Hiiii. Joining this cuz it's fun
I'm a polytherian. My theriotypes are a coyote, wolf, raccoon, and my main type is a mutt resembling the chernobyl dogs.
I'm also crow hearted
I have a few heart homes, one that is particularly tied to my dog theriotype, and the other is just my idea of Minecraft. I've been debating whether or not it is as well or if I just feel extremely drawn to it, but also Far Harbor from Fallout 4.
I consider myself to be a kind of shape shifter in the way that I experience life. I am almost always partially shifted into something. I'm just a creature man.
I don't know how else to describe the way I look usually to people other than a weird radioactive dog. Weird eyes. Weird, slightly green fur. Just strange.
hey alterhumans/alterbeings, tell me about your identities! i'll start:
i'm a magpie therian
i'm foxhearted
sometimes i'm also a machine and/or an angel, it fluctuates. i specifically feel connected to the comparisons between the divine and the mechanical
i love being called a thing and it/its pronouns are awesome
i'm fictionflicker
The fact I can't eat hot food the second it comes out of the oven/microwave is ridiculous >:
Food tastes best fresh. Let me eat. I DONT CARE IF ITS TOO HOT LEMME EAT IT
Me looking at all the sticks I have stored in my cars trunk
Canine therian culture is keeping a stick around to bite and play fetch with
.
Dnd character doodles of my ghost reborn Casper P. Geist. He's a stupid rogue that acts like a bard, and he sounds like a bad impersonation of Mickey Mouse because his vocal chords got stomped. Also has a glowyribcage he writes off as a glow in the dark hoodie. Goober
1. Ref drawing of his outfit for our current arc
2. Running from his past in a bad memory
3 and 4. His Witchlight carnival outfit from a past arc.
5. Stupid little doodle of him and his other party member Louie (hexblood ranger)
Mask updateeeee!!! 🐕☢️
I touched up the paint a bit and gave myself some more fluff >:]
This looked fun.
1. I don't mind being called any of the things listed. I'd also add on shapeshifter. Not because I actually believe I can shape shift ( :[ ) but just that my form changes so much and my relation to my types is so fluid it really just feels like sometimes I sneeze and grow ears haha. It also plays into my interpretation of shape shifters.
2. I have a couple! A radioactive mutt (closely resembling the chernobyl dogs), a common raccoon, southeastern coyote, wolf (I've never been able to fully narrow this down to a specific kind, so I just say wolf.), and a livestock guardian dog (I haven't been able to narrow down which specifically, I think maybe a šarplaninac).
I'm kinsidering the chestnut wolf from Minecraft and one of my own characters as some kind of fictionkin, though I'm hesitant on claiming it :/
3. Probably the radioactive mutt.
4. For the mutt, sour candy. Anything that turns my tongue a different color. As for the rest, comfort foods and meat like chicken fried steak, brisket, potato soup, mac n cheese.
5. Green. Bright, bright green. Also, muted earthy tones.
6. I own lots of gear! I have a whole list about what I consider gear on my blog. I like to make masks and have made 4 for myself so far. I have a few collars, a pair of ears, tails, and gloves. I also consider all of my clothes and a lot of my jewelry gear. Even the way I dye my hair, I consider gear, haha.
7. It has made me more comfortable in my skin, and having a label and a community has helped ease a lot of the loneliness and yearning I felt before I considered myself nonhuman.
8. I'll never really be perceived by others the way I want to be, I can't change certain characteristics of myself to fit how I feel. It's harder for me to communicate with others at times because of how much of my communication is nonverbal.
9. I love hiking, camping, listening to certain types of music, dressing in clothes I feel fit my types, DIYing, and interacting with my friends and community. I get to act like a canine around my loved ones, and they don't mind.
10. I have several! Most of my types tend to revolve around the seasons, so I have different playlists for each. In the colder months, I experience more wolf and livestock dog shifts, so I listen to my winter woods playlist more. In the warmer months, I experience more raccoon and coyote shifts, so I play my summer woods playlist. My radioactive mutt type is present all year round, and I have a playlist dedicated to it called Apocalypse Dog Radio (lots of Gorillaz and other funky jams). Music is a huge part of my identity!
