THERE HE IS
THERE HE IS
M Y P U R P L E S O N
I have talked about this a great length with many people privately since Zimvoid arc ended,
@paketdimensioncomic @sweetiepie08 and @xryn-art
But I don’t think I really made a whole post about it. What our Zim’s “thing” is. No, it’s not choking on styrofoam packing peanuts no matter what Zib thinks. And I can explain why really easily.
Because this:
Zim is really the ultimate Zim for way more reasons then he thinks.
And it’s made even way more obvious when you reread the whole Zimvoid arc as a whole narrative.
It’s not just because Zim was the one to completely erase the Zimvoid from his reality…
HE WAS THE ONLY ZIM WHO WAS CAPABLE OF DOING THIS.
Let’s see, what does our Zim have that the other Zims in the Zimvoid don’t?
He has a GIR. He was only able to interface with the frequency due to GIR.
And Zim causing realities to collapse in on themselves wouldn’t have been possible at all without GIR. Zim would have honestly messed this up without him (he could have easily erased himself from existence) GIR is way more competent than he appears to be.
Zim was able to destroy the Zimvoid because of direct assistance from GIR.
And as we all remember:
The zapper absolutely fried every single GIR on entry to the Zimvoid. According to Spotted Zim here, every single GIR was destroyed completely due to the zapper.
Not many people give it too much thought because before the arc was over people were predicting GIR would have a large role to play in what Zim’s “thing” is. And he does, because Zim couldn’t have taken down the entire Zimvoid without GIR.
But HOW did GIR survive? Why did GIR survive? what makes GIR so special?
If Dib did not stubbornly follow Zim blindly into the Zimvoid, GIR wouldn’t have survived.
(That and Dib keeps a close eye on GIR and slips easily into his protective big brother mode with him)
IT’S THE REASON ALL THE OTHER GIRS perished.
ZIB EVEN SAYS AS MUCH:
Zib finds that weird and hilarious that out of all the Dibs, he’s the only one who comes, but he never really properly check what Dib’s “thing” is because it’s so obvious to him.
But here’s the kicker about what our Zim’s “thing” is… or what Zib assumes from his thing…
He’s scanning his Memory for variations based on the timeline he came from, not the current events that are happening.
Because as it stands….
Zim could have only destroyed the Zimvoid with GIR’s help.
GIR could have only survived with Dib’s assistance/interference… and
Dib needed to follow Zim for this to happen.
You know what else needed to happen?
Dib had to be there to pull Zim out of his own head and focus on the task at hand…
This sounds vaguely familiar
So what am I getting at with all these connections? What does it all mean? Well… I have a bit of a theory, and I kinda think the Zimvoid proved it.
There are a few things that set our Zim apart from all the other Zim and make him the Ultimate Zim..
Zim does not abide by the laws of this society very well. He does what he needs to do in the stadium, but he really is resistant to how bureaucratic the system is. Even 2k and Palindrome who do have their own resistance group, are still functioning within the rules of their society and the Elder Zim says as much. No Zim ever thinks to destroy this dimension altogether and take out all the other Zims with them. Even as a resistance group they are clearly playing by Zib’s rules.
There’s a reason that the Resistance has existed for six months and hasn’t even gotten close to beating much less confronting Number One until Dib showed up. They never really left the game and are really chasing their own tails. It’s just another way to feed into their competitive egos without directly competing in the stadium. If any of these Zim’s were as driven as OUR Zim, they would of confronted number One a very long time ago.
Because our Zim is the most driven out of any Zim in the Zimvoid.
Zim rose in rank way faster in 24 hours than any progress that the Zim-Resisty made in six months.
If half or even one of the Zims in the Zimvoid were as driven as our Zim, can you imagine how quickly this establishment could be abolished?!
Every Zim has a role to fill and they will gladly fill those roles when they have a specific trait given to them… Like… THEY WILL OWN IT. IT IS WHAT DEFINES THEM AS AN INDIVIDUAL NOW.
For all these Zims in the Zimvoid…. and Carl… this defines what they are and who they are now. Every Zim takes great pride in their “Thing”
For Zim, this is completely unacceptable. No version of Zim would just accept their role like this and he KNOWS that. It’s why he resists so hard and calls them all horrible variations of him. Zim has been fighting tooth and nail to carve his own identity and stand out as Irk’s finest invader for centuries. To get the Tallest and his people to look at him for who he is and praise him for how awesome he is. And now he’s being told that in order to be “unique” he has to “follow the crowd” You see where Zim’s whole conflict comes from here.
This is why Zim falls to pieces when he is actually given a “Thing” and it’s the stupidest thing in the world. All these inferior Zims are the ones calling HIM the worst…. because of packing peanuts.
The identity he’s been trying so hard to stand out isn’t important after all…. he isn’t a unique Zim, he’s the worst of the worst out of many Zims. You can see how that can easily break him and he would have stayed in his existentialism if Dib wasn’t there.
And the thing about having a Dib in the Zimvoid….
It’s pretty obvious that not all of these Zim’s “THINGS” are exclusive. Throughout the multiverse, they don’t do the exact same things with the exact same people. Their Dibs and relationships and histories they have with Dib are extremely different. Zib didn’t take into account our Zim’s relationship with his Dib.
And why would Zib even care about that? Since he claims that he killed his Zim. he lies about a lot of things
To Zib, a Dib’s relationship to a Zim DOES NOT MATTER
So much so that he denies his own identity, falsifies so much information, lies to Dib’s face to make a good first impression, and above all else, never looks at any Zim’s timeline to determine what their Dib is like. He never checked to see what Dib’s thing is. He just assumed “oh you’re the only Dib who came, of course, that’s your thing”
Really wrong about this, because Zim’s relationship to Dib is really the core factor in what sets Zim apart from the other Zims.
Dib not only was the factor in keeping GIR alive, but was the factor in getting Zim promoted to the inner circle so quickly in the first place.
Dib was also the factor in getting 2k and the rest of the Zim-Resisty wound up enough to actually DO something and storm the gate. Like I said, they’ve been sitting around following the rules of Zim-society as a “rebel” for like six months before Dib showed up.
Dib actually did a lot to boost Zim up into “Ultimate Zim” status. Wether intentional or not, and judged by 2k’s and Palindrome’s reactions to Dib throughout the arc….
We get a lot of hints of this from how every Zim talks and refers to their Dib.
