Atsuko is a video game artist. She works for the Pokemon company and has been ever since the first games! Originally most of the Pokemon designs were supposed to appear scary or tough like Charizard or Tyranitar, but she took some of the designs and gave them a cutesy look!
Atsuko is also the mastermind behind the company’s mascot Pikachu! She also designed a couple of the eevee evolutions and even designed my favorite Pokemon Zoroark! Not only that but if it wasn’t for her, Ivysaur would look like this!
Another cute fact about this artist is she’s super camera shy, during an interview in 2018 she spent the entire thing hiding behind a Pikachu plush!
Atsuko’s work is very important to the company because without her design we wouldn’t have a balance of designs within the Pokemon games. We mainly have intimidating ones such as Garchomp or Metagross.
Atsuko is an inspiration to me because not only are her designs diverse and loved by all but they also hold purpose in a way. The main rule of a pokemon design is that they need to look like they’d be your friend, I feel that Atsuko pulls this off really well! I try and make my work to have the same feel, some of my characters may look intimidating but deep down inside they’re total sweethearts who will have your back no matter what, either that or they’re just goofballs who want to have a good time with you!
One of the things that amazes me about her is that when she made the design for the company’s mascot, Pikachu, she didn’t make any concept sketches! She went straight to the computer and started punching dot’s to create him. She even quoted it herself in one of her interviews!
I like her designs because of how much character they hold and the color schemes and inspiration behind them are interesting! Not only that but the designs are also loved by many people and I wish to have people enjoy my designs, similarly to how they enjoy Atsuko’s!
I imagine a young single dad Ibuki trying to raise Louis and being so confused as to what he can and can’t eat. It’s a terrifying experience going into the herbivore baby section of stores, and even more going to find a good doctor for little Louise. Eventually Ibuki finds one who hooks him up with everything he needs, and is actually very accepting of carnivores and carnivore parents.
Integrating him into Shishigumi is also quite difficult, considering Ibuki was the only one who wanted him. Louis ventures where he shouldn’t, and has a particular knack for waking up Free at 6:00 a.m in order to get him food. Free has threatened to eat him multiple times.
He also can’t see in the dark, which results in him crying helplessly until someone finds him.
Ibuki keeps him safe and pretty oblivious to the fact that the lions are upset that a baby fawn is running around the place.
Eventually though they all warm up to him. Free incorporates it into his routine to expect Louis to wake him up at 6 so he can give him his milk and celery, Dolph kindly redirects him when he walks into him at night, and eventually just ends up leaving a night light on at night.
In general Louis melds well with all of the lions, and will go into their rooms to try and either play with them or sleep with them, especially when Ibuki isn’t there.
I love Terry so much.
I know he killed Ibis but nobody’s perfect, okay?!

tory power stance is still the funniest thing to come out of uk party politics in a long time
This tutorial will show you how to do a small pixel animation in Photoshop! Of course, this means you will need Photoshop to do this and I also recommend that you have a Wacom tablet. I would also recommend this tutorial for beginner animators, young and old alike!
I chose to do this tutorial as I recently learned how to do it and am pretty proud of myself for it and was hoping you guys might want to know too! For this tutorial I’m just going to do a simple gif of a blinking eye, nothing too complex!
I am kind of bad at tutorials so sorry if this one isn't the best...
STEP 1:
Open a canvas with these settings! 100 X 100 in pixels is best to get the pixel effect!
STEP 2:
Select the brush tool! You do this by hold clicking the pencil and choosing the icon with the paintbrush on it!
STEP 3:
Open a new layer! You do this by clicking the button I circled!
STEP 4:
Click this button! It will turn the timeline into an interface that’s easier to manage!
(There was an error that happened here that I can’t seem to fix... sorry!)
STEP 5:
Now for the fun part! Draw your design and when your done, click the circled button to create a new frame! You can make the eye in any style you wish, or follow my style!
STEP 6:
Draw the previous design onto the new canvas, but make it move a slight bit. This will make it move when you play the finished result! The smaller the adjustment is, the smoother the animation will turn out but this will mean more work. When you are finished drawing this frame, make another!
STEP 7:
Simply repeat 6 as many times as you need to!
STEP 8:
Now to save your animation!
Click file, and then “save as”.
STEP 9:
Name your animation and save it in the Photoshop (PSD) format, then hit the save button! Depending on how long your animation is will determine the time it takes for your file to save, so you will need to sit tight if you’ve made an animation with a ton of frames!
STEP 10:
If you want to make your animation a gif, click file and then export.
From there, click “save for web (legacy)”. After clicking the button, this window should appear.
If you export it as 100 X 100, it WILL come out really small, like this.
but if you want to make it bigger and still keep the pixel format, I recommend changing it up to 300 X 300. You might lose some of the pixel format by making it bigger however...
my brain whenever someone's explaining a game in kakegurui:
No but they can bite stuff and hiss at you
Can your character take care of a plant? A fish? A child? Themself?
This animation was just me messing around with an old concept!
Here's the concept! I tried mixing a chameleon, hyena and a bird to see what the result will be and decided it was good enough to animate!
