Unfinished painting of dragon oc thingies. Wanted to fill up the whole page with goobers but never ended up doing that.

Here's the beginning of my inktober escapades. All of the prompts are from my uni's art club. I was planning on using both this prompt list and the official one (for certain prompts where I need more to get my brain going), but the official prompt list is kinda ass this year.
Challenging myself to only use my one brush pen that i've never used before (along with no sketching beforehand) for all the drawings
This one was pretty fast, but then the stars were really annoying and took a decent amt of time. I like how they turned out, though.
Gonna post them all separately because I have things to say about each separate one ππ

Couldn't really think of something for 'abundance', so i did a bunch of little guys in a forest.
I was really unhappy with it in the beginning (second pic), but I decided to keep going because why not. I'm glad I did because, while I still have problems with the final piece, i like it a lot better than i would if i'd left it unfinished.

Ohhhh here I am, milking the Big Indie Show. I quite liked ep 1, but I've been on the fence about 2 and 3, since the 'find an exit' central focus has kind of been dropped. I get that the exit was fake, but I still feel that Pomni should be a lot more annoying (ask questions) about anything and everything regarding how the circus works. It's only at ep 3 (at time of creating this post), so we'll see how I feel about the future eps.
Really like the pose I came up for her here. Very anxious π. That's the thing I've really enjoyed while making the sticker designs, I really want to convey the character's personality with their pose.

Another painting I did that utilizes the peeling canvas trick.
I wasn't too happy with this when I finished, but I really like it now. It's just a fun little piece.

Okay so here's me continuing my sticker design escapades. Now the motivation is to eventually sell them at my uni's yearly nerd fest in the artist's alley >:)
This was also the start of me challenging myself to complete one drawing a day for as long as I could since it was summer and I had the time.
Finished this in one day! Whoaa actually hit a goal of the day for once!
You know, I don't really like a lot of the characters' designs (including this guy) from HH, but it grew on me when I was drawing him.
When I first realised that I should make his hat-fire the light source I thought it would go terribly, but I really like how it turned out.
Switched to ibis paint X for drawing--it's wayyy better for drawing on a tablet than krita. I can see why people call it a beginner program since the interface is really easy to use and get a hang of. Krita is great, but it's impossible to use on a tablet/without a keyboard for shortcuts.
I also like Ibis' feature where it records your progress. Really fun to look back on how i drew shite. It also records how long smth takes which is fun to see how embarassingly slow I am.

Cute painting I made with a decent amount of 3D elements. The shapes themselves are 3D because of the acrylic. Although the acrylic I used bordered on too soft-bodied for this purpose. It dried decently flat and there are holes littered throughout,,, idk why that is. It's not terrible, I just needta keep that in mind if I ever do smth like this again if I want better results.
This piece was rlly big so I did it on the floor. I had a lot of moments of getting angry at my dogs for being stupid and walking on it.
The 3D peeling away was achieved with newspaper and a lot of mod podge. That part's taken quite the beating since this painting was made, and a couple of the pieces have fallen off.
I like the contrast in this piece, and painting the little revealed part was my favourite part of the project.

Krita
"Alastor landing in hell and seeing himself for the first time" moment I drew.
Made it to uh embed in a fic that I wrote,,,a klalfghg, d, a,,, Ughhghghg dude if anyone I know irl ever reads this it's over for me like forrealππππ
Drew this using krita on my tablet and exporting/saving the .kra file without it becoming mysteriously corrupt was such a struggle. Krita is absolutely horrendous on my tablet.

Another one that I barely got in/almost forgot to do day-of.
Arm's a bit weird, but I like how the hand turned out. If I could go back, I would make sure the clover has a clear silhouette and doesn't overlap with the hair.

Wait this was supposed to be the first post??? I didn't get around to cleaning it up until ~3 weeks after I'd queued up all of the tumblr posts π
Ig I'll see how making the post date in the past works >:)
Anyways what I can remember of the prompt was that we were supposed to make masks that represent a specific emotion. We were in pairs and I did it with my friend.
Making it out of wood was not a requirement, but I'd gotten it in my head and I knew my dad wld be able to cut the wood for me πI made a paper mockup, and then my dad took care of cutting and gluing together the pieces. Two masks were made, one for my friend and one for me.
iirc, the emotion I was going for was happiness, but it really doesn't read that way. There used to be paper fluff stuff hanging from the back, but the birds ate that stuff up. They also bit a whole bunch of chunks into it π
I don't remember what happened for it to break that badly. Prolly fell