We never know how the Boloney effect was reversed in the show, and that’s part of the joke. But it is very clear that the Boloney effect was only reversed because Zim and Dib worked together to find a solution. THIS ZIM DID NOT WORK WITH DIB AND THIS IS WHY HE IS STILL MEAT.
And from all the context clues I showed before, it’s really clear no Zib and Dib throughout the multiverse have even worked together once, just from how all the Zims tend to regard Dib.
And ESPECIALLY with how Zib regards HIS Zim.
It’s blatantly obvious to me that Zib has never worked together with his Zim.
But as GIR has stated:
If a “real” Zim has never worked with a Dib before…. This is the thing that really sets Zim apart.
Dib was the factor in keeping GIR alive.
Dib was the factor in rallying the Resistance.
Dib was the reason Zim got an audience with number One.
Dib was the one who motivated/inspired Zim to actually look deeper into the irken technology
AND DIB WAS THE REASON ZIM WAS ABLE TO DESTROY THE ZIMVOID
You can call this deep-seated denial from both of them, but they are both right in more ways then they know.
Dib is the Ultimate Dib because Zim is the Ultimate Zim because they unintentionally, fall into teamwork roles and help each other out. They are both the “worst” because they can work together better then any other Dib and Zim in the multiverse, and that is why they are the best.
Zim was the only possible Zim in the multiverse who could actually do this. Because of Dib.
And I really think that’s what makes him the Ultimate Zim.
Like I really don’t doubt it.
Could you make an analysis on Zib, please?
I’ve talked about Zib a few times before. Like quite a few times actually.
A little bit about Zib and Dib’s denial coping mechanism can be just as bad as Zim sometimes.
About how Zib doesn’t regret that he killed Zim at all
The Tragedy of Zib’s character
This one is more about the Ultimate Zim but Zib worms his way in here.
I usually find there’s not much to say about Zib that I haven’t already talked about in detail before.
I feel there’s so much you can say about a Bad End Friend.
But there’s a few things about Zib that I do find interesting.
I’ve mentioned many times that he has lied to Dib when they first met in order to make himself way more powerful then he seems. A lot of lines are blurred between what’s truth and what’s not.
Like this is a carefully constructed half-truth bullshit lie and most of what he says to Dib on his very first impression is just that. Very well constructed half-lies.
Like he said Dib’s head is the standard unit of measurement across the galaxy and the respect of people everywhere............Well........he’s technically NOT wrong..... Because he does have the respect of all the Zims in the Zimvoid but that’s by posing as the number one Zim. I assure you no one in the Zimvoid is using Dib-head as a standard unit of measurement except him. And he technically IS the only somewhat-human person in the Zimvoid.
Again, he’s not wrong but he is also bull-shiting his way through this conversation and making an effort to impress Dib that he just doesn’t do with the other Zims.
Like he doesn’t care about the other Zims at all in the slightest.
He didn’t even need to drop his disguise as Number One at all, but he saw a Dib and he just had to brag and monologue about his brilliant plan to destroy all the Zims and Irkens because he knew only a Dib would be able to appreciate his greatness. He even says as much.
I really think his need to impress a Dib is greatly increased with who Zib is. Zim in the show, movie, and comics has always had this desire to impress Dib.
Especially in ETF and a few key episodes.
Zim just has an overwhelming desire to impress Dib when a plan comes to fruition. Rewatch “Room with a Moose” and a few other episodes, saying that Dib is the only hooman-monkey that can appreciate the beauty of his plans.
Zib did not need to drop his disguise as the ultimate Zim at all. He could have just thrown Dib in prison but the rest of the Zims but like, he sees a Dib and immediately he wants to talk to him and talk about his plan because he knows only a Dib can appreciate his genius. Both his Zim side and his Dib side.
(I can’t get over 2k and Palindrome pushing Dib closer to Zim Number One like “Take him! Sacrifice to the blood god” )
A Dib pretty much caused Zib to have a bit of a panic breakdown. Not only is the Dib the first human he’s seen since he created the Zimvoid, but he is also a Dib. And no Zim would like his plans, cause he’s brainwashing them all, and they won’t appreciate his genius because they’re not human and they won’t get how far he’s going to destroy them. He knew only a Dib would be able to appreciate this, which is why he reveals himself immediately and starts bragging.
Some are lies and some are truths and some are half-truths. He just deeply wants to impress Dib. Without even realizing it’s his Zim side that feels that way. Because to Zib, of course he’d want to brag to Dib. He’s also a Dib. And no one would understand or appreciate his plan better than himself.
So he reveals himself and tells a lot of things that are bullshit and some aren’t.
He just crafts a perfectly constructed image of what he wants himself to be and what he wants other Dibs to view him as. Just cause his self-loathing is on its max levels.
And I talked about it before. He really hates that Zim is a part of him, which is why he really deny that they’re merged, at least without getting into the technical aspects of it.
I don’t think he entirely lied about his plans.
Like he did lure all the Zims here to kill them off and created a hierarchy where only he benefits. And it’s really only him, because Zib knows no one cares about what he’s doing. If he could get a Dib to care he’d be really less alone.
Which is why he gets so angry when Dib isn’t with him on his plan. Because he thought Dib could understand him but he couldn’t.
And Dib is right in this instance. Zib’s a bit of a psychopath.
Zib has absolutely nothing to gain and nothing to lose from doing this at all. Zib just gets disillusioned with humanity and people in general. Letting Dib in on his plans was more of an impulse. Especially with how he regards and talks about the multiverse when the sheet is pulled out from under him.
Zib absolutely knows what he’s doing is pointless, but he is physically incapable of stopping. Much like a certain Invader with a certain mission. Much like a Determined Big Head boy who never says Die.
He never planned to having a Dib involved at all. But letting Dib in on his plan (along with a few other Zims) was his first mistake.
But the multiverse is a cold, lonely and unforgiving place when you realize what no one cares and whatever you do doesn’t matter across multiple realities.
It’s like peak existentialism that comes with the territory of being aware of a concrete multiverse existence.
It’s hard to say if Zib fusing to Zim’s pack was intentional or not. Just because of how dishonest and un-forward he’s been about his plans and the nature of them up until now.
Zim and Dib both have a real talent for denying the obvious. So who’s to say if the pak-fusing was an accident or intentional. Since he changed his story twice already.
Even Zim says that building the tech with his brain should have been impossible. And while Zim is kinda an idiot and makes poor judgment decisions and is 99% feral in this saga, I’m inclined to agree with Zim here. Because as we remember:
Zim was actually right on that front. Without fusing to the PAK, Zib wouldn’t have been able to build or understand the Zapper at all.
