Let's be real; sometimes the flags and labels get confusing. This can be true for anyone, queer, or cishet, new to it, or a rainbow-veteran. And that's okay. I as a queer person am not obligated to know everything about gay subculture, it's imagery and language. More than that, no queer person should be expected to educate others about these matters. When they choose to do so, however, I advise you listen, even, no, especially where your views may differ. There is no absolute truth to these things in our quickly changing world. It is up to people themselves to choose the words they describe themselves with, and the imagery they feel best represents them. These things exist FOR them. For all of us, to communicate easier and feel safer, and more comfortable in our communities & our own skins. Not knowing the meaning of each slang word and color combination does not make anyone less valid. Using labels, and possibly changing them along the way to better fit, is good. Using a label that you feel describes you, even if someone disagrees, is okay. Choosing not to use labels at all is okay. These words are tools and you may use them however they best serve you. THAT IS THEIR PURPOSE.

Jaaha, ja nyt on sitte viimeistään irtauduttava suomalaisestakin massamediasta.
Oon sanonut ennenkin, että nää 'paremmat' journalistiset, ja keltainen lehdistö alkaa huolestuttavasti erottua toisistaan entistä vahvemmin vain ulkoasullaan. Hyvää lehtimiestapaa on loukattu mm. plagioinnilla, kyseenalaisella kuvituksella ja kunnianloukkauksilla laidasta laitaan jo pidemman aikaa. Siitä voidaan sitten puhua erikseen, että millainen julkinen spekulaatio on ok ja millainen ei, etenkin lasten ja yksityishenkilöiden kohdalla. Pointti on siinä, että kun valtamediassa julkaistaan suoraan ja kritiikittä äärimielipiteitä samalla, kun ihmiset arkielämässään kärsii niiden vaikutuksista, jokin on vinossa ja pahasti.
Se, että jossain menee huonommin, tai että Suomessa vois mennä huonommin, ei tarkoita, että meillä menee nyt riittävän hyvin & kehittämisen voi lopettaa. 'Riittävän hyvin'; täällä rivikansalaiset yrittää päivittäin polkea toistensa oikeuksia mm. kotirauhaan, itse-ilmaisuun, koulunkäyntiin ja uskonvapauteen. Ei kuulosta reilulta minusta.
Joku voi sanoa, että 'lehtimiestapa' on vanhanaikainen etiketti, mutta itse pidän sitä (pää-asiassa) ihan validina laaturajana. Ihan vähintään radikaalina pidettäviin julkaisuihin pitäisi aina ottaa mukaan asiantuntijan tai 'vastakkaisen' mielipiteen edustajan näkökanta.

Teen samaa, mitä ennenkin; kirjotan, tutkin ja osallistun erilaisiin mediatuotantoihin, mutta lisäksi omistan antikvariaatin, jossa kirjojen ohella myydään & vaihdetaan mm. musiikkitallenteita, kortti- ja roolipelejä, koriste-esineitä, sekä paikallisten taiteilijoiden teoksia. Tiskiltä löytyy pientä naposteltavaa, sekä kylmiä ja kuumia juomia. Kalenteriin on suunniteltu workshoppausta, kirjailijavierailuja ja monenlaisia illanistujaisia.
Uutena yrittäjänä ja semi-tuoreena K<3kk<3lalaisena otan mielelläni vastaan vinkkejä tapahtumiin, tuotteita hyllyyn & toimijoita rinnalle. Monta hyvää ideaa on jo odottamassa pandemia-vapaampaa kevättä, mutta lisää mahtuu joukkoon!

In my head I imagine a beast. A one-eyed hell-hound, a bitch with tacky fur & uncut nails. Restless, howling with the darkness within me. In reality it'd probably look more like me. Just.. wilder.
The day is done. I flick the half-burned cigarette in a nearby puddle. As the water ripples, for a moment I can see it's reflection beside mine. We walk away.
Everything did not go as planned, surprise-surprise.

This is the first fully Finnish mix I've ever made
When going trough- and selecting my favorite Rölli songs, I realized there's more of them in the original series than I remembered. I was going for a certain aesthetic here, and didn't wanna include many of them because of real-world references and stuff, so I'll make a playlist for them called Omituisten Otusten Opetuksia & link it here
There's also some songs here, that aren't from the Rölli fandom, but I think compliment the themes beautifully

We shouldn't only get involved in fights that directly affect us -we should fight for everything we believe in. I know it can sometimes be a lot. Not all communities even want help from 'outsiders'. But we have to stick together. 'Cause for everything that's different about us, there's something in common for everyone.
How can we expect ALL people to make changes for our closest causes, if we're not ready to step up out of our lane even a little bit for theirs? So today I speak for everything I see is wrong in this world. And you should too.
