I am not meant for casual. I was born for soul crushing devotion.
we continue to draw that old man………
Sometimes I remember there are people out there who enjoy Venom and are not gay and/or Monsterfuckers
“Venom definitely isn’t permanently dead don’t be sad”
I’m not upset Venom died and I’m not worried it’s permanent, I’m mad that their relationship and character development somehow regressed. I’m upset that it looked like Eddie didn’t give a shit that his “best friend in the whole world” just died for his sake in front of him. And instead of giving us any sort of emotional reaction from Eddie we got what looks like a TikTok edit made by a fourteen year old on CapCut. Eddie should have at least, like, cried or something. Though realistically that man should have been sobbing on the ground screaming “please don’t leave me! I need you!” In the first movie when Venom is sacrificing himself Eddie shouts “Venom no!!!” And they had been together for, like, three days. You really telling me that the death of your year long companion doesn’t make you shed a single tear???
Also! All of this is emphasized by the fact that Eddie spent the entire movie bitching and moaning about how much stuff sucked that when Venom died it kind of came across as Eddie being relieved of Venom as a burden on his life. It kind of seemed like Eddie was happy about this outcome and it left a bad taste in my mouth.
Someone: Why do you keep showing me clips from Star Trek TOS all the time?
Me:
#same as hell duh
LEONARD NIMOY (Vladeck) and WILLIAM SHATNER (Michael Donfield) appearing together for the first time in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. episode "The Project Strigas Affair" (1964), directed by Joseph Sargent
Amok Time.
When Izzy first walked out I was worried that he would be made into a joke that the crew would laugh at
but then he started singing and the dancing began and I realized that he wasn’t meant to be a joke at all. This is the most open and happy we’ve ever seen Izzy and the show treated it that way. Not mocking him but instead celebrating this moment.
When we talk about queer representation it’s usually just focused on queer relationships, but what I love about this episode is it shows other sides of being queer. That moment where Izzy saw Wee John doing his makeup and had a realization that he wanted that too? That is what being queer means to me. The crew singing along and cheering for him? That is what being apart of the queer community means to me.
What i love about this show is that it shows queer joy, not in a sanitized way, but in away that is messy, beautiful, and without any mockery or shame.
see i don’t hate people that don’t ship sambucky but the people that actively hate on it are something else… like yall could be shipping the craziest out of character insane ship but see two men who have the healthiest canon relationship and a fun fanbase and be like “oh fuck those guys”
