Oh, and the last fanart i made is spoilers for Vi's Last Gift.
arcane really gave us a butch lesbian protag from an underprivileged city district whose parents were murdered by cops, then paired her up with a prudish cop. said cop later coerces her into joining the police force, leads a glorified SWAT team on an """anti-terrorism""" crusade against poor people, and commits literal war crimes against them, all while pressuring the protag to kill her own sister who she's desperately trying to rehabilitate. the cop also never apologizes or tries to make amends, nor does she really sympathize with the protag's conflict over having to kill her own sister or express regret over how she's treated civilians in the impoverished district. and we're supposed to root for them to be together at the end
but it's cool because she has a sexy eyepatch and a cool gun and a posh british accent!! ...right guys...?
If the writers and fans realized and leaned into how toxic caitvi’s dynamic became in season 2 I probably wouldn’t have hated it so much but everyone is trynna convince me it’s a great and healthy ship but it really ain’t. and that would be fine IF PEOPLE ACKNOWLEDGED IT!! but no they’re just ignoring it
Anndd this is the ones i(should be)'m working on! The last it's for a mini comic with that audio. Oh and the first is in a universe where Ekko does WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO, and saves Isha!
Can't stop thinking about a Jinx "corrupts" Vi au. Losing my mind over it a little bit
Maybe in a world where after they meet up after the timeskip and they're getting jumped by the Firelights they somehow manage to escape together, alone. Maybe Vi would gently question how severe she was acting during the fight, but she'd be quick to play it off as, again, she "did what she had to do to survive".
I just think it'd be interesting to see how Vi's unconditional love for Powder/Jinx could effect them at a time like this. Prior to season 2, Vi is like Jinx's biggest ride or die defender and her bottomless guilt and longing for the past is driving her in a trance to chase after and protect Jinx.
She hasn't had her whole "my sister is dead" moment yet, so without that big act of the tea party leading to the destruction of the council building, if they were able to slow-burn build their connection back up, I think Vi could slowly become desensitized to Jinx's new more destructive and sadistic nature because it's her sister at the end of the day. I mean we've already seen how her mind can easily be clouded by guilt and longing and affection so much so that it corrupts her entirely with the whole strike team thing.
Rn I'm not sure where the plot of such an au would go from there, but I just think the concept of Vi letting go of all prior morals and convictions just to have Jinx is. Is. Is.
Three years.
Vi, imagining her dream life with Powder: Cottage core engineer romance 🥺
Jinx, imaging her dream life with Vi: Burning Piltover to the ground and making out on the ashes 😍
AU where Jinx survives and reunites with Vi after the battle!
fanart i made of Noe's (@ /aiseriz on twitter) Vijinx AU 🤙 Older sis jinx about to give Vi the haircut of her life (its so horrible she gets a buzzcut after)
yeah idk man maybe i just don't like it when characters whose whole story is about choosing to live and overcoming suicidal ideation end up dying in a hero sacrifice. kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth, not gonna lie.
Rewatching this scene I realise that "Still got your insides" sounds alot more like a Vi line then a Jinx line which leads me to believe this is Jinx using Vi's line to her when she first took a punch as a kid.
Makes this whole scene just a little bit deeper and explains Vis contemplative reaction
