I got my (now 18-year-old) daughter into Ao3 back in 2021. I taught her she should always comment - even if the fic looks old or abandoned or whatever. She did.

Well - she got this email this morning:

The fic was written in 2014 and essentially abandoned.

Bethy read and reviewed in 2021 (and was actually the only person who had commented at all).

Today in 2025 - the final chapter was posted by the author and this was her reply to Bethy’s comment.

Sadly, my hard drive got corrupted and I lost my art folder - which means I lost my Vijinx Week WIPS + this WIP of AU Powder and Vi dancing together at the party:

Arcane (2021 - 2024) -> Eyes of Vi.

Yk how in episode seven the disc intro thing changes to ekko and power which is a nice nod to the fact that they're in an alternate timeline but also that they're lovers and soulmates. Which means- normally we see vi and jinx disc which should also mean that they're lovers and soulmates that are just doomed, in this essay I will—

Jinx has "red violet" eyes and vi has "powder blue" eyes. And I'm supposed to believe that they're NOT in love with eachother ???

You gotta love how it only took an episode for Vi to get over her angst phase and immediately be all "Let's settle down and raise our daughter together in the hippy commune!" with Jinx.

Also big respect to Isha. Sometimes a family is just an adopted mute girl, her two sister-mums, and her werewolf grandad. And she'll do anything for them. That's beautiful.
