I kinda have an ideas that the reader keeps getting in fights with the older soldiers cause they don’t think the reader is deserving of being in the 141 but you don’t have to do specifically that. summary: Price’s treatment of you does result in some tension between you and the other soldiers.

Lazily, you stretched as you folded your arms across your chest, eyes feeling heavy as you yawned so harshly that your eyes watered and your jaw ached; Price had gotten you up early, said something about one of your old RAF colleagues coming over to see how you were doing, and now you were shattered. Price was lucky that he was family, if anything; after he had taken it upon himself to train you up when you first joined the army, seeing you all the way through to joining the RAF and then taking you under his wing so that he could train you for the task force before you joined it under his command, it was hard to think of him as anything else.

Alright, can someone tell me if I’m being stupid, cause I don’t know if I’m missing a point or something. So, we all know that Ghost wears a mask when he’s on deployment, but I also see a lot of people putting him in civilian settings (off base without other soldiers around / with his partner etc.) with the mask on, too.

I’m not sure if I’m genuinely just being stupid here (lmao 😭) but doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the mask? His enemies don’t know what he looks like because of the mask. Not many people wear skull balaclavas when they’re just going about their business, so it would make him stand out more.

For example, if he was going shopping with his partner, and for some reason his enemy was there, they might assume it’s him because of the balaclava, thus putting his partner in danger as a result. They’d just go ‘Oh look, it might or might not be Ghost, and who’s that with him? Hmmm they might be important, let’s kidnap them and use their existence against him! :D’

Like, if I worked with him and then when I went on leave I saw this big ass man with a skull balaclava I’d go ‘oh, look, it’s Ghost in the wild’. Like you’d just know it’s him - the mask would lose its purpose and put his family in danger instead of protecting them like it was originally designed to do.

But if I worked with him, and saw him barefaced in town, I’d have no idea it’s him because the balaclava would be gone. I wouldn’t spare him a second glance because I’d just assume it’s some random man going about his business. I’d have no idea it’s him because there’s no mask.

Not to mention the balaclava would make him look sus af in public 😭 I live in England myself and have seen security in shops tell people (mainly teenagers, if you live here you know who I mean) to take off their masks. If he refused, he’d be in deep shit for refusing to cooperate. Even if he showed his ID, it wouldn’t help cause they can’t see his face.

Anywho, idk I’m just rambling atp but I feel like him wearing the mask outside of deployment doesn’t really make sense? 😭 I might just be missing a point or something idk

Edit: Speaking of Covid masks, I feel like he’d like the times when we all wore them because atp masks most likely bring him a sense of comfort. However, the moment people stop wearing them out and about, he probably would, too.

Since you didn't really specify if König and Male Reader were in a relationship, I kinda just wrote this from König's perspective and him watching this all go down lol

König + Male Reader with his Raven

It was surprising for König to see another man that was equal to him in height and size considering he was a mountain of a man himself

Only thing was, Y/n was the type of guy who didn't need much sleep, like another man he knew, and lurked around the base late at night, along with an ungodly silence that shouldn't even be humanly possible

If the Austrian did catch the man sleeping, if would be roughly for an hour or even less than that

Hell, König remembered when Y/n decided to take watch for them one night and while he slept soundly like a normal person, Y/n was wide awake each night, hardly looking drained each morning as well

Honestly where the hell did this man get his energy from?

König had no idea...

He couldn't help but ask Y/n, which he thankfully obliged

He explained how his old unit, (you can name them), were early risers

They didn't need much sleep to function in the field

Plus, most of their operations involved staying awake for long periods of time until the mission was complete

So for Y/n, being up late was natural to him

König could only look at the man in bewilderment as he could only imagine how someone could stay up so long and not go insane

Before he could ask, he took notice of the raven that was always around him

Y/n called it P/n and König was in awe at how comfortable it had become with him

P/n was around Y/n all the time no matter where he was in base

If he was cooking, the raven was cuddled up near his chest, or sometimes rest on his shoulder while peering down at the food

Sometimes König thought they were having their own little conversations about something and couldn't help but laugh if he caught Y/n and raven arguing too

If they had just gotten back from a mission, Y/n would tend to P/n first to make sure it didn't have any injuries then himself after

König could only coo everytime he saw you two

He hoped Y/n would soon trust him enough to let him near P/n and maybe even himself, but only time would tell between you two...

