Backstory: His backstory is shrouded in mystery. All that we know is his father was abusive and he found joy in comedy shows. He became a stand up comedian but wasn't very popular. He became a common crook known as Red Hood to make ends meet. He's suspected to be the murderer of the Wayne's. After “One bad day” he fell into acid and went insane and went on a killing spree. His true motives are unknown.