So who’s to say if fusing with the PAK was intentional or not.
Zib acts like he had no choice if he wanted to build the Zapper, but he could have gotten the idea from the Zapper only after fusing to Zim’s PAK.
Who’s to say when or how that happened. Cause while Zib acts proud he “killed” his Zim essentially, who’s to say that isn’t a lie too?
Anyways, I find Zib an interesting character. I feel there’s a lot of potential for him as a reoccurring antagonist.. (but this franchise hates those) I just usually don’t
I’ve talked about him a few times here and there but he only has one comic issue where he shines at all, so there’s only so much to talk about Zib without getting into more personal headcanons and au type stuff.
Sorry for the late reply. It was hard for me to figure out what to talk about with Zib that I haven’t said before.
awhile ago I made this post that covered over cute/small moments between GIR and Zim in ETF.
And like, my mini-series comic I’m working on is taking a lot longer then I thought it would be, So I think I’ll use this time to cover everything I liked about the Membrane Sibling Dynamic in ETF. (yes I am working on the mini-series of membrane family development… writing them is actually pretty hard)
So… This post will actually be a little longer and more in-depth about my thoughts on their new dynamic in general. Cause while Zim and GIR do have a new dynamic, it’s barely noticeable and you can easily explain it in like a paragraph or a few lines… The Membrane Sibling dynamic is very different then what it is in the show.
This is kinda a mixed bag for me because Gaz had the most dramatic character change out of any of the other Characters in ETF. Like Gaz’s change was way more noticeable to me the first time watching then Membrane’s change if that tells you anything.
And I really initially hated the change. Gaz’s new dynamic with her brother almost ruined the viewing experience for me the first time watching ETF. I understand why they did it. Gaz is a bit underdeveloped in the series, but I always found her really relatable and the most down to earth character in the show. Changing her to have a more prominent role in the movie but softening her up considerably made me feel uncomfortable. I found myself saying “That’s not my Gaz” during moments of the movie when I watched it for the first time.
I was debating if softening her up and giving her a backseat to Dib’s Daddy issues was kinda maybe regressive for her character and for a lot of girls and women who identify with Gaz???? maybe???? and might possibly be a little… teensy tiny little itty bitty…bit sexist….???
(do not @ me sjws and extremists… I’m just articulating my initial impressions of Enter the Florpus about 3-4 months after I saw it… Just voicing how I felt at the time of the first viewing months ago.)
As someone who has a bit of a complicated relationship with my sibling, I was kinda disappointed Gaz and Dib turned into The Pine Twins Lite from Gravity Falls. I’ve seen too many good sibling dynamics in cartoons lately, I kinda would have liked it if they kept their dynamic a little bit more the same.
But the more I thought about it….. While Show Gaz was very extreme in her violence and hatred of all things, it was really only relatable to anyone who had a sibling. It might have been possible she came off as way too mean to anyone who didn’t.
Even nowadays I see a lot of edgy content in this fandom where Gaz doesn’t support Dib at all. It’s so depressing and it almost feels like she wants him dead for real… Even though many instances in the show, she has left him for dead, it’s usually due to Dib’s own hubris.
I never really got that impression of her that she hated Dib at all in the show. If that was the case she would not sit with him at Lunch at Skool. She would pretend not to be associated with Dib. But they’re actually seen together at school real frequently outside of their classrooms. She just doesn’t care about his bs and is fed up with his selfishness a lot of the time. Which was even confirmed in “Gaz the taster of pork” when she was talking to the Shadow Hog about her troubles with her brother.
“Yeah, Zim’s an alien but so what. He’s too dumb to take over the Earth. Why should I have to listen to Dib’s constant-”
And she is totally in the right. Dib is so self-absorbed he can barely see past the thickness of his glasses and usually does something unintentionally cruel to Gaz which invokes her wrath. She doesn’t need the one to put up with this or his schemes, or listen to him ramble. While Dib did care for Gaz in the show (he’d sacrifice his life for hers, he’d trust her a lot for some reason, and he did listen to his dad when he told him to walk his sister to the mall) he almost always never took in to account what she wanted in any given situation. No sense of regard for her interests, her hobbies, what she was doing, or what she wanted. (his dad had to convince him with dib’s whines of protest to take her to the mall at night)
Everything is always about Dib. Gaz got a Pizza for him, that’s the only reason she’s holding it. Gaz isn’t busy drawing or anything, she can listen to him talk. Gaz won’t mind if I test this highly experimental voodoo magic on her, she’d love to help with this. Mysterious Mysteries is on, Gaz doesn’t need the TV for videogames… I know family meal night that we have on super-rare occasions is coming up but I’m gonna try to infiltrate Zim’s base and blow it up… not like that’s important…
“Hey, Who ate all the cereal?” “You think you own all the Cereal… Well you don’t Dib!”
Coming to the conclusion that many people might have seen Gaz’s behavior as abusive, or way too mean-spirited to those who don’t have siblings, I can understand her character change in Enter the Florpus. 2019 is a very different timescape then the early 2000′s and it just makes sense.
And… It took me a long time to warm up to their new dynamic, but once I did, I realized that their new dynamic is actually…. better? While I do feel they could have played the Sibling Rivalry up way more, considering what a prominent role Membrane and Dib’s dynamic had in the film, the movie decided to keep the focus on Dib and Zim’s rivalry ultimately, comparing and contrasting their situations, which was the smarter move.
In the show, I feel people actually did misinterpret Gaz for not liking her brother in the slightest and was a complete goth queen pit that envokes wrath of anyone who breathes at her funny… Which was just not true. Even by show standards…(known for it’s mean-spirited-ness) she did have her moments of humoring Dib. (they did have an occasional conversation, and she did listen to his ramblings even if she hated to. Cause she would respond in kind to his bs. The whole “muffin” conversation. )
There were just a lot more things to really love and appreciate about Dib and Gaz’s relationship in ETF that made me feel like they were actually siblings who got on each other’s nerves, but at the end of the day, grew up together and love each other and they’re all they have as friends (for now/the most part.) And You can really feel they grew up together in every single scene that they’re in.