So, he continued to watch you both from afar

✎ tags : gender neutral!reader, angst but i tried to keep it vague, otherwise pretty much just platonic fluff, not proofread

♡ to put it mildly, the 141 guys thought you were a bit weird when you first joined, along with your dog. you spent more time with the animal than you did with humans, training, doting, just generally being in the same space.

♡ eventually the team came to understand your bond together, and who doesn't love dogs? while it was always yours, it also kind of became the team's dog.

♡ so when price had to haul you over his shoulder while you screamed at him to let you go, to let you back in that ruined building, they all felt it. they felt it the entire way back to base, the absence of the waging tail and you cooing at it on the entire helicopter ride back.

♡ you try to pretend like you're doing okay for a couple of days afterward. brief smiles that didn't fit right on your sunken face, exchanging polite greetings that sounded so dull. they walk on eggshells, always unsure of what to say to help you.

♡ they wait for you to break, and when you finally do, they send kyle in first. they figure he has the best shot of conveying their empathy to you (he's just as awkward as the rest of them, he just volunteered himself to try to help you first because they were all just staring at each other when soap brought it up).

♡ he brings you a case of bottles of your favorite drink and snacks, dropping them on your desk before sitting next to you on your bed. he asks you faintly if you want to talk about it.

♡ he lets you get it out, lets you cry and rant and whatever you need in that moment while he sits with you. when your tears finally run dry and the weight in your chest doesn't feel as empty, kyle gives you a hug and rubs your back for a few moments.

♡ the other three men are waiting when he comes out, and kyle shrugs and says he thinks he helped. soap snorted and asked him "what's that mean?" and kyle explains briefly what happened.

♡ they manage to coax you out of your room the next day. ghost and price were somewhere else on the base, and kyle had taken over soap's attempt at cooking eggs (i sincerely believe soap can only cook well enough to keep himself alive while kyle is actually pretty good). they sit you down and make you eat. soap takes the credit for the eggs even though you obviously saw kyle finishing them, and it makes you laugh a bit.

♡ they drag you to sparring practice, despite your many, many protests. you find that that's where ghost and price have been. they put you up against ghost first, and you're convinced that they're trying to make you more depressed now.

♡ as soon as he's coming at you, you're in "soldier mode" again and just focus on trying not to land on your ass too hard when he throws you down. usually you're a good sport and always shake hands after the rounds, but frustration was bubbling up quick today with every time you got pinned. you found yourself putting more and more into it, until you were actually fighting, clawing, biting, doing whatever you could. ghost let you and he took it easily. it was exactly what he would have needed if he were in your position; he still didn't just let you win, though.

♡ soap doesn't really know how to help you in a big way, so he just makes sure the little things are taken care of. he helps you clean your weapons and makes sure kyle buys the right drinks for you when he sends him out even though kyle knows what to get. he sticks around you but doesn't make it seem like you're on suicide watch or anything, just that you don't have to be alone for too long. he makes sure you eat, and you always answer "yes" because you don't even want him to offer to cook for you.

♡ it takes a couple of months before you're almost back to your normal self. there's always something missing, and you still reach down to your side on instinct, but the pit in your stomach stops opening quite as wide. you learn how to remember the happy memories again.

♡ when you're ready and if you feel like it, price is the one that takes you to start looking for a new furry friend. you know everything there is to know about dogs, and he knows you know it all, but you still get lectured about what to look for and what to avoid and not to get too close in case they try to bite. basically, he just becomes your father.

♡ "not that one, 's lookin' at me funny," he'll say once you start looking at them. "that one won't even make it through the heli ride!" basically, he thinks none of the dogs here are good enough for you, even though they're all wonderful in their own ways. he almost walks away when you kneel down and start giving scratches to a pomeranian that hadn't stopped yipping since you'd walked in.

