hold on a fucking second. delaware is a state?? i thought it was a river? or is the river more important than the state? why don't i know this? (i should mention i don't like in america, i'm just confused)
there is delaware (state) and delaware (river)
both are equally strange
the state is a tiny little cryptid thing
the rive is a monster that spans new york, pennsylvania, new jersey and delaware. also washington crossed it once and that was like kinda a big deal i guess. like crossing the rubicon in rome.
the state tries to me more important with its “im the first state!!!” bs (seriously its even on the fucking license plates) but we all know. its the river.
Just a random assortment of headcanons & AUs for Arcane:
Headcanons:
- Vi does that thing cats do where she just curls up in random patches of sunlight.
-- Caitlyn almost had a heart attack because of this one time Vi was just casually sleeping on the edge of the roof.
-- One time her parents asked why her girlfriend was sprawled out on the coffee table and just "damn it Vi."
- Vi sometimes falls asleep while standing up.
- Caitlyn eats ice cubes.
- Caitlyn's parents are just as protective of Vi as she is. They hear someone say something and go into full "tf did you say about our future daughter in law" mode (in their polite Piltovian way, of course).
- Caitlyn told Jayce about that time Vi punched the tower down so now he sometimes asks her to help test the durability of whatever he's building because surely if it can survive that it can survive anything.
- Every time Jayce says or does something stupid Viktor just bonks him on the head with his cane.
Alternate Universes:
- Arcane AU where everything is the same except instead of actual explosives Jinx just yeets paint bombs at everyone.
- Instead of getting arrested Vi is adopted by Sevika.
-- I find the mental image of Sevika turning to Silco and going "if you get to keep the small explody child, I get to keep the small punchy child" amusing.
-- Eventually leads to a "competitive parenting" dynamic where Silco is actively trying to win while Sevika just does it by accident.
-- If Sevika wants time off or a raise she just asks Vi to break something that would inconvenience Silco (though, let's be honest, Vi doesn't need much convincing for that), sometimes they get Jinx to help because Silco is physically incapable of being angry at Jinx for longer than five minutes.
- AU where Vi actually is the leader of Zaun but Caitlyn doesn't know cause it just never comes up, Vi herself doesn't mention it and no one in the Undercity brings it up because "what idiot doesn't know that?" so the two of them are just off doing their thing without it ever being addressed, cut to some point in the future & the council mention wanting to meet whoever's in charge and Vi pipes up "oh yeah, that's me" and Caitlyn's just standing there like "excuse me, what???"
He's got that irresistible Mysterious Italian Attachment Style(c) with social awkwardness sprinkled on top.
I NEEDED THESE IN MY LIFE

new concept art that will fill your eyes with tears of happiness
Dragon age inquisition is fun and games until you realise that some of the content in the game is absolutely mental.
You hear the struggles of a gay man in Dorian. And how acceptance is still a far reaching concept even for parents, let alone society. I bawled my eyes out when he said "I'm never what you wanted". He was the only son and imagine thinking that you weren't what your parents hoped you would be just because you preferred men.
You hear about the struggles of trans people in Krem. Jesus fucking Christ, I have literally no words for this. When he tells us that how his father accepted (in contrast to Dorian's unaccepting father), I think I tore up a little. He shares with you how good it felt to be pretending to be a man when he was little. And God, this character will always have my heart. And can't forget Bull's "THEY ARE REAL MEN. JUST LIKE YOU ARE." 😭❤️
You learn about the struggles of drug addiction in Cullen. There are no words to say that I haven't already said or thought about Cullen. But this quest is titled "perseverance" and jfc, if that's not Cullen's whole character in a nutshell. A character so driven to service and helping that he marked his body permanently forever to achieve it. And then to change your views, to overcome and maintain a clear head while this drug is always on the back of your mind and your dreams are just terrible because of the lack of it.... I don't know how Cullen stands up and does his job every day for the entirety of inquisition. And please, please, don't give him lyrium. He looks broken when he takes it again and I've only seen that frame once in my life and I honestly can't watch it again.
You hear about the minutiae of being real in Cole. I have even less to say about Cole. The concept of spirit/human is a bit fast and loose in Da inquisition than it is in previous titles. But the cornerstone is forgiveness or letting go. You can't relate to Cole but you can relate to these choices. And it's fascinating to see Cole as a human, doing human things, making friends, falling for the bard in the tavern. And even better is his spirit quest line, which I personally like because Cole seems happier after it. And it produces good dialogues between him and varric and solas.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg really. You hear so much stuff about love and life and doing the right thing or wanting to do the right thing and it's just one the reasons that even after a decade later, this game remains so popularly talked about.
Bioware really did god's work in this game. ❤️
wait why wouldn't horikoshi make bakugou accountable for his mistakes? has he done something like that before?
I'm new in the fandom so I don't know much
Because Hori has been pushing this narrative that Bakugo has "changed" even though Bakugo has done nothing to prove it, other than being slightly more willing to work with others. And even then, only on his own terms.
Bakugo still treats Midoriya badly, still referring to him as "Deku", which is not a cutesy childhood nickname, but an insult which means "Useless" or "Limbless doll".
He only told All Might that he bullied Midoriya, without giving the full story, which means that nobody truly knows the extent of what he's done.
On top of that, Bakugo blames Midoriya's self-sacrificing tendencies on All Might, when it's actually his bullying that led Midoriya into believing that he's only useful when he's helping others, which is every kind of messed up when you look at the latest manga chapters.
And spoiler alert: Bakugo leading class 1-A to bring Midoriya back by force? Not good. I have a whole entire list of abusive traits that apply to Bakugo's treatment of Midoriya, if you want to check my anti bkdk tag, and Bakugo searching for Midoriya so he can keep tabs on his victim? Not good. Not to mention, Bakugo has the entire class (aka Midoriya's first real friends) backing him up, which is isolating, and manipulating Midoriya to come back where Bakugo can control and keep him under his thumb; yet again, more abuse tactics.
Hori has this whole "show-don't-tell" kind of thing with his narrative, and it pisses me off to no end, especially when it comes to abusers like Bakugo and Endeavor, who are made out to be somewhat sympathetic, and their "redemption arcs" seem to mainly focus on their own individual pain, rather than their victims.
Also, I want to add that Bakugo is Hori's favourite character, and for whatever reason, he keeps winning the popularity polls so Hori can't exactly give him actual development, or else that'd mean losing readers (honestly, it's sloppy writing at best).
I hope this cleared things up for you, Anon, and I'm sorry about the essay, but that is the reason why I believe that Hori is going to wimp out, and probably make Bakugo give some half-assed apology and then go right back to mistreating Midoriya. I don't really answer asks like this as much as I used to, so please nobody come to my inbox with anti bkg takes.