I’m sure people have pointed it out before… but Gaz and Dib have a lot of similar expressions together. There are MANY MORE I’m not including. I’m not even including all the times their body language is extremely similar when they are in similar poses. (like sitting, how they lean-in, etc) It’s not even a case of lazy character animation or design. Zim has very unique animations and faces specific to him. The Membrane siblings mirror each other's expressions and body language intentionally. But unlike GIR trying to mimic Zim, (akin to a younger sibling copying their older sibling) this is the case of two siblings getting on the exact same wavelength, and subconsciously mirror each other’s expressions. There are even some instances of it in the first act, but it happens WAY more frequently in the second act. It’s cause they’re actually working as a team at this point. (more on that later)
The whole opening conversation with Membrane and Gaz about Dib. Just the whole thing. It takes a while to absorb what’s being said cause this comes after the hilarious anime-opening and Florpus fires about 30 jokes per minute. But… Gaz is actually concerned about Dib’s state of being. She actually seems to know more about how bad Dib actually is more than their Father. (#Membrane tries his best but he still sucks at parenting.) She complains about how gross he actually is, but listens sincerely to her father’s advice about trying to be patient and understanding with her brother. Membrane even compared it to him giving up the paranormal to her giving up videogames. While this prompts a violent reaction out of her, while it’s played as a one-off joke, it’s actually a good starting point for the following scene and the whole movie.
Because Gaz is really reluctant to even go and tell Dib to come to dinner. She really complains about this, grumbling to herself every step of the way. Like “Fine whatever dad. I’ll be patient and understanding... feh.”
Also Dib and Gaz both implying (from the use of a shoving stick) Gaz has been bringing him meals frequently for it to be a daily occurrence. That she probably asked dad to make her that Gazmat suit after awhile (or she made it herself)
But I think her words with her father did sink in a bit. You can even hear it in Dib’s voice (Props to Andy. The voice acting in this movie is so good) that he’s really losing it from not being able to convince people of the truth for so long, and not being able to know what Zim’s doing. Who knows how long Dib has been locked in his room like this. (my headcanon is about 2 years… but this could be like 5 months or what have you) Like I think this is the first time you see Gaz look legitimately concerned about her brother’s state of insanity. Which says a lot considering the large number of times she remained indifferent to it in the show.
THIS IS SO SIGNIFICANT I WANT TO CRY
Gaz actually tries her hand at empathy for once. Because what Prof.Membrane said did sink in for her. This would be like giving up videogames! I think she keeps that in mind as she tries to empathize and try to get him out of this hazy-paranoia funk. She is actually concerned about Dib’s mental state for HER to actually tell him:
“Let it go” with no jabs, no malice, and no hidden manipulation motive. It’s like the first time I’ve ever seen her reaching out to him like this and offering him legitimate advice that isn’t sabotage.
It’s the first time I’ve seen her be this sincere with him and you can just hear it in her voice. And I feel Dib knows this, because Gaz’s concern is enough for him to LOOK AWAY FROM THE MONITORS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MONTHS/YEARS/WEEKS!
Like Dib seriously takes into consideration her words. He wouldn’t have looked completely away from his post if he hadn’t, he was just talking about how important he can’t leave his post, and then immediately looks away when Gaz suggests that Zim might not come back and he should just give up. (wonder what would happen if zim was gone… lol. Dib Membrane: Enter the Depression… less interesting movie…)
But you can see him take into consideration that maybe he should just give up….maybe he is gone for good…
“oh wait there he is”
“BWUAAAHHHH!” (i love that noise)
Also, Gaz could of easily not told him about this. I mean Dib was likely to notice eventually without her pointing it out, but she could of just easily been on the side of their Dad here and manipulated him on a path of real science… Nah, Gaz knows by now how important Zim’s continued existence is for her brother by this point. She won’t withhold that info just to be cruel. Remember, Giving up Zim is like giving up videogames.
Honestly, Gaz’s huge reaction to Dib leaving his room is like…. anyone who has ever grown up with a brother or any other prepubescent male family member ever…….. Boys stank. Go live in the tub.
And she actually helps Dib get back in shape… more importantly… take a bath. Cus Dib never has his priorities straight in any instance of his life, so of course, the first thing he tries to do is work out his feeble body… Gaz is like “no. Bitch you stank.”
Jamming out right outside the door so your bro has some sick montage music for his workout. That is so sweet actually. And I really like her little custom “Dib :P “ sticker on her guitar. Not sure if that’s flattery or an insult… probably combination of the two.
Worth noting that Gaz was spotting Dib his entire workout routine. Making sure he didn’t overdo it. (and is totally the reason 100% why Dib didn’t go to Zim’s base as “Swole Dib” Thank Gaz everyone. Saved you from a fate of Swole Dib the whole movie.)
And of course no compliments or nothing, just insulting his coat, and Dib immediately taking it like water off a duck’s back (as he does with a lot of aspects in his life)
You can just feel these two have grown up together. “I AM IN SHAPE I LOOK AMAZING!” “…you look horrible” “CAN’T STOP ME NOW HAVING A GOOD TIME HAVING A GOOD TIME!”
(my abridged dialogue sucks)
This whole scene between them was really amazing. I really love how Dib just casually puts her fist away. Like how he’s so used to her threats by now it hardly phases him. He Even points to it like “put that fist away…no pummeling Dib time right now” Gaz immediately knows that something is wrong and Dib is going to do something stupid and selfish that will ruin Dad’s keynote. (and she right) Like she even knows that Zim is not in typical “Zim” behavior either.
Because while Dib was looking at his father with sparkle eyes of “Membrane-Senpai will notice me!” (Dib is legally a weeb now. I can say that.) Gaz was looking at Zim the whole time. Who is… at the moment…
Um….. yeaah. Out of disguise and a sad lump on the ground. I don’t really think that Gaz expects Zim to do anything. What she does expect is for Dib to provoke him to do something. She even says that Dib better not be the one to ruin Dad’s big night. Dib, not Zim. Dib was the one that brought Zim here and Zim is just kinda a disaster waiting to happen in every single aspect of his life. You can tell this isn’t Gaz’s first rodeo and I feel you can watch ETF without knowing a single thing about these characters. Gaz just doesn’t want to get roped into whatever bullshit is going on between them right now.
This moment has been GIF’d to death but it’s so darn good. That’s the thousand-yard stare that you give your siblings for………..existing. That’s the Cain instinct.
Also, Dib just plain lying to Gaz’s face, her knowing that he is, but deciding to let it go anyways…. and silently threatening him “YOU BETTER NOT… whatever you’re doing…” only for Dib to immediately go behind Gaz’s back the instant she’s out of earshot. It’s not like Dib would have listened to Gaz here anyway, even if Gaz made a more convincing “less angry” sounding argument.
