Imagine Anastasia and Morgan as paranormal investigators like the dudes from buzzfeed unsolved except instead of one being a dick to ghosts and one being afraid of the ghosts they both are a dick to the ghosts.
Like, the goatman bridge thing;
Morgan: It’s MY bridge now
Anastasia: We’ll be back for you, goatman, afterall it is our bridge now
Morgan: As we snuff out these candles we snuff you out of the mortal world you fucking wimp
Anastasia: I’m dancing on your bridge! Look at how I’m dancing on your bridge!
Morgan: Fuck you Goatman
Anastasia: If you want me off this bridge you’re gonna have to throw me off of it!
Grand Theft Auto: Gettysburg (via Kaibutsu / Baltimore Police Department)
A magic circle is made to keep either magic in, like toot toot, or keep magic out, like the toad demon, and magic can not cross the barrier. If that is the case why does it not seem to work on curses?
I know Harry had to confront shadowman before the council arrives to protect his neck. Why not have Morgan draw a circle around Harry sitting in a chair, power it and watch as the dark spell his the circle and dispense.
Then Morgan can see its not Harry, shocker, and can start looking for the real culprit. I know the book would end far less dramatic then it does but Morgan would have the proof, Harry would not worry about losing his hair and then Shadowman would meet Morgan and his sword.
Not once in the book does Harry ever think about a circle to protect himself from the curse. How simple would that be?
Reblog and put in the tags: If you could pick a fictional character from absolutely any piece of media In Which They Do Not Say Fuck, and give them the ability to say fuck in canon, who would it be?
Perhaps once I have graduated with an English degree I will have it in me to finish a fic that is longer than 1 chapter.
K im very fucking high rn but i just got a flash of what a dresden files movie could look like. Since its a noir detective scenario it could be in black and white with grit, lots of contrast, almost deformed sometimes. But the moment magic is used, no matter how subtle the spell or magical movement, whatever it is or what it interacts with turns into color. But the whole thing, every spell would be practical effects done on set rather than cgi. So you have this sudden burst of colors, of fresh air from the gritty black-and-white decor while still believing in the "weight" and presence of magic in the world as much as you can replicate from the novel. I think thatd be swell
I feel like Morgan was a lot like Harry when he was an apprentice.
Morgan: I may have been... Lightly stabbed.
Anastasia: You were stabbed?!
Morgan: Lightly!
Morgan: Get off the dinosaur.
Harry: You’re not my dad.
Morgan: Get off the dinosaur now!
Harry: No, I’m on a dinosaur and you’re not.
