Vinny walked and walked through the halls he couldn’t stop, he ignored the stares from some guards and servants and opened the door to his room before closing it before breaking down. His legs gave out as he slid down the door, he couldn’t even get to bed if he wanted too.

Tears streamed down his face as he pulled his knees to his chest and sobbed. Why was it every time he grew somewhat better, something ruined it? It was just a break…right? Why was he making such a big deal about this? Garmadon was right, he needed space, everything’s taken a toll on his mental health.

Fuck…how badly he wanted to kill Enji…how badly he wanted to use the very dagger his hand was stabbed with to gouge Enjis’ eye out…Vinnys’ eyes widened at his thoughts, what was he doing? He couldn’t do that…he would never get close enough to Enji…but how badly he wanted to make him cry in pain…

The cameraman rubbed his eyes as he tried to stop himself from crying, he shouldn’t have walked away like that, someone must’ve saw…Shancai and Willow might’ve saw and they might ask questions, he didn’t want to see anyone, he wanted to be alone, he wanted to scream and cry…but he couldn’t…he wasn’t in control, his body felt numb, he didn’t want to walk off like that, but he couldn’t stop…

Vinny continued to sob quietly as he itched his hand and rested his face on his knew. He breathing quickened as he held onto his clothes tightly, he couldn’t think properly, couldn’t see properly, and couldn’t move properly. He dug his nails into his skin, hard enough to cause pain and draw blood. His body screamed at him to stop, but his mind didn’t listen.

Though there was the faint sound of knocking which caught Vinnys’ attention, he didn’t want to check who it was…but as there was another knock the longer he sat against the door. His body finally listened and allowed him to stand up, he rubbed his eyes with his sleeve before taking a deep breath and opening the door…Nya…

“Hey…” the water ninja spoke softly as she looked at Vinny worriedly noticing his state.

“H-hey” The cameraman replied quickly as he avoided eye contact with her.

“Did something happen? I-I noticed you walk off when Garmadon spoke to you…” Nya asked, her voice soft and caring as she took note of Vinnys’ puffy eyes.

“N-no…nothing happened…” Vinny answered shakily as he held onto the door tightly and tried holding back tears, he didn’t want to think about it.

“Hey…I don’t expect you tell to me about your attitude change recently, but I want to know about your relationship, because it clearly hurts you the most…you can trust me…” The water ninja spoke in an attempt to comfort him, Vinny stated at the ground, before moving to the side allowing Nya to enter the room, which she did, and the door was closed.

“He…he wants a break…” Vinny managed to confess, as he faced his back to Nya and began itching his hand again.

“O-oh fuck…” the water ninja whispered quietly before putting a comforting hand on his shoulder, “Any reason…?” She hesitantly asked.

“H-he said…we-I need space…” Vinny answered, his voice barely audible as he rubbed his moist eyes, “Don’t cry…” Vinny constantly thought to himself.

“It’s a break right? And he still loves you?” Nya asked softly, the cameraman nodded slightly, “Maybe once whatever is bothering you is over, it’ll go back to normal you’ll both be back together…” she added, as she hugged him.

“I-it was just so s-sudden” Vinny whimpered out as he wrapped his trembling arm around her, returning the hug, “I-I started feeling better…” he added quietly.

“And you will get better, he’ll know when you’re better…he’s just doing what he thinks is right…” Nya spoke softly, her expression was soft and understanding.

“D-did anyone see me walk off?” Vinny quietly asked.

“Lloyd and Master Wu…Wu went to ask Garmadon what happened…” Nya confessed, at least it wasn’t anyone else, as much as he liked Willow and Shancais’ comfort he needed some alone time. “If…Garmadon doesn’t tell them what happened can I?” She asked, as she allowed Vinny out of the hug.

“Yea…” Vinny replied, as he sat on the bed, “Just…don’t tell them about how I reacted” he added, Nya nodded in response.

“You want some alone time?” She asked, receiving a nod, “Hey…we’re all gonna explore later, you wanna come?” She added.

“I’ll…think about it” Vinny answered.

“I’ll come tell you when we’re about to leave…” Nya spoke before going towards the door, “Try to relax…get your mind off it…I’ll tell the others you were tired” she added before opening the door.

“I will…bye…” He answered as he watched her waved goodbye and leave, closing the door. As the door was shut, he instantly laid down on the bed and groaned. Man his life sucked…

Garmadon said he still loved him…that’s all that mattered…they didn’t break up at least…Vinny stretched and stared at the roof, maybe he should go to Deity…she seemed busy, maybe not.

He laid in bed and slept for like an hour before waking up disheveled, puffy eyes, messed up hair and red eyes. Vinny went to the bathroom and splashed his face with warm water, “Go take a walk…” he spoke to himself which he did as he took a drink from his water bottle before leaving the room.

As he walked down the hallways, he noticed Willow and Shancai, he quickly walked by not wanting to talk. Vinny exited the palace now in the garden, he did realise that the carpets had pictures of the places which was useful. “Where are you off to?” A unfamiliar voice spoke which instantly caught his attention as he turned to it, a servant.

“J-just going out for air” Vinny answered awkwardly as he stared at her.

“The pathway leads to a area, quite relaxing” the servant spoke, “There is a dark area you have to pass though” she added.

“Right…” the cameraman answered nervously as he stared at the pathway.

“You should go” the servant spoke, as she rested her arm on Vinnys’ hip.

“I’ll think about it…” Vinny responded as he slid away from her touch, it felt weird, he didn’t like it. He quickly walked off into the garden and sat down on the edge of a fountain. He was tempted to find that area she was talking about.

Vinny looked back, the servant was gone, which was relieving he didn’t really like her. He worked up the courage and began going down that pathway. It was fairly nice large flowers and tall trees, but then it cut off into a darker area…she did say to go through it but he didn’t want to…he didn’t really have to check out the place, and it was blocked by vines.

He turned around ready to leave, but heard a howl. “Fuck…” he muttered to himself as he began to run, but his direction was cut off by a wolf and so was the other pathway. “Just my luck…” Vinny grumbled, before he fumbled for the dagger in his pocket, it wouldn’t do much, but at least he had a weapon.

A wolf lunged forward, Vinny managed to get out of its’ way in time, but it tore away some of the vines that blocked the darker area. As the wolves prepared to attack the cameraman managed to squeeze through a small gap in the vines and quite literally ran. It was a mess and it reeked. He turned around, the wolves were still chasing him.

Vinny continued to run, running into vines and flowers, occasionally tripping over roots, till eventually the wolves were gone. “Fucking hell” Vinny hissed to himself, he was in a forest, was just chased by wolves and has a broken fucking arm. This day just kept getting worse…

The sun was blocked out, by large trees and the place reeked like nothing he’s smelt before. He tried making his way back, but had no ideal it was like he was going in circles. Vinnys’ heart stopped as he heard soft hissing and slithering…please no snakes…

“You must be Rida’sss new plaything…” a feminine voice spoke, it sent chills down his spine, must be a Serpentine…but which one? He tried looking around desperate to find where the voice was coming from, but it echoed and came form every direction.

