Including myself...

Dengang engang. Skitse med fejl: Fremtid indsat.. Han havde absolut ingen idé om hvor de var. Jo, efter over et døgn uafbrudt raslende i et tog gennem Spanien, var de endt i Lissabon, Portugal.
... And over the moon in happiness and success...
“The most dangerous sicknesses are those that make us believe we are well.”
— Lauren Oliver, Delirium
“STONEWALLING” "Stonewalling" er vist et amerikansk udtryk. Ifølge Wikipedia: "Stonewalling is a refusal to communicate or cooperate." Og: "The term is (...) a deliberate attempt to render a conversation completely pointless.

It's a lie. That all your life flashes by. In your last minutes or seconds. You're just a bit surprised, and quite empty-headed. You actually have time to speculate. What should your last thoughts be about? You're almost paralyzed; your body rapidly shutting down. With some effort you spend your last few moves to get a picture of the sun. Beautifully letting rays through the treetops. Your last action is to post the picture on Instagram. Pressing the buttons drains your body, so now you only have your thoughts. And that beautiful image of the sun a late aftersoon. With or without your eyes closed. It's a nice view. And a nice place to die. You're quite satisfied with your luck. But what to think about... Ofcourse some family, friends, and partners through life. Then what? You don't know if you're surprised, or expected it. But what follows you and kinda keeps lingering, is those fictive figures. The ones you have played with the better part of your life. At this stage, they're more real than anything from your real life. It's no surprise, that what fills your fading brain, becomes pure fiction. Your last goodbyes goes to 'I', 'him', 'Laurie', 'Senhor Passo', and all the more or less important other figurines through the story. In the end, they're more alive than ever. And I can stop thinking; they don't really need my brain. That's a relief. And I smile towards the sun. Or they do. I shake hands and leave the party. #mantelmomento #danielmantel #udenfilter #laurieandthestoryof #primeiroproximopasso #fiction #prose #dying #reality #famouslastwords #sun #thatoneoffhashtagialwaysuseisinthiscaselefttomyfictivepersons (The usual one-off hashtag... Yup...
dissociation sucks
Then it happened again. Again-again-again... I don't know how this will make my writing better. Wrong: It does, I just don't know how or why. (Laurie and me and the book we read, and the writer of that book, are becoming more and more clear. Fiction or not.) Anyway, it happened: At this place, I had a dinner that couldn't make it past 100 DKK / 12 €... Including main course of beef (a lot!!) with salad and 'batatas fritas', bread, half bottle of vinho tinto, desert, coffee, and an (old!) brandy that for sure wasn't small... And the couple that has the place, were simply nice. And yes, I know those unbeliable prices partly are a result of the 'crisis'. BUT! It IS also a cultural thing: Here in Portugal you live your life so much more on café's and restaurants. It's as simple as that. You don't stay in your home; you get OUT! The streets are part of your home. And, besides a lot of other stuff, it makes people less isolated. More a part of the local community. And that can only be a good thing! Period! (Why I put this on Instagram, I don't know. The picture isn't even anything special. So...) #cheapdinner #lisbon #minhaanita #calcadadaestrela #culture #livinglife #communityfirst #portuguese #portugueseculture #society #azulejos #wayoflife #restaurante #anotherlife #lifestyle #dinner #abetterway #whyorhowthishasanythingtodowithmewritingthatnovelireallydontknowijustknowthattheportuguesewayoflifeisaninspiration (Usual one-off hashtag... It takes ten times as long to put yourself together as it does to fall apart.
Suzanne Collins, Mockingjay (via books-n-quotes)
So don't fall apart like 2 or 5 times a life...
Just another sunset... Nothing special. Just another day ending. Nothing special. But hey, this day WAS special! Maybe not for the world. I really don't care anyway. Not today, at least, if at all. Because I found out, that I don't give a damn. Too many stupid people, too many disappointments through the years, too many still unsolved or unspoken of problems after SO many years, too many people that pretends and nothing else, too much WASTE of my time. SO: I cut the crap. Being it humans and socalled "friends" (not!), or "things to do" just because it is what I use to do... GO AWAY! Let me be... Me and my Laurie. A less fictive character than most of my (socalled) "colleagues".