You just really feel their history growing up in every scene these two are in together.
This is the face of someone who regrets trusting you to make a NOT SELFISH decision.
Considering that was the very last thing Dib saw before waking up in a cold sweat with a large time skip……………
It took me only on my fourth viewing to realize this. Like I thought Dib might have just passed out from the shock or something… or Clembrane got them…… but… No… Gaz beat him over the head with her cuffs.
And… hahahaaa. oh god… That’s just too damn good. He deserved it. (why are people saying movie Dib is a baby… he’s pretty awful the first half of the film)
Sure, Dib apologized, But Gaz ain’t having it.
“ZIM BETRAYED YOU, WHO THE FLYIN’ FLIP WOULD OF GUESSED?!?!”
Gaz is just drinking a tall glass of pudding flavored “I told you so”
Note: Dib APOLOGIZED. He like actually rarely apologizes if ever. And he apologizes specifically to Gaz. “Gaz, I am so sorry” It’s the first real sincere apology I hear from Dib’s mouth to her for….. EVER.
Like even in the comics Dib doesn’t apologize to Gaz! The only instances Dib apologizes in the comics is when his life is at risk if he doesn’t. Gaz has to practically beat an apology out of his mouth. In the Taster of Pork he was practically begging an apology only cause he thought Gaz’s life was in danger…
But like here, he actually regrets something that he KNOWS was important to Gaz and hurt her!
It’s like breaking the rule of nature… Grass grows, Birds fly, and Dib never apologizes for the hell he drags Gaz through.
I also really like the contrast of these two in how they deal with Clembrane.
Gaz is used to being dragged along on crazy shenanigans and is usually fine to go with the flow until there’s an opening for her.
Dib meanwhile is so used to wanting to expose Zim, like if something is wrong, he will immediately call attention to it loudly and proudly, even if it’s not the smartest decision. And this method has never worked out in his favor….. ever.
And Gaz just tells him to play along for now, and Dib tries for the most part…. but he can’t just bring himself to call Clembrane “Dad” like she does even if it’s for the sake of an act.
“you tried escaping without me?”
“let’s focus on the now Dib”
Dib actually sounds genuinely hurt that she tried escaping without him, even if this whole situation is his fault and I wouldn’t blame Gaz if she bailed to find out what Zim did to their dad on her own. I mean… she tried to but failed. lol
I also like this whole conversation. Gaz hasn’t forgiven Dib, but they have a common enemy and she does care about her Dad and wants to know where he is.
There wasn’t even a conversation of “You messed up and I hate you but We have to work together….” They just automatically DO. And naturally, slip into those roles.
There was no council or meeting, they just immediately start working together when it sets in for Dib that they’re captive in their own house.
Also another note: Gaz calls him “Clembrane” and Dib just adopts the term and that’s what they call him now.
Gaz actually being very direct in comforting Dib here. “It’s Zim we’re talking about…” It’s very rare that Dib hears that Zim is an idiot from a third party, but sometimes you kinda need that retrospective on others from other people. Not like she extinguishes any of his worries. Like in the show Gaz only felt comfortable to talk about the stupidity of Zim’s incompetence to a stranger Shadow Hog from another dimension.
But she’s actually being pretty direct in her attempt to calm Dib down. She took her dad’s words to heart at the beginning of the movie and is attempting to be more patient and understanding with Dib’s “nonsense”
The faces of two people who were wrong to varying degrees.
Nothing to add, just more of them having similar yet different reactions.
Gaz is like “Well I was wrong this might as well happen.” To Dib just looking on with abject horror at what Zim (and by extension himself) has wrought.
“YOU WHAT?!”
“WHERE’S OUR DAD!”
Again, love their different yet similar reactions here. Dib angry and concerned about the teleportation of a whole planet, Gaz concerned about the safety of one person who matters most to her.
Dib cares about his Dad too (like that’s one of the core themes in ETF) but like you know that boy cares about hating Zim more. Especially for crap like this. (He practically sabotaged his dad’s keynote just so he could make it about him and Zim…comeon.)
Surprised that’s the worst Gaz did to him when she finds out not only Zim betraying him is his fault, but that Zim only got inspired to do this from Dib. (I will talk on that aspect alone one day. Cus I got theories in a bucket for y’all on that.)
But I suppose a Florpus hole is a good distraction to not beat his head to the ground.
(she shoves him out of the way plenty times later throughout the movie, it’s fine)
“It’s been ten years Gaz…..”
“…It’s been two days but yeah”
I just really love this. They’re both miserable and bloated from bad pudding, but it’s obvious Dib was practically force-fed pudding cause he probably wasn’t touching his food and refusing to call Clembrane “Dad” So he’s messier and was fighting every step of the way. While Gaz just looks like she wishes for death.
Also, add this to IZ lore pile to consider: Dib and Zim exaggerate the timeframes of everything (like children are likely to do). So basically any timecard in the series or show is irrelevant.
Like you can tell just by how pissed Dib gets at Gaz just calling Clembrane Dad casually… He has been fighting and being force-fed pudding every step of the way… Dib always fights, he never surrenders he never caves to anyone….
Or…. does he?
Like this the first and ONLY time he calls Clembrane “Dad” in over two days. This is when they’re actually getting the ship together. He is willing to play along with Gaz now. He even gives her a nod to her thumbs up. Like he is actually willing to listen to her advice now for once. Which is significant, because he’s been pushing aside every single good idea Gaz has had throughout the movie.
They have the common goal of getting dad back and he is willing to go with her on this one.
“I see where you’re going with this!”
Dib actually putting more trust in Gaz then he has in the past. She was the one who even got them this far to the ship in the first place, and helped them survive the pudding monster….He is very receptive to Gaz’s plan because Dib’s direct “YOU’RE NOT MY DAD” at Clembrane and “HELP US SHIP! I KNOW YOU HATE ME BUT STOP!” just…. doesn’t work. When Dib’s direct approach doesn’t work, he learns to fall back and trust Gaz’s manipulative tactics a bit more.
GAZ NODS. Like Dib did earlier.
AND DIB THUMBS-UP’S BACK. Like Gaz did earlier.
THE CYCLE IS COMPLETE. THEY ARE IN SYNC.
THEY ARE A TEAM NOW. LET’S. GET. DAD.