“I-I don’t know what you mean…” Vinny finally answered, he tried to sound intimidating, but it sounded like he was intimidated. Who knew Rida? Why was he called Rida’s plaything?

“Yessss you do ssssilly” the voice spoke again, this time directly into Vinnys’ ear, he instantly whipped around…there was nothing…

“I-I clearly intruded…I’ll l-leave…” Vinny spoke shakily, he didn’t want problems with whoever the fuck this was.

“No no no no” the voice spoke, this time Vinny felt something wrap around his legs and he looked down at it…a tail…it had a…stinger at the end of it…

“W-who are you…?” Vinny managed to squeak out.

“Rushifa” She spoke as she appeared behind Vinny, placing her hands on his shoulders, “I’m here to make your life worssssse than Enji” she chuckled, Vinny couldn’t speak he felt like his voice was gone, this snake, a dark purple, wearing a veil, contrasting between anacondrai and hypnobrai colour pattern, she seemed to be wearing some sort of…crown..made of bones…?

“W-what?” Vinny managed to stutter out, before he felt her tail warp around him, squeezing him tightly.

“Y’know…Rida told me not to kill you” Rushifa spoke, Vinny felt a little relieved, “But I don’t take ordersss from Rida” she added, before a bunch of smaller snakes climbed onto him.

Great, he was gonna die, first thing that popped into his mind.

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 57

As Vinny got up from his bed, he reached for the dagger on the bedside table, he cursed to himself realising he left it in the bathroom.

It was too early for this, but he got a decent sleep at night. As he went over to the mirror he noticed the window was slightly open…when did that happen? Never mind, maybe that’s what pushed the jacket onto his bed.

He rubbed his temples as he groaned to himself, as sat back on the edge of the bed about to lay down…the air thickened in the room as his heart quickened.

“Morning buddy~” a familiar voice whispered into the cameramans’ ear as a head rested on his shoulder. Vinny cursed to himself once more as he reluctantly turned his head around

Enji…just what he needed, must’ve jinxed himself before. Except Vinny was a little surprised to see the menace not wearing his normal attire and certainly didn’t look the same.

He looked just as tired as Vinny, droopy eyes, wearing a dark grey compression shirt and loose black shorts. His hair was out, some of it draping over his shoulder.

“What do you want?” The cameraman spoke, malice evident in his voice.

“What do I want?” Enji replied, chuckling softly, “Must I have a want? Can’t I pay a visit? After all I didn’t see you yesterday” he continued as he leaned back onto the bed, resting against the backboard.

Vinny rolled his eyes and grumbled in annoyance as the menace relaxed. “Get your feet off” he spoke, it sounded more like a request than an order. He was still scared of Enji after all.

“Nope” Enji teased, “Now then…what’s with covering the mirrors?” He asked the cameraman causing his breathe to hitch.

“I just don’t like mirrors…” Vinny replied plainly, it was partially the truth. “Now answer my question…why are you here? You clearly didn’t plan for this based on how you look” he added as he stood up from the bed, distancing himself from the menace.

Enji rolled his eyes and chuckled, “I was planning on do this tomorrow, buuuuut Rida wanted to be extra safe so I’m doing it now”

“That answers on thing” The cameraman sighed as he looked in the dresser mirror. “And what do you need to be extra safe of?” He questioned once more.

“A few things…and as for the reason I’m here…” Enji spoke, Vinny shivered and looked at the ground as he was hit by something cold, not quite wind though…he looked back at the mirror, his heart aching. “I need a favour….” He continued as he was now in the mirror, those eyes staring directly into the cameramans’.

Vinny hardly processed what was said to him as he was caught off guard by Enji going into the mirror, “A-a favour?” He managed to stutter out as his mind finally processed the words.

“Yep~! Nothing too big” Enji replied with a devilish smile as his hand reached from in the mirror and he grabbed Vinnys’ cheeks harshly. The cameraman sucked his teeth, but kept his mouth shut. Anything could piss off Enji, and he clearly wanted to get over and done with this quickly.

“What is it…?” Vinny grumbled, he wanted to get rid of Enji so badly, but he needed to know what the favour is.

“You need to help me get that key~!” Enji replied as he released Vinnys’ cheeks.

“The key…? Y-you can’t actually believe I’ll help you get it?” The cameraman replied as he stroked a hand through his hand and put his other hand on his hip.

“I don’t need to believe…because you’re helping me whether you like it or not” Enji threatened as he climbed out of the mirror and sat on the mirror stand.

“C-can’t you get it yourself? You’ve managed to sneak in here multiple times!” Vinny replied, anxiety creeping up his back.

“If it was that simple I would’ve done so already!” Enji hissed before taking a deep breath, “Now all you need to do is get me down to that god forsaken place…that stupid elevator has some recognition thing and my illusions aren’t working” he sighed, annoyance evident on his face,

Vinny rolled his eyes, “What if I don’t?” He asked, wanting to see how far he could push this.

The menace grumbled, “If you don’t fucking listen then I’ll take your friends one by one and gouge their eyes while you watch” he threatened, he really wanted to get this over and done with.

Vinnys’ breathe hitched as his hands trembled, he clenched his fists and took a deep breathe, “Can’t you…just make a copy of the key…?” He asked hesitantly.

“That key is special, because it’s magical now hurry up before someone wakes up” Enji replied impatiently, he was more pushy than usual.

“Anything’s better than him hurting them” the cameraman thought before he reluctantly nodded to Enji.

Enji gave him a sinister smile before jumping off the mirror stand, “Lead the way my friend” he teased as he bowed down.

Vinny grumbled to himself, “Wait…I need to get something…” he spoke as he went to the bathroom and came back with the dagger.

“I see you enjoy the dagger” Enji spoke, but the cameraman ignored and walked out of the room, he was followed by the other man who closed the door behind him.

Garmadon got up, "Thank you brother" he said as he stretched. "I'm always here to listen to you brother, try not to overthink about Vinny too much" Wu replied as his brother left. The oni walked around wondering what to do mainly due to the fact Vinny wanted some space. "Maybe I can find Lloyd" Garmadon thought as he began looking for his son.

(With Nya and Vinny) "Soooo..?" Nya said, "Sooo....?"a confused Vinny replied. The water ninja let out a sigh, "How was it?" Nya asked hearing this made Vinny blush as he remembered more about the events last night with Garmadon. "Well it was good..." the cameraman said embarrassingly to Nya making her burst out laughing. "Not gonna lie...I can see why he gets along with you though" the water ninja said, "Hmm? You can? And why is that?" Vinny asked as he took a sip of the chamomile tea she made for his lost voice.

"You're a really nice guy and from what I see you get along with everyone...hey I'm wondering how did any of your friends react to finding out Garmadon was your roommate?" Nya asked curiously as she scrolled through her phones texting Jay about their date tomorrow. "Friends? Oh no I honestly don't really hang out with people that I don't have someone I'm connected to" Vinny chuckled out, hearing this the water ninja stared at him, "That...is the most unbelievable thing I've heard how can you not have any friends?" Nya asked dumbfounded, "I-I never said I didn't have friends" the cameraman said trying to make himself not seem like a loner. "Do you have friends?" Nya asked, "Not really" Vinny said as realisation hit him, "Damn! I really am a loner!" the cameraman yelled out, "SHHH not yelling, you're gonna strain your voice more" Nya said "And you just made my point" she added.

