Starset using AI in the music video for Degenerate is the whole point

it’s been confirmed by the band that a team of artists were paid to create art to feed AI to create the visualizer

and maybe I'm putting too much faith in them-- but for the messaging of their music, it really blew my mind that people had to ask for confirmation that the use of AI was intentional/ironic

like, there was a two-album story arc about the dangers of unchecked technology in the hands of people who are willing to exploit others

hell, the lyrics of Degenerate itself are commenting on it--

of course, I don't know the whole story, so take my commentary with a grain of salt, but I think it's really alarming to see the knee-jerk reactions many people have been posting all over social media

Originally, I was just going to draw it as your average mutant werewolf monster, but decided that eldritch amalgamations that were dragged up from hell, as a sin to nature itself, were much more fun! :)