11. Outside of stuff I wear, I also have a ton of trinkets and such that remind me of my types and my hearthomes. I have a bunch of minecraft and some fallout 4 merch, journals I write in, sticks, rocks and shells, bells, and other little various things.
12. Yup. Lots of comfy clothes and layers. Either in warm tones or muted earthy ones. I love clothes I can go on adventures in. I also love Converse because they keep my feet close to the ground and feel like paws.
13. I used to when I was younger, and I had a fursona. I don't so much anymore, seeing as my types aren't characters. They're me. I think furries are really cool, though :]
14. I don't draw animals a whole lot but here's one of my radioactive mutt type:
:]

Questioning being fictionkin??? I have been for a little over a year now. However, I feel like despite how much I've looked into it and thought about it, I still don't know???
I can't tell if it's an actual part of my identity or if it's just because I worked on adapting this character for such a long time that he's just basically become me. I've used him as a way to work through things for so long, whether having conversations with him just to voice issues out loud, writing my own trauma through him, or just pretending to be him for comfort. Granted at times with the last scenario it's been a more unpleasant feeling, but sometimes just having the idea of his presence beside me is reassuring. He's like a friend I can always rely on, and if he needed a place to stay, I'd offer my own without a moment of hesitation.
I don't know if I'd consider myself to be him, but it feels like more than just a favorite character. He isn't quite me, but he isn't quite not me. Does any of this make sense? I am genuinely looking for advice if anyone has any.
List of random obscure stuff I'm fascinated with for no reason, or maybe there is a reason, but I'm too tired to figure it out:
1. Small spaces that aren't really safe given the overall environment, but that still feels safe for whatever reason. (Ex. 2D's underwater room from Plastic Beach, my own room, horror game safe rooms, the backseat of cars driving at night.)
2. The cold. Any version. The Arctic, snow in Texas, the sound of a box fan in the middle of winter. Snow. I like the cold. I like walking in it and having it surround me.
3. Blue noise. The ambiance noise. It's my favorite kind. It sounds cold. Ain't that neat?
4. Early 2000s nostalgia. This one's more understandable, considering I grew up in the 2000s. Particularly focused on the technology because young me was a big fan of the 'puter. Throw in a DS, and I'm sold.
5. Nautical stuff. I know next to nothing about sailing, but you bet your ass I love me some boats and sailors. Oh, or lighthouses and lighthouse keepers. Not so much pirates as just old people sailing boats. Make it cold and thats even better. Like that one oil rig horror game? Loved it. The ocean is cool too sometimes. Especially stingrays. Love em. You know what actually?
6. Stingrays. Funny dudes. Favorite animal. Any kind of ray, really. Mantaray, eagle ray, cownose ray... I think they're very cool.
7. Carousels. I like the pretty horses, fucking sue me. I'd like to design them, especially the ones with all types of animals. The ones on boardwalks or outside aquariums in particular are very cool because they have all the sea creatures.
I miss my pack. We saw eachother just last weekend but I miss them. I wanna sleep in a dog pile and rough house and make noise with them. This sucks.
This would be such a cute children's or young adult series
imagine a bunch of therians living on a huge ranch together, except they’re shapeshifters who can turn into their kin.
the horse therian tends to the herds, and is an avid rider. He’s responsible but has a hot temper.
The border collie therian is the horse’s right hand, she’s fiercely protective and loyal to a fault.
the coyote therian is feral and lives somewhere on the edges of the property. They live with a coyote pack on and off, and sometimes live as a human.
The crow therian is curious, intelligent, and tinkers. She makes small machines and toys.
the mountain lion therian is aggressive and detached, sometimes preying on the horse herd, but she doesn’t mean any real harm, and still loves the farm and those on it.
The two barn cat therians are a bonded pair, both pragmatic and detached, but affectionate to those who treat them well.
WAIT I NEED TO WRITE THIS-