Vinny smiled awkwardly, "But when some of the people at my work place found out they were weirded out and said...things..." Vinny said his voice becoming quieter. Hearing this made Nya feel really bad, "Well forget them! They don't know the first thing about you or Garmadon!" Nya said out trying to comfort Vinny. "And honestly when I was a kid me and my brother didn't have much friends most of the kids found it weird we didn't have parents, but...I'm happy now that I know they're safe and they left to protect us" Nya said, Vinny smiled, "Honestly I guess the closest I've had to a friend is Gayle and I barely get along with her" the cameraman said.

"So did they just find you weird when they found out Garmadon was living with you" Nya asked she was a little more hesitant with the questions not wanting to get into anything to personal. "Not really...most of them found me weird to begin with but when they found about Garmadon I guess it just proved them right" Vinny responded. "Hah! Well sucks to be them your boyfriend is now Garmadon, I bet if he found about them talking shit about you he would kill them, so don't you dare listen to them they're idiots you're anything but weird" Nya said, "Yea...I guess Garm would do that for me...but I haven't told him about any of this and I don't plan to, I don't want him thinking he's the reason I'm thought to be weird or anything he usually takes things the wrong way and thinks I'm angry or upset at him..." Vinny said as he drank more tea.

"Well then if you won't tell him you're always free to talk to me about any problems, I know what it's like to be thought to be different, when I first became a ninja everyone thought it was weird and that I was weird but I ignored them and kept pushing and just like you I got together with the love of my life, Jay." Nya said hearing this made the cameraman feel way better, "Yea I guess..." Vinny said, Nya let out a sigh, "Well that's enough sad talk how about I go get Garmadon for you, you look like you want him" the water ninja chuckled out earning a nod from Vinny.

Nya left the room leaving Vinny alone with his thoughts.

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)part 22

(hshuihsaxsah here's another part even though I uploaded two parts yesterday but I need to feed you my stars)

The two began eating their pancakes and honestly they were both starving due to last nights events*cough cough*. Vinny surprisingly finished eating first. "That was delicious" Vinny said out as he melted in Garmadons' arms. He could barely keep himself up and had no strength. Seeing this the oni let out a soft chuckle before kissing his lovers' forehead earning a soft giggle from him.

"I feel like absolute shit right now" Vinny said as he rested his head on Garmadons' chest as he ate. "Sorry...too much last night..."The oni said feeling guilty again. "No...it's not your fault it felt amazing of course it's gonna have some consequences" Vinny said as he rolled over and face planted into the bed. Garmadon smiled before continuing to eat and after 5 more minutes he finished eating. "Well I'm done...why don't we put that cream on you?" The oni asked as he read the tube. "Yea I guess...anything to make me feel somewhat better" Vinny said as he took of his shirt and pants, don't worry he's wearing boxers underneath he isn't butt naked.

"So do I just put it on you? Like a normal cream?" Garmadon asked staring at Vinny curiously, "Yea then just rub it in...but can you be a little gentle my body hurts" The smaller replied as he lied down on the bed. "Of course I don't want to hurt you" Garmadon responded and he put a blob of cream on his hand, the oni began carefully massaging the cream onto Vinnys' upper torso being mindful of his lovers' sore body. Vinny flinched when Garmadons' hands made contact with his body it just caught him off guard, but the oni still apologised for doing literally nothing.

"You okay?" Garmadon asked as he continued applying the cream, Vinny held up a thumbs up he was honestly really comfortable at the moment. Eventually the oni finished with the upper torso so now it was for his legs which were way more sensitive. "I'm going to start on your legs now" the oni said earning another thumbs up from Vinny. Garmadon began with the legs carefully putting the cream on him not wanting to hurt him, but Vinnys' legs hurt way more than his upper torso so he flinched and hid his face in a pillow trying to ignore the pain(our precious baby😢) Garmadon instantly stopped when he could tell the pain was a bit too much, but he whispered comforting things into Vinnys' ear as he continued more carefully.

Eventually after about 20minutes of this they finally finished and yes it did take him that long to finish. "I'm done...are you feeling alright?" Garmadon asked worriedly, "Y-yea.." Vinny replied as he rolled onto his back, "Thanks" the smaller added. There was an awkward silence that went on for 4minutes. "Nya might come to talk to me soon.....you should go hang out with your brother or son" Vinny said as he broke the awkward silence between them. "Are you s-" Garmadon was cut off, "Yes I am..." Vinny said cutting Garmadon off. The oni nodded, "Let me...stay here for a little longer...I don't want to leave you just yet..." Garmadon said as he nuzzled Vinnys' neck making him chuckle out before he put on his pants.

After 10 minutes Nya came in, "Sorry am I interrupting something I can come back later" Nya said as she realised the two snuggling against each other. "Hmm? No I was going to leave soon" Garmadon said as he kissed Vinnys' forehead and said goodbye then left. "Did something happen between you two?" The water ninja asked worriedly as she closed the door. "What? No why would you think that? I just told him to go talk to his brother he looks like he needs to talk to someone other than me" Vinny said as he put on his shirt. "You did? He might take it that you're angry at him and need a little space" Nya said as before sitting on the bed.

Vinny stared at her, "I mean...I know he can take things the wrong way...but I doubt he would be thinking I'm mad at him..." Vinny said worriedly. "Maybe but Jay used to think I was angry when I told him to talk to someone else" Nya said earning a nod form Vinny, "I'll tell him when he comes back" he said, "Good...now how you doing?" Nya asked wanting to know everything....not the actual sex bit or little details or any weird details at all they're just gossip buddies now.

Overwhelmed (Vinny x Garmadon)part 54

As the ninja made it to their location they stared at the entrance. “That shit looks creepy…” Kai spoke as he created fire in his hand lighting up the cave.

“We’re getting lost…” Jay added as he took a sword from Nya, the group all nodded in response with what he said. They all entered the cave and began searching for this strange energy source. Zane had a sensor to track the energy source.

“Not necessarily…I’ll trace our exact steps and turns” The ice ninja spoke as they walked into the caves. The group let out a sigh of relief hearing that as they followed Kai who was leading the way with fire.

After a while of walking Jay yelled causing the group to instantly prepare their elements as the lightning ninja hid behind his beloved water ninja. “What is it!?” Nya asked, Jay pointed to a wall, there was a skull lodged in it.

“Fucking hell Jay! You trying to give us a heart attack!?” Kai asked annoyingly as he and the group groaned in annoyance due to the overreaction.

“We’ll excuse me for being in a creepy tunnel and seeing a skull!” The lightning ninja replied.

“Enough you two…let’s keep going…I wanna get out of here as quick as possible…” Lloyd spoke as he pushed Kai to keep walking, which he did.

After a while later of following Zane, the tunnels opened up to a massive cavern, ledges and other tunnels surrounded the walls and roof of the cavern.

“What we’re looking for better be in here…I don’t wanna go in those…” Cole spoke as he pointed to the other tunnels.