♡ while they may all be emotionally-stunted men, they know what loss is like. they'll be there for you in the ways that matter.

Things I head-canon Gaz would do in a relationship bc everyone makes him so basic and I’m sick of it

Every-time he wants to take a nap with you he send that “the missile is very eepy and wants to take just a small sleeb” and says “me fr” under it

Such a cuddle-bug, loves being able to hold you and keep you close

Likes to drive around/to a secluded spot with you in the passenger seat with music blasting, he forces you to be a passenger princess

When you two go to a secluded spot after driving around for a bit you just make out for awhile

Uses your perfume/deodorant when he’s away from you, bought another bottle of whatever you use to take with him when he’s deployed

In return he likes to rub himself all over you and put his shirts on you to make you smell like him. A little weird yeah but he loves it

But if you’ve had a bad day he’ll hold you until you force your way out of his arms to go to the toilet or something

Woods

He didn't mean to be to hard on you, you were just not paying attention and almost got killed. He was scared. Woods did everything he could to protect you and you still just didn't listen, he had to scold you. But now he's regretting it. Adler was the one who noticed, he seen how you would nervously look at woods and then look away quickly like a scared child, how you would make sure he wasn't talking to you and did your best to hide yourself from him. When woods noticed he felt horrible, and tried his best to talk to you but it was hard. When he finally learned why he corner you to apologize, he had to or he'd never live it down and feel guilty for the rest of his life.

Valerie

She's hard on people, everyone knows this. She isn't nice, or caring towards people. Of course you were at expectation, in private of course but still everyone could tell she was nicer to you and cared more about you, until she scolded you about something small. She didn't notice, like woods. And it wasn't until you wouldn't come to bed, she waited and waited for what felt like an eternity but you never came. She finally got you down to her office to talk to you and she could see how you struggled at first, this was the first time she was genuinely patient with someone. Valerie let you calm down then talk, then she felt like shit. First she didn't notice her own boyfriend feels upset and scared of her and now she's realizing she made you have to remember bad childhood memories? She felt horrible and made sure to make it up to you.

Gaz

Now Gaz isn't one to yell at people, or scold, just anything like that in general. It's usually Price. But Gaz was scared and worried and it just it happened because you were being reckless, yes, Gaz loves you, but God you scare him sometimes. After he had scolded you he went straight to his room to calm down and if price can notice that Gaz is upset, he can notice you too. While Price was taking to Gaz you were no where to be seen, which would have worried Gaz but he currently was focused on Price and his emotions. After Price was done talking Gaz sent out to find you, but he couldn't find you. It wouldn't have worried him if soap didn't run up to him asking where you were. Now the fear hit him. He spent the whole time looking high and low for his beloved boyfriend worried something happened to him. When he found you, he crushed you in a hug, apologizing. He didn't let you talk more focused on getting his apologize out there. He never found out about your past due to his apologizing.

König

He felt bad a second after he scolded you. You wouldn't even get a chance to leave as the bad memories flooded your head, König pulled you into a hug directly after and apologized for scolding you and how he was just scared. He could tell you were still upset and you explained how you can take time away from but he needs you to know that he's sorry, he really is, he'd be upset too if someone scolded him like a child. If you did avoid him after his apologize, it'd hurt him but he wouldn't try and stop you. Instead watching you from afar sadly until you came back to him.

Ghost

Now Ghost he's done some scolding and he never feels bad for the person be scolded. Same goes for you. He wouldn't scold someone for no reason, so he'd just watch you avoid him and honestly he'd probably make it worst. Mainly because he'd think your only avoiding him because he scolded you, not because of the past. So eventually he'd corner you and tell you that you shouldn't avoid him because of a little scolding and to get over it since it wasn't a harsh scolding. Which might make the simulation worst. Soap would came to Ghost a few minutes later, pissed off. Soap would process to yell at Ghost in his heavy Scottish accent about how bad he hurt you and accidentally say why Ghost hurt you so bad. And no soap wouldn't let him talk. Ghost would wait for you to finally come around him so he can apologize.
