I Am Still Thinking About This Btw

i think a lot about the minute details of the ghost world. like the living world resetting doesn't seem to be an infinite duplication glitch, but resetting in the real world doesn't equal resetting in ghost world ? i want an episode thats just 45 minutes of worldbuilding, no plot advancement, just tell me the intricate details of how things work in this universe

wally  occasionally  gives  himself  little  pep  talks  in  the  vague  style  of  a  team  huddle  in  his  head.  especially  post  -  discovering  mr.  martin  can't  be  trusted.  they  consist  of  exactly  what  you  would  expect  an  18  year  old  boy  to  tell  himself  to  hype  himself  up.  which  is  to  say,  just  telling  himself  how  great  he  is  /  how  much  everyone  likes  him  (  sure!  )  /  how  good  looking  he  is,  etcetera.  i  think  this  happens  even  more  when  there's  some  cute  new  ghost  (  lets  be  real,  most  new  ghosts  are  cute  to  him,  like  a  -  [REDACTED]  )  around  who  he  wants  to  impress.  little  internal  pep  talks  every  time  he  flirts  with  talks  to  whoever  the  current  object  of  his  affection  is.  it  would  be  incredibly  embarrassing  if  anyone  was  able  to  read  his  mind  when  he's  doing  this,  actually.

i'm gonna write in a min but my thought for today is how half the reason i'm here is bc i keep telling roo about how someone needs to give wally a well deserved troy bolton arc and it might as well be me

“you  were?”  time  has  a  tendency  to  bleed  together  after  decades  surrounded  by  the  same  scenery  day  in  and  day  out.  even  harder  to  keep  track  once  you  get  the  ghosts  he  doesn't  talk  to  day  in  and  day  out  involved.  no  offense  to  the  others.  “are  you  sure?  i  could  have  sworn  that  happened  before  you  got  here.  or  was  that  that  other  girl…”   other  ghosts  bleed  together  too,  apparently.  unfortunately  not  even  death  can  fix  the  mild  brain  damage  that  direct  hits  to  the  head  can  do. but  in  his  defense,  there  are  a  startling  number  of  them  around  here.

christens blog w this thought that hit me like a brick last night about how mr. martin's sheepdog metaphor is meant like a bad thing but like. yes sheepdogs are loyal and obedient but they have a purpose, they have a job, they're livestock guardians protecting their flock

yeah,  she  did.  and  as  usual,  it  was  in  one  ear  and  out  the  other.  yet  here  he  is,  still  moping  around  like  a  sad  golden  retriever.  “what  was  i  supposed  to  do  instead?”  it's  genuine  question.  in  his  mind,  the  options  were  doing  exactly  what  he  did  —  throwing  absolutely  all  of  himself  into  everything  he  physically  (  incorporeally?  )  could  —  or  sit  by  doing  nothing  and  earn  himself  another  forty  years  stagnating in  afterlife  support  group.  “i  don't  know  how  to  not  do  that.  i  would  have  done  the  same  thing  for  any  of  you.”