Zane looked over the place, “It should be…the energy signal is strongest here though I can’t find the exact signal” the ice ninja spoke, earning a sigh of relief from the group.

“Should we just search around here for a while?” Nya asked, the group nodded as they split up and began lifting rocks, searching small holes and checking out the ledges, with the help of Cole, who controlled the rocks to help them up.

There was a crash, and the group all darted their attention to a high ledge, there was man…he seemed to have accidentally pushed a rock. “Whoopsie!” The man spoke in a playful tone. Seeing the man the group instantly rejoined each other, staying close together.

“Who are you!?” Lloyd shouted as he pulled his sword out.

“Wow! That’s not how you greet someone!” The man spoke as he climbed up to another ledge. Lloyd rolled his eyes hearing that and Cole formed rocks beneath the group, lifting them up to the same height as the man.

The man chuckled as this happened before he disappeared and reappeared right behind the group. Jay jumped and hid behind Nya again. “You’re a jumpy one…say! You wouldn’t be looking for someone?” The man spoke.

“In fact we are!” Kai responded as he stood in front of the group, distancing them from the man.

“Ohhh…in that case…we can’t be friends!” The man chuckled as he grabbed a dagger from his waist belt seemingly getting ready to fight.

The man grappled to another ledge this time beginning to break rocks. Just as the group was about to follow they were attacked…by clones? Identical copies of the man occupied the group as he broke the rocks.

They fought back, every time they ‘killed’ one it would disappear into dust. “Y’know you all seem like a lively bunch…buuuut I enjoy messing with you and I have a mission to do!” The man spoke in a cheerful tone.

Zane managed to make it up to the man and held out his sword. The man sighed, “Really? Gotta make everything hard for me? I know I’m gonna get away…” the man paused and grabbed a small chest that had jewels and seemed to be locked pretty well. “With this either way” he spoke.

Zane scanned the box, it was the energy signal, and it seemed even stronger now that it was out. The ice ninja tried knocking the chest out of the man’s hand but failed instead he dodged and pushed Zane, but instead of letting him fall he held onto his hand. “C’mon! Give me a real fight!” The man asked.

“Zane! Just keep him occupied!” Lloyd called out from below as he continued destroying the clones.

“Keep me occupied? No no no…I told you I want a real fight!” The man spoke sadistically as he jumped down, after he pushed Zane. The ice ninja managed to land without any injuries.

“Now then! Let’s play…” he spoke as he lunged towards Cole, slashing his arm with a plain dagger. The earth ninja hissed in pain and Kai instantly came closer to him and held his arm. “Nice arms~? I wonder how they are in bed~” he spoke in a low voice as he attacked Nya.

The water ninja reacted quickly instantly splashing the man with water. “Fuck that’s gross!” Nya spoke clearly disgusted at the implications of what the man said to Cole. “No one flirts with my brothers’ boyfriend!” She added, Kai and Cole blushed slightly, not knowing to be thankful or embarrassed.

“Goddamnit! I just cleaned this!” The man groaned before he got onto another ledge, Jay following after. “Y’know! I would really love to stay and play! But this thing is really important and if I lose it, I’m gonna get my ass handed to me!” He added as he spun the chest on his finger.

The man grabbed the grappling hook from his waist belt, as this happened Jay lunged forward only to be kicked down by the guy. He was thankfully caught by Nya.

“I’ll be seeing you!” The man called before the hooked the grappling hook and was lifted up to a high ledge, he disappeared into a high tunnel.

“Who the fuck was that…?” Kai asked.

“I have no idea…but he’s definitely gonna be a problem…” Lloyd replied.

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 91

Vinny let out a sigh as he walked down the halls, he didn’t know exactly where Deity could be, but he assumed she was in her room as usual. The cameraman figured he should tell her about Rida at least, she was already kept in the dark a little about Enji, he also figured he should tell her about Wu and Jay finding out about all this.

He began humming to himself, it was subconscious and he was a little happy at stabbing Rida. Vinny knew there was something off about him, he was too kind and in what place is the kingdoms’ energy something that should’ve been his. It annoyed the cameraman and he began thinking, maybe Enji isn’t as bad as he thought.

Well Enji wasn’t that bad to Shancai, he clearly cared about this prince and as Rida said, Enji often kept secrets about this which was kind of sweet.

The cameraman was snapped out of his thoughts, he felt like he was being followed. He couldn’t get a break, could he? Vinny subconsciously slipped his hand in his pocket, resting it on the dagger, prepared to defend himself in case.

The cameraman acted clueless as to whoever was followed him, so when he turned a corner he stayed there for a moment waiting for the person following him to come by. When the person came by Vinny immediately slammed them against the wall, slicing their cheek slightly, earning a soft wince.

It was a thing he did, he would just cause a little cut to someone as a warning. The cameramans’ eyes widened in shock as he let out a small squeak when he saw the person…Garmadon…

“F-fuck! I am so sorry” Vinny instantly apologised as he put the dagger back in his pocket and looked at the oni with worry.

“It’s fine, it’ll heal easily” Garmadon answered as he rubbed away the purple liquid that dripped down his cheek.

“I didn’t mean to, I just felt like someone was following me and I didn’t realise it was him” the cameraman spoke, it was clear he was feeling guilty.

“I’m fine I swear” the oni sighed out, trying to soothe Vinnys’ worries. “Where are you off too?” He asked, trying to change the subject.

“I’m gonna hang out with Deity for a while if she lets I have somethings to ask her” the cameraman answered as he looked at the ground. There was a silence for a few seconds, “Wait why were you following me?” He suddenly spoke up, feeling very confused as he cocked his head.

“I uh…” Garmadon didn’t have an answer for that question as he tried making an excuse. “Why not?” He answered awkwardly.

“Seriously?” Vinny sighed out as he rubbed his temples.

“Just wanted to check on you” the oni spoke, causing the cameramans’ expression to soften as he felt a hand rest on his cheek. “Are you doing well?”

“Yea…Shancai’s teaching me how to fight” Vinny answered with a smile as he subconsciously leaned into Garmadons’ touch.

“I know…” the oni accidentally spoke, causing the cameraman to look at him in confusion. “I may have seen some…and that’s partly why I’m following you…” he reluctantly confessed.

Vinnys’ body tensed, what did Garmadon see? Did he see him hurt Shancai? That’s not good… “I-I uhh, what’s you see?” The cameraman nervously asked as he rubbed the back of his neck. The onis’ expression softened noticing Vinny tense up.

“You should know…” Garmadon sighed out as he watched the cameraman.

“Hah, you saw that?” Vinny asked worriedly, receiving a nod from the oni, “I can explain it…?” He added, he didn’t know how he could explain it without exposing some stuff so maybe he could go with the hallucination method.

“You were hallucinating right?” Garmadon asked, “You two spoke loudly, I heard some stuff” he confessed.

“Y-yea?” The cameraman awkwardly answered, well at least he didn’t need to explain himself.

“Have you been resting well?” The oni asked worriedly as he held Vinnys’ hands.