(I also really like how Dib says “Clembrane” when they fly away… mocking him like “you aren’t my dad” but just embracing the name that Gaz made up for him)
It’s also worth noting that Dib has been trying to get this ship to fly for an undetermined amount of time (we’ll go with two-plus years) and no matter what he could not get it to fly because Tak’s ship would not allow him to fix it. Again, Dib having a very direct approach. If there is a problem in front of Dib, he will try to tackle it head-on without any support, because that’s just how he’s always done things. The ship is a huge thematic symbol of frustration for Dib. You can have all this great alien technology in front of your Dad’s face, but it doesn’t matter if it doesn’t work. The ship is just a constant reminder of his lack of support from his family…. and The only way he was able to get it working was because of SUPPORT FROM HIS FAMILY.
Mainly: GAZ. Because Dib was only able to get the ship to work due to doing things the Gaz way. Manipulating the ship to actually allow it to be worked on. And they do it in record time too.
And from this point on, they’re a team. Which is why their expressions become more in-sync then previously in the film.
These two have the exact same terrible taste in music. Dib is tone-deaf and is having fun. Gaz is grooving and listening to the actual notes like guitar players sometimes do. These are two who are used to road trips together.
And from this point on in the movie, you can tell they operate on the same wavelength. Even going so far to have a lot of similar expressions. These two are more in sync then they’ve ever been. It’s really cause they have a common goal and Dib caved to take Gaz’s advice for once.
And I want to point out this small detail before I skip over it completely…….
“Normally you crying on the floor would be hilarious but comeon…”
“Why aren’t you telling me I told you so?”
“Cus making fun of you is never fun when you’re this sad.”
“Come on, man.”
“You’re my brother, man.”
“You still just might be good enough for something, Zim”
“I’ve done way worse than throw you in a space prison, This is nothing… get up!”
The same exact speech pattern and same way of comforting…
Membrane Siblings suck at empathy yet it somehow works 101.
Like right down to the same speech pattern and visibly uncomfortable with crying and negative emotions. Right down to the practically bullying way of “you’ve been through worse, get up!” “you might be good for something!” way of comforting.
These are two kids who grew up in the same house with no outlet or emotional support system. It’s moments like this that really spoke to me that made me appreciate their new dynamic. Because they adopt traits of the other when they aren’t together.
My first reaction to Gaz saying “I only torment you cus I know you can handle it” made me say “that’s not my Gaz.” and took me a long time to warm up to this new dynamic.
But like I said, it’s actually really good. Because Gaz expresses herself more articulately then Dib in this film. And Gaz’s dialogue can also be run alongside the scene where Dib is watching Zim have a breakdown. Because it’s really relevant and works as an amazing parallel. (the parallels between Dib and Zim are strong in ETF)
Also paralleling Zim’s depression with Dib’s here is brilliant because it not only shows how much Dib and Zim are alike but how Dib and Gaz are alike. Which means Gaz’s sentiments to Dib are probably Dib’s sentiments to Zim as well, even if Dib didn’t say it as eloquently as Gaz did, the sentiment is still there. Dib attempts empathy and tries to understand how Zim feels. Which he wouldn’t of done if he doesn’t really express a similar feeling Gaz does to seeing her brother sad: “Making fun of you isn’t fun when you’re this sad.”
….Right? :)
Initially, I thought Gaz being nice to Dib here it came out of nowhere, but it really doesn’t if you’re paying attention. It was actually foreshadowed with Zim’s breakdown earlier and hinted at during the Family Dinner conversation she had with Membrane at the beginning of the movie. About being more patient with her brother “He is your brother after all.”
Gaz is more verbal with expressing her emotions then Dib in this movie, which is actually a welcome change than her angrily repressing everything.
It took me a long time to warm up to the idea of Gaz being slightly softer on Dib, but when I realized that this wasn’t out of nowhere and the movie was actually building towards this moment with them, it just paints a whole deeper picture on their relationship then the show ever touched on.
No. I am not sleeping on their family portraits either. Dib is his own family’s cryptoid, he can’t take a normal photo.
I have nothing for this… this group hug is just too cute… I’m all the alien monsters in the back.
The way their eyes light up when faced with alien technology relevant to their special interest… Like them mirroring each other’s expressions just isn’t limited to the times when they’re on screen together.
Underrated moment cause it’s followed by the classic “I’m always proud of you”™ scene… but after everything they’ve been through to get Dad back, Dib actually screams out for Gaz with fear and worry of 1. Might never see her again. 2. She was the only one controlling this part of the ship and the have no one to steer them through space. Obviously, the second fear takes over, because Dib faces things head-on, and immediately tries to find a way to fix this problem, by reaching out closer to his dad. I just thought his scream out to her was a moment to appreciate.
Yeah… cus really… Dib thinks he lost everything at this moment. He’s out for Zim’s head.
………………See? There’s that ham again.
I know I made a whole analysis post on the Ham, but like aside from that, remembering the Ham was a “gift” of sorts from Gaz, it just furthers my point that they are operating on the same wavelength. Even after the ham was like shoved in his face, Dib like… kept it anyways. I know it’s all for the sake of a joke an anticlimatic payoff, but it also shows how the events of Enter the Florpus really strengthened their bond. Dib doesn’t question the ham, just throws it to Gaz, and trusts her plan, which is ultimately:
GOOD WORK TEAM!
Gotta also call attention to the fact Gaz admits when she’s wrong at least two times in the movie. Which is like never in the show cause ShowGaz is like never wrong. I actually kinda like it. Feels more in-line with typical sassy kid behavior. You’re always right until you aren’t.
I think this is the moment where they decide wordlessly what they need to do about Clembrane. It’s worth noting that this is the first time Zim says “Destroy the Membrane Family” It’s not just Dib anymore. He wants his whole family dead. Because Dib got his whole family involved. And that’s kinda sinking in for both of them too.
And we get a combination of their techniques with how they deal with Clembrane. Dib the direct: “YOU LEAVE CLEMBRANE ALONE!” Gaz, trying to appeal to Clembrane’s emotions: “It’s the best pudding I’ve ever had in my life” (granted with an accent….. which I think is either a callback to her being on Tak’s ship, since she talked like that or Zim’s computer admitting he does accents when he’s bored sometimes…. it’s one of the weaker callbacks.) and it’s actually a combination of their techniques that work together to get them in possession of the moose.
Dib is at the table. Gaz got Dib to come to Dinner. Which we all know was phase two all along. Getting Dib to come to dinner was the plot. Conflict resolved everyone.
