Bart was canonically trapped in a video game for over half of his life, and he has a reaction time faster than the speed of light. There ain’t no way these people are beating him.

a friend?? Hello?? me too??
Hello! My name is Bee and I’d like to find some people who enjoy the same things as me!
I enjoy:
•DC Comics (specifically the bats and the flashes. My favorite character is Bart Allen.)
• Cartoons
• Diverse and Inclusive Horror
• The Adventure Zone
• D&D
• Psychology
• Talking about ADHD and neurodivergency in general, since I have ADHD.
• Writing (Comics, fanfics, and original stories.)
Bart has perfect photographic memory, which means he remembers everything he hears, sees or reads exactly how it was. So, technically, if he were to read language translation books, he'd be able to understand every language. Pronounciation would be hard for him sure, but he could understand and write in any language if he had enough focus to read the scripts. I'm not crazy, he totally could be a human translator for everything. He'd be every language teachers favourite.
Hi, back by unpopular demand, ME! (Updated this cause Bart has died YET AGAIN in the timespan of this post and now, also I forgot one. So yes, Bart has died a total of five times now.💀) this is Jaybart rantpost part 2.
So, as I said in the last post, I'd explain Bart's three (Now 5) separate deaths. So without further ado, lets get on with angst!
Smallsville sacrifice: Bart actually ends up sacrificing himself for Clark Kents sake and many more in Smallsville, Giving up his speed to the Black Flash or the "grim reaper" of the speedforce. Nasty lookin guy, all black and withered. Hard to miss. He gives up his speed since his is the only one that's "pure" as Reaper Flash says, afterwards being struck by a Zeus load of lightning. After the light died down, the only thing left was a lightning bolt insignia on the ground where Bart stood. His last words were "smell ya later." (Have I mentioned how much I love him?)
Thad Thawne and the rouges: (I love Thad and I need you to understand that he's not entirely at fault for his actions, no thad hate under this roof.) Anyway, Thad was able to convince, with much bargaining, the Rouges to aid his defeating of his Twin Clone, Bart. Bart looked much older, and had taken the name Flash after everyone else "mysteriously" lost their speed and Wally was gone. So a plan was made, a fight took place, Bart was defeated and later on the Rouges weren't too thrilled about it. Just read the comic, I promise it's great. Right after he died Wally returned as Flash and soon Bart was ressurected but as a teenager again?? And then he took back his title Impulse. Don't ask.
Killed Clone: Okay, so this one is a little bit different from those cause he does technically die, but it's not by normal conventional means so let me explain. Bart has many powers that are unique from the speedforce like his speed sympathy; the ability to feel when another person in the speedforce is in trouble. One of these powers is his speed scouts. He can draw energy from the speedforce to duplicate himself with multiple carbon copies, like Naruto. Anyway, all of them are connected. If one thinks, that thought is communicated between all of them. If one is hurt, they all feel it. So after he was using them in a battle, one of his speed scouts was killed, right in front of him. He was able to feel them die, and feel himself dying even though his pain was falsified and the shock sent him into a coma that later on killed him. After he was ressurected... again, he swore to never use his speed scouts again.
White Flash: In an end-of-the-world scenerio, Barry Allen has to face the speedforce and try to speed his way to save the planet, but he wasn't fast enough. (A common reoccurring theme in Flash comics) so mama speed sent Bart as her massiah to deliver them victory. I'll share with you a quote cause it's better at explaining this than I am: “Grandpa! No time to explain. I can feel it... feel the speedforce all around me... feel it in me... now that I’ve caught up with you, I can Help. This is what I’m meant to do— it’s not enough, what you’re doing now. You’re going to need every bit you can get... every bit that’s in this weird reality... the speedforce sent me around the universe... I collected it for you... took it from Max, Wally, Jay, everyone..! I’ve come through time and space and this universe to become the speedforce’s ultamate messenger, so I could tell you this: run, grandpa. Run and save our world.” Basically he gives up all his speed and the others, sacrificing himself (AGAIN) for the greater good so that Barry might have a chance in saving their time. He turns into the White Flash right before his molecules were torn apart and he ceases, now one with the speedforce.
