Babs is confused when Cass actually bothers to tap politely on her shoulder to get her attention instead of just jumpscaring her as usual. She shoves a novelty mug into Babs' hands that reads 'world's greatest evil genius' and Babs responds with a quizzical eyebrow raise and an "uhh... thanks?" Cass hovers, fidgetting nervously. She looks as if there's something she needs to say but she chokes on it. After a moment or so she just turns and leaves without having said anything. A bemused smile on her face Babs sets the mug down on her desk and goes back to work. She never thinks to notice what day it is. For a lot of reasons Barbara Gordon tries not to think too much about Mother's Day.

4. piece you wish got more love?

a few came to mind! i wish this (& this!) oc piece did better. i rly like how the face turned out :DD i also wish this viper sketch got just a bit more love only bcuz its my fav viper drawing ive done!! i don’t think i’ll ever be able to draw her face so perfectly again GAH!

11. do you listen to anything while drawing?

yea absolutely!! i can’t even imagine drawing in silence LOL. i used to mainly listen to music while drawing (id just loop whatever song was stuck in my head at the moment). thennnn i started listening to video essays more or id put my fav youtubers on in the background while i drew. nowadays i mainly put on twitch streams in the background while i draw but sometimes i’ll still listen to music or youtube :D in fact i’ll even bounce back and forth between twitch and youtube or twitch and music

12. describe your process while drawing

my process is 90% scrolling through pinterest and 10% actually drawing LMAO. i really will spend an hour minimum scrolling through pinterest before i actually draw 😭 i’ll find several pics i wna reference and then i get straight to drawing! im terribly lazy as an artist so i don’t wna spend energy warming up (though i probably should OOPS)… if im attempting to do a fully rendered piece the process is: pinterest for 50 million hours —> sketch —> flat colors —> paint over sketch and flats —> get lazy and never finish

i HATEEEEEE doing lineart GRRR sometimes i’ll clean up my sketches and that’s basically the lineart step for me. very rarely do i actually attempt to do proper lineart its just SOOO TEDIOUSSSS and a lot of times i like the messiness and texture of my sketches way better! i feel like whenever i do lineart it just looks so bland and lifeless <//3 that being said i actually do wanna practice doing lineart bcuz there are so many artists i like that do wonderful line work (alex raymond, takehiko inoue, and hirohiko araki just to name a few of my favs :DDD) and i wna be able to do cool line work too!!! i just get very frustrated with it a lot of times LOL

30. whats something youre proud of about your artstyle?

this one is actually a tough question! i’m not even the biggest fan of my own art style but if i had to choose something im proud of how i draw faces :]] faces are my fav things to draw and i think im okayyyy at diversifying the features i give to characters though that’s something i def gotta work on more :D

does that even count as an answer….i didn’t rly single out a particular feature of my style…in fact im not even sure i know how to idk what the hell defines my style i wont lie 😭 i hope the answer satisfies you though :]]

My name is Anas Al-Sharfa. Since October 7, 2023, we have been suffering from a brutal war that has destroyed our dreams and hopes, exceeding the limits of human comprehension. During this savage war, we have endured hardships that mountains could not bear. We are facing severe water shortages and a critical lack of food and nutrition due to the blockade in northern Gaza for the past 10 months, preventing essential supplies like meat, vegetables, and fruits from entering. This situation has forced us to eat animal feed, leading to weight loss, various diseases, and a significant weakening of our immune systems.

We also suffer from severe water shortages, often walking nearly 1 kilometer to obtain a single gallon of water, which is approximately 16 liters, barely enough for five family members. As a result of the war, our home and agricultural land, which used to provide our daily sustenance, were destroyed and completely bulldozed, leading to major disruptions in our lives. We have also suffered from repeated displacement, moving from one place to another and from one area to another due to the horrific and brutal bombings.

Additionally, we have been deprived of education and the opportunity to build a future. I was studying to become a doctor to help people, but fate did not allow this as my university, where I dreamed of studying, was destroyed. I have been overwhelmed with thoughts during this war—how will I build my future? How will I complete my studies?

We also suffer from fear and terror due to bombings, fire belts, and explosives. Hospitals, which are the lifeline for every sick and needy person, have also been destroyed. We face a shortage of medicines and vaccines while diseases increase and ravage us, with no solution in sight as there are no hospitals or medical supplies available here in Gaza. We live in constant fear for my younger siblings because they haven't received their general vaccinations, particularly after the widespread outbreak of polio due to the lack of cleaning supplies and the massive accumulation of waste in the streets. The streets are also flooded with sewage, posing a grave threat to our children. My brother suffered from jaundice, battling it for about two weeks with fatigue, dizziness, and other symptoms. It's a deadly disease, and as mentioned before, there’s no treatment available due to the destruction of hospitals and health centers.

We are also suffering from the absence of cooking gas, forcing us to use wood and plastic to start fires, which could lead to poisoning. We've been without electricity since October 7, spending days in darkness, causing immense fear in my younger siblings. This has also made it extremely difficult to charge our phones and batteries for lighting at night. We had to travel kilometers from our home to find places with electricity, incurring high costs to charge our phones and batteries.

Moreover, we have had no stable income since the beginning of the war after our agricultural land was destroyed.

I kindly request assistance for my family so that we can live a better life.