If anything, I kinda think maybe Dib learned a little bit from his sister that sometimes the most direct method is not always the best one, and Gaz learned to be a little bit more patient with Dib. At least, for the most part. As much as IZ characters can have proper character development. The themes of family in ETF are really clear and the parallels are even clearer. Comparing the shot of how closer Dib’s family is compared to how alone Zim is at the end of ETF is heartbreaking.
So it’s obvious that Gaz and Dib kinda became closer in away after the events of ETF. Nothing like saving your dad from space prison to bring a family closer together.
And… there was just a lot more to appreciate about their new dynamic that I initially hated at first. Cause there is a little stubborn edgelord inside of me that wanted Gaz to be way meaner then how she was in ETF.
From the interviews I’ve seen on ETF it almost seems like Johnen is ashamed of how one-dimensional Gaz was in the show. Even Pilot Gaz, in her earliest incarnation, seemed to be more active in the events then Show Gaz. Having read the comics after the movie, I can safely say I do like when Gaz is a more active participant in the shenanigans rather than some angry roommate who occasionally beats Dib up and dishes out vengeance. ShowGaz was really relatable in her brutality, but I can really understand how shallow her character can appear in the grand scheme of things. And I’m glad Johnen took the time to develop her more.
As I said, the Sibling Rivalry of fighting for Professor Membrane’s affection could have been played up a whole lot more, but I think it was smart to keep the conflict focused on Zim and Dib. Having Gaz also be too angry at Dib due to Membrane development-related reasons would just kinda screech the plot’s breakneck pace to a halt.
Invader Zim is first and foremost a comedy show. I feel adding raw family drama between Gaz and Dib would not have served the themes, story, jokes or purpose. (but that’s why I have my fanfiction/mini-series to actually explore that aspect of their dynamic seriously)
So long story short: Gaz and Dib’s relationship as siblings is a fairly complicated one. I do like ShowGaz for her brutality, but ETF Gaz just seems like she has a lot more going on for her as a character. It’s safe to say that I think Gaz might have matured a bit in the time it took Dib to become a chair. She definitely grew out of her “hate everything” phase. Dib still has a lot of growing to do, but at least you don’t see him snatch pizza right out of his sister’s hands. (that we know of…)
But honestly, if you want the best dynamic between these two:
Read the comics. I’m dead serious. It’s a rare case that the best iteration of Gaz is actually in the comics. Equal parts brutal, funny and involved in the stories. It strikes an amazing balance of a lot of aspects of her personality and hits all the right notes for me, personally. Peak asshole sibling culture is here.
This rant thingy took longer then I expected, but Gaz and Dib’s dynamic had a lot changed from the show and I felt it was worth talking about my thoughts on how I see them now, and what you can kinda look forward too with my upcoming comics about them.
Disclaimer: This is all based on my research, path, opinion & experiences! Intro: I really was holding out on doing this post because it’s such a big, important topic to cover and I really don’t want to mess it up or get anything wrong. This post needs to be done though, people have asked if I have such a post and an anon suggested it. So finally, here it is. - What Is Warding? Warding is a type of magick, it is the act of creating an energetic barrier around you, your home, an object, ect. They can be temporary or permanent, although typically they are cast with the long term in mind. They can banish or turn away whatever you choose. Warding is an excellent skill to have because it can keep you, and even others safe and with practice you can do it anytime with just about whatever you have on hand. When Should I Ward? Whenever you want an energetic barrier around you, most people consistently ward their home, themselves or their place of practice. Some people even ward their space every time they prepare for a spell. It should be done consistently in any area you want protected, but exactly where and how often is entirely up to the practitioner. What Should I Do Before? Cleanse, a ward is a barrier of energy and in the same way that it keeps things out it also keeps things in. You don’t want to trap anything inside of it. Cleanse yourself before you ward yourself. Cleanse your space before you ward your space! Tips Before You Ward- Phrasing Keep the phrasing in mind! You don’t want to keep anything out that you want in, or let something in that you want out. If you’re chanting or using sigils ect keep in mind exactly what you want to keep out both in your methods and in your mind. Covering everything Make sure to cover everything, a ward is useless if there’s a weakness in it or if the ceiling & floor aren’t probably covered. Be super thorough! Layering Your Wards One small little wimpy barrier? Ha, the spirits say as they scramble into your home to wreak havoc! You need to layer your wards, don’t just use one method one time, there’s no such thing as too much warding. What Are Some Ways That I Can Ward? Now we’ll get right down to the methods you can use to ward yourself and your space! Remember that warding is important and needs to be effective, don’t try anything that you don’t have experience with for warding. At first, focus on the stuff you know. If you like sigils, use sigils at first and slowly work your way into using other more complex methods or methods that solely rely on your abilities. Circle Casting You cast a circle by summoning the four elements to protect & energize what is in the circle. - Here’s my post about circles & how to cast them Chanting/Speaking Come up with a protective chant you can use to ward your space. This chant could be someone else’s or your own as long as you feel it’s effective. Speak it aloud and visualize a layer of energy protecting your space. Incense Burn a protective incense in the space you’d like to ward and visualize a barrier protecting your space. Athame Draw out the line of your ward with your athame, visualize the wall appearing, covering everything with a thick layer of energy. Spraying Spray a mix of blessed/magickal waters and or herbs with protective properties in the space you want to ward. Sigils Create a sigil using your favorite method with the intent to “ward” or “protect/protection.” Then charge and activate it as a layer of protection! Here’s my post on sigils if you’re interested in that: - Sigil Post Jar Spells You could mix up a jar spell for warding, set it in your house and forget it as a layer of warding. - My protective jar spell post Anointment Anoint the doorways of your space, you could also anoint the ceiling, floor, walls, corners, honestly go for it. Salt Sprinkle salt all around the edge of your home or space. Make sure to sprinkle salt on the INSIDE of your harm as salt can harm plants & wildlife if used outside. If you’d like to make a barrier on the outside of your home, you can use dried & crushed eggshells in place of salt. - Post on how to make eggshell powder here - Hag stones Hag stones are stones with holes in them that have been corroded into the stone because of rushing water. It is believed rushing water is protective & cleansing so if you wear a stone that sat in it long enough to have parts corroded away, that the stone will maintain and keep those properties with it. It’s a great way to personally ward yourself, and an excuse to go out in nature. They look like this!