“Not really i guess…” the cameraman answered, that was lie, he’s had amazing sleep here, the kingdom felt safe. But sleep deprivation was a good excuse for hallucinations.

“Is something on your mind?” Garmadon asked, knowing fully well he wasn’t gonna get a proper answer, but it was worth a shot.

“No…” Vinny sighed out as he looked away, shoving his hands in his pockets.

“You need to rest if you’re hallucinating, I’m not pressing on about anything else, but you need rest” Garmadon spoke as he turned the cameramans’ face towards him.

“I know I know…I can take care of myself…” Vinny grumbled as he pulled away, he wasn’t going to be lectured like a child and especially since he was lying. “I gotta go now…sorry about your cheek…” he muttered as he began walking off.

The oni had other plans as he suddenly grabbed the cameramans’ arms and pushed him against the wall, earning a small yelp from Vinny before he was silenced by their lips crashing against each other. The cameraman was surprised, but happily kissed back. Garmadon was very obviously trying to ease his worries with this.

The two parted, before the oni let go of Vinny and walked off, “You looked good training…take care of yourself…” Garmadon spoke as he disappeared into the halls. The cameraman was left there standing, his cheeks bright red and slightly dazed. He hadn’t expected to be kissed again so soon, maybe Garmadon was trying to comfort him…

Vinny took a deep breath and recovered from the embarrassment, he had to go to Deity, stop getting distracted and no more scarring others. He continued his walk down the halls, before he reached Deitys’ room. The cameraman gently nodded and stood there for a moment, “Come in!” A familiar voice called out.

Vinny happily opened the door, feeling giddy from the kiss. He looked at the ground and saw Deity sitting there per usual reading a scroll. “Hello dear” she spoke with a smile as he patted the floor next to her, signalling him to sit down, which he did.

“Hey” Vinny spoke as he looked at the scroll, “Still haven’t found what you’re looking for?” He chuckled out softly.

“Sadly no…perhaps Rida doesn’t know either and is just keeping the power…” Deity answered as she rubbed her forehead.

“I doubt it…he came to me while I was in my room…” the cameraman confessed, causing Deity to look at him with concern.

“Are you alright? Did he hurt you?” She asked worriedly as she began scanning his body for any wounds.

“No no, I’m fine I swear…he was the one that got hurt not me” Vinny answered with a soft smile, as he gently held her hands reassuringly.

“How so?” She asked in curiously and surprise.

“He said some stuff, threatened the kingdom and well everyone…I may have stabbed his shoulder” the cameraman confessed, he felt a little smug that he managed to hurt Rida, and it made him feel better.

“That’s funny” Deity chuckled, “What did he want from you?”

“Not sure…when I first met him I sort of trusted him, not a lot though I think he wanted to check and see if I still trust him…and he had his answer” Vinny answered as he leaned back. “He also really doesn’t like you”

“Ah yes…I’m well aware…” Deity sighed out, her voice slightly pained. The cameraman realised this and his expression softened.

“He’s an asshole, I doubt he likes anyone” Vinny added in an attempt of comfort.

“I suppose that’s true…” Deity whispered, “Is there any reason you’re here? I thought you were training with Shancai?”

“Yea…he had patrol or something, and plus I haven’t talked to you much today, I thought I spoke to you before, but I realised it was Enji disguising himself…” Vinny sighed out, he had clearly forgotten to mention that part.

“Enji was here as well?” Deity asked, receiving a nod, “What did he need?”

“He got this photo book thingy, also Jay and Wu know about this whole situation, because Jay saw me and Enji talking, but don’t worry only they know” Vinny spoke.

“What an eventful day” Deity chuckled.

“Yea…also I have something to ask you” The cameraman spoke as he reached into his pocket reaching for the photo, Deity watched with interest. “This, it fell from the photo book Enji had, do you know anything about it?” He asked as he gave her the photo.

Oh she definitely knew something as her eyes widened and she stared at the two kids in it. “One’s Shancai right? And the other’s?” Vinny asked.

“Enji…” Deity confessed quietly as he stared at the photo. So Vinny was right…well guess he had an explanation to listen for…

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 67

(With Garmadon, this is after Deity and Vinny spoke)

Garmadon couldn’t get Vinny out of his mind, his concern just etched itself into his mind. He laid on his bed thoughts plaguing his mind as this whole situation grew more bizarre by the day.

Maybe he just needed some fresh air…and that’s what he did. He got up from the bed and left the room, closing the door behind him. The halls were fairly quiet, other than the few occasional chatters of the servants, discussing their guests.

The oni walked down the long hallways, strangely he didn’t receive any weird looks. Back in Ninjago people would stare at Garmadon with fear and disgust…here though, they seemed used to it…it did made sense, Deity, Shancai and Willow had unique appearances not that they were bad.

As he strolled down, he was trying to find his way back to that garden from before, but it was difficult the halls led in all sorts of directions, not that he minded it was nice exploring more of the palace.

He paused as he saw Deity walking by herself down the halls, “Should I approach her…?” He thought to himself, but before he could decide on anything she noticed him and gave him a soft smile before walking over. It was weird…seeing someone taller than him…

“Hello dear, are you looking for something?” Deity spoke softly, Garmadon shook his head, “Ah, so just wandering?” She added, receiving a nod from the oni.

“Just needed some air…I was trying to find the garden” Garmadon spoke.

“Walk with me” She spoke as she began walking, the oni nodded and followed after her, he didn’t know if he should trust her, but she seemed kind so far.

“How are you and your friends faring here?” She asked.

“Well from who I’ve seen” Garmadon spoke, “Mostly surprised by this place” he added, causing Deity to chuckle.

“The kingdom is a bit exotic” She answered, receiving a nod from the oni, “Say, I have a bit of a question…my daughter brought it up before and I was just curious” she added.

“Go ahead” Garmadon replied, he was curious as to what was brought up.

“You and…Vinny, are you close?” She asked.

“I…I thought so…but now…I don’t really know…” He confessed, his voice becoming quieter as he looked at the ground.

“Oh…did you two have something going on?” She questioned, there was hesitation in her voice clearly not wanting to overstep boundaries.

“Yea…” Garmadon sighed, he didn’t know why, but he trusted Deity…everything about her was comforting, “We’re dating…” he reluctantly added.

“Willow was right” She chuckled, receiving a confused look from the oni, “She told me that she thought there was something going on between you two, guess she was right” she added, clarifying it more.

“Is it obvious?” Garmadon questioned.

“A little…but she’s good a spotting things out like that…I spoke to Vinny not long ago” She replied.

“Is he alright…? His arm?” The oni questioned, concern etched on his face.

“His arm’s broken, but I put it in a cast and now he’s sleeping…we spoke for a while” Deity replied, Garmadon let out a shaky sigh of relief, at least Vinnys’ arm was cared for and he was resting.

“Did he eat?” The oni questioned.

“Yes, gave him food while I checked his arm” She answered, this really comforted Garmadon, knowing Vinny was being taken care of.

“Thank you…for taking care of him…he hasn’t been well lately…” Garmadon spoke as they continued walking.

“It’s no problem dear, I noticed he wasn’t well…I’ll make sure to take care of him for you and Willow and Shancai are making sure he’s well as well” Deity answered.