(SPOILERS FOR FLASH: FUTURE STATE): Bart, Max, and Barry were all looking for ways to bring Wally back from being basically possessed by Famine- yes, the one from the four horsemen. He was apparently inprisoned in the speedforce and took away all the others speed. They found a way to save him, but it was guarded by villains. Bart uses the prisma goggles and gadgets he stole. He rode into the room on a rainbow- try telling me that's not gay. you Can't. Anywho, he stole it from the calculator man, who then shot him with a laser seconds before Max electricuted him. Sad day to have to explain such a badass character was killed by someone named calculator man. At least it wasn't calendar man...
Tim: on the couch texting
Kon: floating behind the couch watching him What are you doing?
Tim: Trying to convince Jason the get me a cool gun I found.
Kon: ...
Tim: ...
Kon: You're adorable but you scare me.
Tim: I know.
Bart: I'm the best observer you know!
Tim: Last week you thought that a sponge in the tower was an owl.
Bart: If you'd stop buyin' ‘em in bird colors, that would stop happening.
I love how all the Impulse fans that originated from the Young Justice tv series are crying “Bart, please. Just say fuck.” While the comic fans are crying “DC, let him say fuck!”
It’s a never ending cycle. We know how feral he is.
I want less of the “Oh they’ll probably never like me, I shouldn’t even attempt to confess” tropes and MORE “I’ve been sending you hints this entire time, dumbass! No person bends over to pick something up that often!” Tropes. Please.
I think some people forget Gotham isn't the only one with absolute Psycopathic villains and crumbling economy. Let's take Central City, for instance.
Central City AND it's sister Keystone City is built on a faction of unionised workers, run off of Company plants, and people in the cities fear robots taking over their jobs enough to protest about it. Often the skies were depicted as smoke-filled and smoggy, except on Sunday's when the factories were down for a day. Not only that but most every coorperation is corrupt and everyone that's rich has made it by evil means. Take Rathaway Industries, or even STAR Labs as examples. Rathaway Industries is old money, but old enough that they got away with poor work conditions, cutting back minimum wage, racism, mysoginy, and homophobia. If what happened to their own son and Heir, Hartley Rathaway, isn't enough to prove that, I don't know what is. STAR Labs is new money and when has technological advancement ever really been clean, let's be honest.
Iron Heights was also one of the most corrupt facilities on City borders, accused of torturing, starving, and beating inmates. "The Pipeline" was created for the more villainous residents, even those who didn't deserve the treatment such as the rogues, and lesser known meta criminals. It was the basement of Iron Heights, full of dripping pipes of chemical water and bad air supply. These inmates were never taken out of their cells and usually weren't given enough clean drinking water, food, or sustainable living, leavig them to rot where they couldn't be seen. No wonder the Rogues were constantly breaking out, now that just makes the Flashes look like the bad guys. (They really are douche bags, them Flashers).
On to scary ass villains, you want to talk about the Joker of Central? I give you Dr Amar, AKA Murmur. He was Barry Allen's first testimony in court and first serial killer case. Amar would cut the tongues of his victims out of them while they were still alive and then silence them for good over his cray obsession for silence. He was trialed for 12 out of 50 murders he was suspected of and sent to Iron Heights for life. While in the prison, his mouth was sewn shut and tongue cut out as to not incriminate himself any further. Durring Wally West's prime as The Flash, he created a virus that spread through the water in the pipeline and infected everyone in Iron Heights with a deadly disease that choked it's victims to death by swelling thier tongues. The only cure was his abnoral blood, and Amar could not be infected.
