Hell yeah. Time for me to blab about the comic instead of the meme.

Anyone remember this legend of a comic? Tintin, arguably Hergés greatest work.

Action packed, full of mysteries, and humorous, Tintin is one of the greatest comics ever. It’s one of the first stories that got me into analyzation, one of the reasons I love mysteries and puzzles today.

Admittedly, some parts (Mainly Tintin in the Congo and The Blue Lotus) of the comic are rather…Ehh, blunt and straight, racist. It gets really stereotypical at times, Hergé has actually admitted to solely confirming to the stereotypes at the time.

The art style itself is simple but improves over time. There is no variation in the paneling but it gets the job done. The lettering/speech bubbles can be kinda confusing for new readers but you get used to it eventually.

The characters are kinda flat. Fitting to their descriptions with no questions asked, no real backstory for anyone. But this a comic from the 20th century, cut it some slack. They fit well together though, all of them fitting together to make a great cast.

The storylines? That’s the gold. Really intriguing, having plot twists and suspense all the way through. If not for the plot, I probably would’ve stopped reading.

Do I recommend this? Yeah. Will it be hard to read in the beginning? Yes. But stick for the storylines, some peak writing is found there ngl.

so on and forth. Not even Bruce or Alfred are spared. Duke won't know proportional response if it hit him in the face. Regularly, daytime villains send batman complaint letters (!!!) about the signal, because damnit they're just robbing banks, no need to bring up their mommy issues into it??? with Duke, there is no passive there is only aggressive. You won't think it, looking into his warm brown eyes and his lovely, easy smile. but you will know it. by god, if you start shit, you will know it.

Bruce: Damian care to explain why Dick is covered in blue highlighter ink?

Short summary on me;

I rarely talk about my actual HCs for media hyperfixations on here but I feel like it. Here's some Demon Slayer Headcanons/little observations about mostly physical aspects.

As much as I love how Giyuu's plain shin wrappings really dig in the point that he has the characteristics of a rock (I say this in a loving way) I prefer to think/live in the delusion that they're fabric, similar to Zenitsu's, which matches his haori sides.

I also like to think that he ties his hair using a ribbon of some sort (usually red, though maybe we can pretend he actually has the energy to change the colors every once in a while) and it's long so the two pieces fall down with his ponytail. I think he'd just look beautiful.

I thought Nezuko just had really dark brown hair for the longest time, usually because it's highlighted with warmer tones in lighting, unlike most black-haired characters, so even though I know it's supposed to be black I always say it's dark brown. I think she'd look absolutely stunning that way, and it makes sense to me since there's like no brown haired characters. And maybe a bit of it is also projection. I also HC the same for Makio and Hinatsuru's hair though I'm SURE Makio's is supposed to be dark brown actually. I swear.

Sanemi would definitely have crooked canine teeth that never really grow down with the rest of his teeth (you know the kind I'm talking about) and they stick out a lot. It makes him look like he has fangs sometimes, or just makes him look a little snarly n cute in general

On a similar note, I swear I'm not obsessed with teeth I just have so many HCs pertaining to them, Sabito's two front teeth would be long like a rabbit's. He has those British rabbit teeth. I always think of rabbits when I see him despite the whole fox thing and I think it'd look so cute on him!

Even though he just has long demon canines in canon (I think?) I like to imagine Genya having shark teeth, like Denji. He has those anime-boy sharp biters.

I love the HC that Zenitsu has freckles, same for Giyuu though I'm not completely sold on that one being a 100% thing. Zenitsu just has freckle-boy energy. And they're not brown, they're the orange kind.

This one, similar to Nezuko's, is where it's just plainly defying canon facts, but I love the idea of Kanao being a little taller. Maybe it's because of that one picture where she's hauling Inosuke away from the infinity castle, or because I like projecting my friend onto her, but I love the idea of her being around 5'6 to 5'8, the second tallest of the kamaboko squad next to Genya's 6'+ ass.

10 Non-Lethal Injuries to Add Pain to Your Writing

If you need a simple way to make your characters feel pain, here are some ideas: 

1. Sprained Ankle

A common injury that can severely limit mobility. This is useful because your characters will have to experience a mild struggle and adapt their plans to their new lack of mobiliy. Perfect to add tension to a chase scene.

2. Rib Contusion

A painful bruise on the ribs can make breathing difficult, helping you sneak in those ragged wheezes during a fight scene. Could also be used for something sport-related! It's impactful enough to leave a lingering pain but not enough to hinder their overall movement.

3. Concussions

This common brain injury can lead to confusion, dizziness, and mood swings, affecting a character’s judgment heavily. It can also cause mild amnesia.

I enjoy using concussions when you need another character to subtly take over the fight/scene, it's an easy way to switch POVs. You could also use it if you need a 'cute' recovery moment with A and B.

4. Fractured Finger

A broken finger can complicate tasks that require fine motor skills. This would be perfect for characters like artists, writers, etc. Or, a fighter who brushes it off as nothing till they try to throw a punch and are hit with pain.

5. Road Rash

Road rash is an abrasion caused by friction. Aka scraping skin. The raw, painful sting resulting from a fall can be a quick but effective way to add pain to your writing. Tip: it's great if you need a mild injury for a child.

6. Shoulder Dislocation

This injury can be excruciating and often leads to an inability to use one arm, forcing characters to confront their limitations while adding urgency to their situation. Good for torture scenes.

7. Deep Laceration

A deep laceration is a cut that requires stitches. As someone who got stitches as a kid, they really aren't that bad! A 2-3 inch wound (in length) provides just enough pain and blood to add that dramatic flair to your writing while not severely deterring your character.

This is also a great wound to look back on since it often scars. Note: the deeper and wider the cut the worse your character's condition. Don't give them a 5 inch deep gash and call that mild.

8. Burns

Whether from fire, chemicals, or hot surfaces, burns can cause intense suffering and lingering trauma. Like the previous injury, the lasting physical and emotional trauma of a burn is a great wound for characters to look back on.

9. Pulled Muscle

This can create ongoing pain and restrict movement, offering a window to force your character to lean on another. Note: I personally use muscle related injuries when I want to focus more on the pain and sprains to focus on a lack of mobility.

10. Tendonitis

Inflammation of a tendon can cause chronic pain and limit a character's ability to perform tasks they usually take for granted. When exploring tendonitis make sure you research well as this can easily turn into a more severe injury.

This is a quick, brief list of ideas to provide writers inspiration. Since it is a shorter blog, I have not covered the injuries in detail. This is inspiration, not a thorough guide. Happy writing! :)