“Is…there any reason for how he’s acting?” Garmadon questioned, he desperately wanted to know what was happening to Vinny.

“I am unsure at the moment…” she lied, “But I’ll tell you if I find out” She added, this was also a lie. She would only tell if Vinny let her.

“Am I…doing something wrong…? At first I didn’t think much of his attitude change…but then he had a stab wound on his hand…he was physically and mentally drained…” Garmadon began speaking as they exited the palace and into the garden.

Deity’s expression softened, “I understand your concern…I’ve seen my fair share of lies in my kids…though I also understand the pain of love…scared of everything that could happen to them…” she spoke softly, “And I’ll speak to you not from my mother side…but the part of me that was the wife to someone long ago…” She added.

“I…” Was all Garmadon could say, no one’s really opened up to him before other than Vinny.

“Seeing someone you love suffer silently is terrible…the best you could do is make sure they don’t die…” Deity spoke softly as she stared out from the staircase onto the garden and saw Willow there laying in the grass.

“Your husband…you lost him?” Garmadon asked hesitantly.

“I…I don’t even know, he just disappeared he’d show up with bruises and one day I went in our room…it was a mess…the window was open and everything had been thrown around…that was 7 months after our kids were born…” she sighed.

“I’m sorry for that…” Garmadon spoke.

“You and Vinny are alike in many ways…” Deity chuckled, Garmadon stared at her curiously, “One day you’ll understand…if you wish to talk you know where to find me” she added before walking back inside the palace leaving Garmadon outside.

The oni stared out into the sky, the Sun retreating beneath it’s covers while the moon slowly awakened, he turned his attention to Willow who was still laying in the grass, looking quite peaceful.

He looked back up at the sky and sighed the wind hitting against his face was comforting…make sure they don’t die…those words rung through Garmadons’ ears, it was smart…Vinny clearly wasn’t going to say anything anytime soon.

The oni rested his head against the railing, hunching his back as he stroked a hand through his hair and groaned, why does everything just get worse…? What was he meant to do? They have a new villain and potential allies here and whatever seemed to be happening was dangerous.

Everyone seemed concerned about Vinny and could you blame them? His mental and physical health declined in the span of like a week, “this idiot…I love him…” Garmadon thought to himself.

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 81

The walk back to the palace was just as quiet as to the markets, Vinny tried to ignore the stinging from the cut on his arm while Shancai showed no emotion. “Hey…can I ask you something?” The cameraman eventually spoke up, breaking the silence.

“Go ahead” The prince answered as they continued to walk along the path.

“It’s about you and Enji…” Vinny confessed, “He acts…different around you, I’ve seen how he acts with Rida and last time when he attacked my friends, he flirted with Cole once from what I was told, but with you he’s more persistent” the cameraman continued, causing Shancai to let out a shaky sigh as his spear disappeared.

“I’ve known Enji for years, longer than Rida, he tends to be more playful with me to mess with me” The prince answered, there was slight truth in his words.

“When did you two meet?” Vinny hesitantly asked.

“I was 10” The prince answered.

“How old are you now?” The cameraman questioned once more.

“Me and Willow turned 25 four months ago” Shancai replied, as they walked out the stairs of the palace.

“Wait, you just turned 25?” Vinny asked surprisingly as they entered the palace, he received a nod from the prince. “Geez! I’m older! I turn 26 in three months!” He added.

“You’re 26?” Shancai asked, “I thought you were younger” the prince added, causing Vinny to laugh out.

“I wish!” The cameraman laughed, before the silence returned. The silence didn’t matter as they exited through a different door into the training area, Vinny seemed confused, but it was short-lived as Shancai pulled out this small box, a first aid box.

The prince signalled for Vinny to sit down on the wooden platform which was elevated from the training grounds. The cameraman sat down and watched Shancai sit next to him. “Tell me if I hurt you” the prince spoke, as he began undoing the makeshift bandage around Vinnys’ cut arm.

The cameraman held back a wince of pain as the fabric was pulled away from his bloody arm. He hesitantly stared at the cut and grimaced at the sight, it was a clean cut, he’ll give Enji that, he had good ass aim. “Is it…bad?” Vinny spoke up, as he noticed the prince staring at the cut, his expression unreadable.

“It won’t need stitches” Shancai answered, causing the cameraman to let out a soft sigh of relief, he still had the stitches on his hand, he should ask the prince about it later. “It’s not far off from a normal cut from a kitchen knife and it didn’t cut a muscle or vein, a normal bandage is fine” the prince added as he grabbed a few things from the first aid kit.

“It’ll heal fine?” Vinny questioned.

“Might leave a small mark, I’m gonna wrap it up, and you can go shower, I’ll wrap it again after” Shancai answered, receiving a soft nod from the cameraman.

The prince disinfected he wound, causing Vinny to jerk away and hiss in pain, “My apologise” The prince spoke, as he grew more cautious.

“I-it’s fine” The cameraman answered, as he smiled at Shancai softly. It didn’t take long for the wound to be bandaged and the prince and Vinny both went to have a shower.

“I’ll come get you after I finish” Shancai spoke, as they went to their rooms, and Vinny nodded before entering his room and locking the door.

What a interesting day…the cameraman looked a little surprised as he noticed all his old dirty clothes, folded neatly, and seemingly as if they were never cut or torn, he also noticed that they seemed to be there since yesterday, he really needed to start paying attention.

Vinny entered the bathroom and stripped of his clothing, he threw the makeshift cloak from Shancai on the bed before with the dagger. Man he needed to be careful, he had a broken arm and now a cut on the other arm.

The world was just out for him. The shower was quick though, nothing different, it felt like a normal shower, unlike the previous days when it felt heavenly. He occasionally let out a wince as the wound stung more. But he quickly finished up and got into white tank top and loose blue shorts before dropping on the bed.

Vinny laid there for a while, he wondered what was taking Shancai so long, then again, he did have long ass hair, so Vinny couldn’t really rush the prince. He was snapped out of his thoughts as there was a knock at the door.

The cameraman quickly got up and opened the door. Just as he thought it was Shancai. The prince was wearing his silk emerald green pajamas as of last time. “My apologies for taking so long” The prince apologised.

“Nah it’s fine” Vinny answered with a soft smile as he followed Shancai back out to the training ground. The two both sat back down, and the cameraman allowed the prince to undo the cover of the wound. It was cleaner and bleeding significantly less than before. But it still hurt so Vinny bit the inside of his cheek to hold back a wince.

There was the silence again, other than their soft breathing, crickets chirping and the wind howling, it was somewhat late at night. “Do you…ever wish you could fight?” The prince spoke up, snapping Vinny out of his thoughts.

“I guess…” the cameraman answered, “I wish I could protect myself, protect my friends…” he confessed as he watched Shancai let go of his now bandaged arm. The bandage was revealed by the tank top, but Vinny would be sure to cover it around others.

“Then you and I are alike…I taught myself how to fight to protect myself, my family and my kingdom” the prince confessed as they both stared at the training course.