There was an explosion during the mission. Unexpected, three down. But surprisingly, those three hadn’t suffered the worst of it. Sure, Atrimus had a sprained ankle and slight concussion, Wally suffered a few broken ribs and injured arm while Kaldur endured a broken nose and deep gash on his chest, they weren’t the one’s everyone was worried about. After they all split up, Wally and Dick had found the bomb with only a few seconds to spare. Wally used his body to cover Dick as he ran, ran as fast as he could to get him away but the force of it blew them out the window. Dick’s eyes widened as They fell, Wally’s arms still protectively tucking him into his chest while moving them so that he’d cushion the fall with his own body. The ebony seemed to have been in a trance after they landed on the grass below, fire raging and the team staggering out, Artimus being carried on conner’s back While m’gann helped Kaldur as he limped. Dick remained unresponsive, even as a very alive Wally had tried snapping him back. Then he went to shake him but this gut wrenching scream escaped the ebonys lips as he gripped his hair in anguish and doubled over with sobs. Everyone watched in surprise and horror as the youngest cried and screamed words in a language they didn’t understand.
That was then. They were all in the cave now, silently sitting in the living room without even trying to speak of what happened. No one even knew how to explain it. M’gann may have been able to read his emotion but they all felt it like it was their own as his screams continued to ring in their ears. His cries echoed through the halls as he was escorted to his room with Black Canary and refused to leave since. No one seemed to move.
“Recognized A01” the computer announced and they barely raised their heads to acknowledge the mentors presence.
“Wallace. Come with me.” He said in a rush as he could distantly hear his proteges cries. The ginger nodded absently but looked more like a husk as he followed. This snapped Kaldur out of his trained thoughts as he stood abruptly.
“I— would like to come, too!” He said, almost pleadingly. “I want to know what happened to my friend.
“No.” Batman said, still walking off, a hand on Wally’s back as he led them on faster.
“No?” The Atlantean scoffed.
“Well I don’t care what he says.” Artimus stood with a glare, seemingly pointed to nothing in particular. “I’m going to check on him.”
“Me too.” M’gann spoke from Conner’s chest. The feelings Robin was feeling leaked to her. The suffering of love and loss hit her like a roller coaster she wasn’t strapped into, the turns just daring her to fall out. Conner stood with her, still holding her as she didn’t seem metally stable to walk on her own. They all made the silent decision to go to see him. The closer they came to the bedrooms, the louder the screaming became. The wretch in their hearts slowed them until it came to a halt in front of a cracked open door with the sound of pure nightmarish shrieks. They looked amongst themselves before creaking the door open.
Robin was held tightly to Batman’s chest and sat in his lap on the bed as the man shushed him and pet his hair soothingly. Wally was sitting beside them, tears of his own running down his face.
“Tati, nu se vor opri. Vocile nu se vor opri!” (Daddy, they won't stop. The voices won't stop!) Robin sobbed into the man's chest, holding grips of his costume for his sanity.
“Richard, I need you to look at me.” The bat whispered to him quietly. Blue eyes looked up and the man wiped his tears with his thumb. “Wally is right here, by your side. Alive.” To prove it so, Wally grabbed one of the younger hands, the grip on Batman’s emblem coming undone to hold it tightly. “No one died tonight because you were able to tell the team on time.” Batman kissed the side of Dick’s head, rocking them slowly.
“Bruce… Mama and Papa… they…” Dick sniffled, silent tears trekking down his face, covering the dried paths.
“They’re gone.” Bruce said quickly. “They’ve been gone for years. You need to remember you still have a family.” He added quietly. “Barbra. Alfred. Me.”
“And you have me.” Wally’s voice broke as he joined with a small kiss to the boys knuckles that were white from his grip.
“They died because of me—” Dick sniffled, voice hitching in his throat.
“No no. They died so that you could live. I’m sure they’d be happy to die if it meant you stayed living in their memory.” Bruce corrected. Dick buried his face back into Bruce’s chest, Wally being pulled into the embrace as well. The others that stood at the door, unknown of what to do, left. The words spoken softly between the three all fresh in their memory, replaying like broken records. They all had trouble sleeping that night, quite possibly even more than Dick did. Though he had the comfort of Wally carefully spooning him and whispering sweet nothings while he drifted into restless oblivion. Needless to say, the team never saw Robin as a frail child again.
