Imagine an au where Richie finds out Eddie used to have a crush on Bill and keeps mentioning it, "you liked Bill?? What is so great about Bill?" - basically he's jealous and he's oblivious until Eddie gets annoyed, since you know, it was an old crush and flusteredly blurted out "I like you now anyway you idiot" and Richie goes into his realization of his sexuality and of course loves Eddie and they get together but that doesn't stop him from mentioning and bragging about Eddie's love for him to anyone and everyone anyway

Imagine if Richie thought he had his gay feelings in check and in secret but while he was talking, Eddie reaches out to him to brush a strand of hair from his forehead and Richie ℂ𝕒𝕟'𝕥 𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕝𝕖 and his voice breaks

Can you imagine a modern AU reddie where Richie always talks about he and Eddie's wedding and what it'll be like and Eddie's like "???? We aren't even dating yet??" but it wasn't like he was going to say no

My favourite thought atm is the idea of Richie realising Eddie likes something he said or did out of the blue (referring himself as daddy as a joke, or wearing a particular tight shirt with his big hairy arms showing, or cleaning the house without being told) and Eddie not retorting back and obvsly struggling to say words because he's surprisingly into it and Richie is still NOT OVeR that he got his boy after all these years and the fact that Eddie is INTO HIM for simple things like that and he's just over the moon and can't help voicing his disbelief "what.. WHAT No... NO.. YOU.. REALLY?! RIGHT NOW??"

And Eddie: "shut up. Fuck you. MAYBE? idk fuck you!"