“You taught yourself?” Vinny asked, receiving a soft nod from the prince. “It was worth it, you’re amazing…” he added, causing Shancais’ expression to softened as he seemed surprised by the compliment.

“You have potential…” the prince spoke, “You have a desire to watch the ones who hurt you suffer…” he added reluctantly, causing Vinnys’ eyes to widen and his breath hitch.

“I…I do, I’ll admit it…” The cameraman confessed as he looked away.

“Don’t be ashamed of it” Shancai spoke comfortingly, “Everyone wishes the same, I do as well, it’s natural for all” he added.

“Hey…” Vinny began, catching the princes’ attention, “Would it be alright, if you were to…train me of some sorts?” He continued.

“That was what I was insisting” Shancai spoke.

“I know” The cameraman chuckled as he smiled softly, “But that wasn’t a yes” he teased.

“Very well” the prince sighed, as he rolled his eyes playfully.

“It doesn’t have to be anything too much, just basic stuff” Vinny added.

“Nonsense” Shancai answered, “I am mentoring you so I’m teaching you everything I know” the prince continued, as he stood up, which Vinny did the same.

“Sure thing, if you expect me to do backflips and stuff, I’ll sadly shut that down” The cameraman laughed out, as they entered the palace again.

“Whatever you say” Shancai answered.

“How’s your stomach? Enji kicked quite hard” Vinny questioned.

“Should be fine” the prince answered quickly.

“Sure thing” The cameraman answered, “Where’s the kitchen?” He asked, Shancai cocked his head to the side, before pointing to a direction. Vinny smiled smugly before grabbing the princes’ hand and beginning to drag him that direction.

“What are you doing?” Shancai questioned curiously.

“We’re getting you and ice pack” The cameraman answered, causing the prince to sigh.

“I don’t need one” Shancai spoke, only to be ignored by Vinny as they continued to walk that way. As they made it to the kitchen the cameraman shoved the prince down on chair.

“Unbutton your shirt or something, I need to put this on” The cameraman spoke, in a tone that could not be argued, as Shancai unbuttoned and took off his shirt, placing it to the side. Vinny grabbed an ice pack from the freezer and a paper towel before wrapping the ice pack in it.

The cameraman sat on a chair next to the prince and pressed the wrapped ice pack against it. “Fucking hell…it’s bruising already, at least you had your armour on” Vinny spoke, as he stared at the swelling abdomen.

“Now think if he hit you” Shancai spoke, trying to make the cameraman feel less guilty about this, “You weren’t wearing armour plus you’re smaller than me, meaning it would’ve hurt you way more than me” the prince added.

“Ok ok geez I get it” Vinny chuckled as he jokingly rolled his eyes. The awkward silence was there again, as the cameraman kept the ice pack pressed against the princes’ abdomen.

“I can hold it myself” Shancai spoke up, breaking the tension.

“I know…but this makes me feel less guilty about you getting hurt” Vinny answered, receiving a understanding hum from the prince.

“We can…both agree not to tell anyone about this, right?” Shancai questioned as he looked at the cameraman.

“Oh definitely” Vinny instantly answered, “Last thing I need, is everyone even more worried about me…” he sighed out.

“Agreed…my mother would over worry about me, she dislikes me going out late on patrols” The prince confessed.

“To be honest you do go out late” Vinny answered, “Does she care when Willow goes out?” He asked.

“Yes, but Willow stays in the forest most of the time, my mother is used to her being absent, but she makes sure Willow checks in with her before she rests” Shancai answered.

“That’s nice…” The cameraman spoke.

“Speaking of Willow, she needs to go back to the forest tomorrow, she can’t leave it unguarded for so long and with Rushifa growing braver with her attempts, the forest needs someone more familiar with what it contains other than a few soldiers” Shancai answered.

“That’s a shame…she’ll say bye at least?” Vinny asked, receiving a soft nod from the prince, the silence came back as time flew by, twenty minutes had gone by and the cameraman removed the ice pack from the princes’ abdomen. “Should we bandage that up or something?” He asked.

“Yes, there should be some bandages up there” Shancai answered, as he pointed up at a cupboard. Vinny nodded and went to the cupboard, opening it and finding a box.

“This it?” The cameraman asked as he showed the box, receiving a nod from the prince. Vinny came back and sat down, opening the box. Shancai reached for the bandages, but the cameraman gently knocked his hand away. “I’m doing it” he spoke.

“Very well” The prince answered, slightly amused by Vinnys’ attitude. The cameraman unrolled the bandage roll slightly before watching as Shancai sat up, getting his back off the chair, allowing the cameraman to have clearer access to the whole abdomen.

Vinny began carefully wrapping it around the princes’ body, he still couldn’t get over how nice the vitiligo and body patterns were. “Geez you’re jacked” The cameraman chuckled softly, it wasn’t a joke Shancai did have muscles, made sense, he was pretty strong and clearly trained a lot.

“Thank you” The prince answered, he seemed surprised by the constant compliments from the cameraman. As Vinny finished wrapping the bandage around the princes’ body, he sat up properly.

“Is that good?” The cameraman asked, receiving a nod from the prince.

Shancai stood up before filling two bowls of food and putting them in the microwave. “I’m not-“ Vinny was cut off.

“If you’re not hungry then I’m not taller than you” The prince spoke.

“B-but you are taller?” The cameraman answered.

“Exactly” Shancai answered as he leaned back against the counter slowing the food to heat up.

“Okay okay, you win again” Vinny chuckled, hanging out with Shancai was nice, he was calm, relaxing, he made the cameraman feel safe, Willow, Deity and Shancai, all made him feel safe…they felt like family…

Vinny was snapped out of his thoughts as the prince handed him the bowl of food, which he took happily. “Thanks” the cameraman spoke.

“We’ve had a busy night, best we eat and rest, then in the morning we can talk about me training you” Shancai answered, as he received a nod.

The food was nice, he was able to eat, he didn’t feel as sick when he ate, he didn’t think of Rushifa as much and the human meat taste was overwhelmed by the different rush of flavours from the food he was given. It felt heavenly.

Shancai seemed to notice how much Vinny was enjoying the food, it was probably the big happy and content smile on his face. “I thought you weren’t hungry?” The prince teased.

“Oh shut up” The cameraman laughed out, “You know I was lying” he continued, as he ate more. Shancai let out a content sigh as he continued to eat.

They both finished eating eventually, Vinny had insisted on doing the dishes despite the princes’ retorts. After the cameraman finished washing the dishes Shancai put his shirt back on. “You can be very insistent at times” the prince spoke to Vinny as they began walking down the halls.

“Is that a problem?” The cameraman joked, Shancai shook his head in response, before they both made it to their rooms. “I’ll see you tomorrow” Vinny spoke to the prince.

“Try to rest up, I wake up early tomorrow” The prince spoke before opening the door, “Good night” he spoke once more, before closing the door. Vinny smiled to himself, Shancai felt like the brother he never had.

The cameraman entered his room and kicked off his shoes, before entering the bathroom and quickly brushing his teeth. He dropped on the bed, staring at the makeshift cloak with the Phoenix clasp. It was nice, he should wear that more often.

Vinny let out a soft content moan as he nuzzled the pillow and pulled the blanket over himself, before slowly drifting off.

(I wrote a lot my stars, so eat up, also Shancai and Vinny isn’t anything more than brotherly, I can feel people think that it’s a bit weird how much Vinny compliments Shancai, but it’s just that Vinny can appreciate a pretty man, Vinny loves Garmadon)

The walk to the markets wasn’t anything extraordinary, the two didn’t talk much, Shancai just led Vinny to the markets silently. The cameraman didn’t mind either he was still embarrassed about what happened before and was a little giddy, the kiss reassured him a lot.

Vinny was drawn out of his thoughts, when he accidentally bumped into Shancai who stopped walking. “Sorry” the cameraman apologised as he looked up at the prince, he was just given a reassuring nod.

“We’re here” Shancai spoke, causing Vinny to look out in front, he must’ve been lost in thought to not have noticed the conversations, smell of food and bright lights that tainted the markets. For one thing, the cameraman realised how fucking hungry he was.

“Cool” Vinny spoke, as his eyes practically shone, he seemed to really like this place.

“It is” The prince spoke, “Stay close” he added, as he entered the crowd, the cameraman following close behind. It was almost impossible not to bump into someone due to how busy it was, but it was fairly easy finding Shancai, he towered over the crowd.

As they made it through the crowd, Vinnys’ stomach grumbled, why was he hungry now of all times? Deity was right, he should’ve eaten.

His eyes widened as he smelt a sweet scent, which caught his attention as he turned towards it, he couldn’t really quite tell what it was, it looked like a donut, but not at the same time, either way it looked delicious.

Vinny was caught off guard by Shancai’s voice, “If you’re hungry we can get you something” The prince spoke, as he looked at the cameraman.

“O-oh I’m not” Vinny lied as he smiled at him softly, it felt a little rude to ask for food, Shancai just made a ‘are you serious?’ expression, not buying into the act. “Ok ok…maybe I am a little…” the cameraman confessed, “But I can eat back at the palace…I don’t have any money so-“ he was cut off.

“I’m a prince…money isn’t a problem” Shancai spoke, “And patrol here isn’t anything interesting, best you indulge in your needs” the prince sighed.

“A-are you sure?” The cameraman hesitantly asked, receiving a confirming nod.

“What do you want to eat?” Shancai asked, Vinny awkwardly pointed to that stall with the nice smell. The prince nodded and walked over there with Vinny. “How much you want?”

“O-one?” The cameraman spoke, Shancai nodded and just spoke to the stall owner and our a bunch of coins in the owners’ hand. The prince handed it to Vinny, who shyly took a bite, man it was good.

“Fuck that’s good…” The cameraman sighed, it was so warm and perfectly sweet.

“Willow likes them a lot…I don’t even know what it is” Shancai answered as they kept walking.

“I thought it was a donut at first” Vinny spoke, causing the prince to look at him curiously. “What?”

“What the fuck is a donut?” The prince asked, with genuine curiosity.

“You don’t have donuts here?” The cameraman asked surprisingly.

“I don’t think so, I’ve never heard it before” Shancai spoke, as he turned his head curiously.

“I feel like it would be too sweet for you, it’s like a deep fried pastry” Vinny answered, as he happily bit the food.

“Strange” The prince spoke, there was an awkward silence for a while, before Vinny slowly noticed stares, it wasn’t too him, but to Shancai, this must be what Willow meant about people not liking his appearance. Shancai seemed unfazed or used to this.

“People don’t like you?” The cameraman hesitantly asked.

“They don’t like how I look, or the fact I don’t do magic” The prince bluntly answered, receiving a soft nod from Vinny. The awkward silence appeared again, only laughter and conversations from others around them was heard. “Can we stop somewhere?” The prince asked.

“We can go anywhere you like, I’m just tagging along” The cameraman answered, Shancai nodded and continued walking till they went down an alley sort of way, it was more secluded and quieter. “Where we going?” Vinny spoke up.

“I need to give some people stuff” Shancai spoke, as they entered a darker area, it wasn’t as nice as the upper kingdoms, probably the slums. Four kids ran out and hugged Shancais’ legs. “Hello to you too” the prince sighed, he couldn’t hide the happiness in his voice.

“Who’s this?” A young boy, with short messy hair and a missing tooth spoke, as he pointed to Vinny.

“He’s a guest at the palace, him and his friends accidentally ended up here” Shancai answered.

“What’s your name?” A young girl with curly brown hair and dark skin asked Vinny, she seemed shy.

“I’m Vinny” the cameraman answered, his expression and voice softening as he smiled softly.

“Where’s your parents?” Shancai asked, the kids pointed to a house. “I’ll be back” the prince spoke to Vinny who nodded and watched Shancai walk off to the house.

“You’re pretty” a girl with green eyes and black hair said to Vinny, the cameraman seemed surprised by this compliment.

“T-thank you?” Vinny spoke awkwardly.

“Are you friends with Shanni?” A different boy with blonde hair and blue eyes asked.

“I-I think? Maybe?” The cameraman answered, the kids were about to ask another question before Shancai came back.

“Are you leaving already?” The girl with black hair whined.

“The market’s are extra busy today, who knows what’ll happen” The prince spoke, before giving the kids some coins. “I’ll come back soon I swear”

“You’ll bring him too?” The blonde boy asked as he pointed to Vinny.

“Maybe, I need to get him home first” Shancai spoke, before standing up straight, Vinny was trying to process what was happening. “Let’s go” he spoke to Vinny, receiving a nod.

The two began to walk off, the kids waving bye. “Who are they?” The cameraman questioned the prince, the moment they were out of hearing range.

“Just some kids, they live in a poorer area, I try my best to give what I can” Shancai answered.

“That’s nice of you” Vinny spoke, “They like you a lot” the cameraman added.

“They do…they also seem to have taken a liking for you” Shancai answered.

“Yea…” Vinny sighed, it was quiet as they went back to the markets. They both sat on a rock, “What now?”

“Nothing much, just wait for something to happen, I usually walk, but best you rest your legs” The prince answered.

“It’s nice here…” Vinny confessed as he laid down on the rock.

“It is…” Shancai replied, as he watched Vinny lay down.

“Your mum’s nice…” the cameraman spoke up, catching the princes’ attention, receiving a soft hum of acknowledgment. The silence was short lived as there was a series of scream which instantly caused Vinny to sit up while the prince stood up and looked around. “What’s happening?” The cameraman questioned.

“Not sure” Shancai answered, as he summoned his spear again, “You coming?” He asked, receiving a nod from Vinny as he stood up. The two ran to the sound of the chaos, the prince groaned in annoyance as he saw a heart painted to a rock.

“What’s wrong?” Vinny asked curiously.

“It’s Enji” Shancai confessed, causing Vinnys’ heart to drop, he did not want to see Enji…at least he wasn’t alone…

“Shanni! Baby! It’s been a while since we last saw each other!” A familiar playful voice called out, catching the twos’ attention as they stared up a ledge, surely enough Enji was standing there, twirling a new dagger between his fingers. Vinny was a little curious at Enjis’ nickname for the prince, but that was the least of his worries.