Energy Manipulation If you’ve got a knack for manipulating energy, you can create a barrier through work and visualization that surrounds yourself or your space. This isn’t recommended for beginners though! Links: - Horse Warding Charm By @anothersusurrus - House Warding Spritz Mixture By @seleneblackwell Both of these are great if you’re looking for specific spells, types of magick, correspondences, sigils, ect! - Protection Magic Masterpost Part 1 By @auricwitch - Protection Magic Masterpost Part 2 By @auricwitch Personal Wards Also remember not just to ward your space but yourself, if you layer your home with wards, what happens when you leave? Exactly. Keep yourself safe too! Circle casting & hag stones are great methods I mentioned above that are good for personal warding. Can I Ward Specific Things And Not Others? Absolutely! I mentioned this in the phrasing section of this post, keep in mind exactly what you want to keep out when you’re warding. I like words like “negative” or “harmful” or “with ill intent” because they don’t necessarily keep out the Fae or positive/neutral spirits but it does keep out anything that wants to harm you in general. Just think about it ahead of time, find wording or a phrase you like and keep that in mind as you ward. What If I Live With People? If you’re out of the broom closet, explain to your family/roommates what you’re doing and why you’re doing it and make sure they’re cool with it and are aware of what’s going on. If you’re not out of the broom closet, you may have to resort to only warding yourself/your room, & that’s okay! I hope this helps someone or teaches them something new! Enjoy! Have a lovely day 💖
Just a little thing. I didn’t put too much effort into this lolol. And I didn’t get all the sins in there either, but hey! Yandere scenarios for five of the seven deadly sins!
Warnings: yandere, suggestive content, dark themes
Bakugou (Pride)
Anyone that would deny that Bakugou was the best of the best was a lying, jealous pissant. His quirk was the quirk to have, one that had more uses than any of those wannabe, loser mouthbreathers he called his classmates. On top of that, Bakugou was strong, fast, agile, and his stamina was certainly something to write home about. There was no doubt in his mind that he was going to make it big in this world; everyone else either wanted to be him, fuck him, or fight him, as it should be.
So when Bakugou told you that the two of you were going out, and you told him that you certainly were not, he’d nearly lost his shit. What was wrong with you? Were you blind? Clearly there was something wiry with your head if you didn’t know that you should have been honored that Bakugou even spared you a second glance! Maybe you were just ignorant. It could be that you just weren’t aware of Bakugou’s splendor– as unlikely as that was, he’d simply have to give you a reminder. After all, he couldn’t expect someone so cute to be smart, too.
He’d show off more in front of you, making sure to blow your mind whenever your eyes found their way back to him during training exercises. He’d be sure to best any other guy he’d previously seen you talking to, so you knew that it was clear that he was better than any of them. If that didn’t grab your attention– it was amazing that it didn’t– he’d have to start getting a little more aggressive. He’d knock into you more often in the halls, making sure to help his little mouse collect her things when they’d scatter everywhere. Of course, he wouldn’t apologize for the incident; if you weren’t such a klutz, you wouldn’t be having these issues.
Touchy, touchy. He somehow managed to get the two of you paired up during hero training more often than not, and boy was that his time to shine. He’d use every opportunity to grab onto your body, whether it was to “detain you”, or “save you” didn’t matter. He’d have his hard cock pressed against your ass either way, just to make sure you knew what you were missing out on. He’d relish that fact that he could make your cheeks darken after hardly any effort.
Bakugou would eventually come to the conclusion that you didn’t dislike him, you were just being a stuck-up bitch. He’d really just have to make you admit it, behind closed doors, with you underneath him, pinned down, helpless, and unable to deny just how great Bakugou really is.
And hell, he’d show you that he wasn’t prideful for no reason.
Shinsou (Envy)
“You can’t help what your heart longs for…”
It hurt… It was never supposed to be this way. It was never supposed to be you advancing onto class A, leaving poor, unfortunate Shinsou in the dust. He was just as capable as you, moreso even… when he put his mind to it. It was just that you had yourself a flashy quirk. You were lucky. He was not. The world was unfair, and it hurt him.
For awhile, Shinsou wanted to stay rueful of you. He didn’t want to have to watch you advance, or gain attention from both your peers and hero agencies, or become friends with other “gifted” students that also didn’t know how lucky they were. He didn’t want to watch, but he couldn’t help it.
He wasn’t able to look away when you were wowed and wooed by the pathetically squirrely antics of none other than Izuku Midoriya, the kid who stunted Shinsou’s chances to be seen as something more than he was all those years ago at the sports festival.
What an ugly, creeping feeling crawling its way from Shinsou’s ribs to his shoulders as he watched Midoriya’s lips move slowly, less than an inch away from your ear, sharing secrets that made your body flush. He felt like he was drowning, wanting so badly to know what Midoriya had been whispering, what it’d be like to feel your blush radiating off your skin because of something he said, or how it’d feel if he was the on you smiled for after brushing your hair around your ear.
This wasn’t right. It was better when he felt disdainful because of you. Now he had to deal with these impossible feelings of wanting… needing… coveting…
What did you see in Midoriya that made you so blind to Shinsou? Was it his energy, his looks (come on. him?), or just the fact that he’d been born with an exceptional quirk, one that would easily make him a hero? And why was Shinsou suddenly so invested in who whispered into your ear? He no longer knew whether or not he was jealous of Midoriya, or if he was jealous of you, but he was certain that this longing would not be satiated until he did something about it.
You could never understand what it was like to yearn for something so badly, but never quite have it in your grasp. He’d try to explain to you… after he took you (honestly, you were far too trusting. Probably because you’ve never been in any real situation where you had to question your judgement), but you wouldn’t listen, even when he’d have your mind washed so you were no longer screaming or cursing at him.
Shinsou had the drive to take things when the world wouldn’t serve him his desires on a silver platter. He took you, but you didn’t love him yet, so he’d just have to keep taking things from you until you did: your first kiss… a surprised gasp… a wistful sigh… a drawn out moan… He’d continue take and take and take, until everything you had besides your quirk was virtually his, and after that, he’d continue to take until you understand that longing ache he had for you, and to be a hero, and to be more than what people made him out to be. By this time, he didn’t even want anything that wasn’t you anymore, but until you and him were on the same page, he wouldn’t stop. He wouldn’t stop until you longed, and you craved, and you wanted, and when you did, he’d have you, so he’d have everything, and the tables would turn.
…Until he decided that it was Midoriya’s turn to be green with envy.
Hawks (Gluttony)
Please pay attention to him– he’d only ever wanted to impress you.
It was mating season for bird thots everywhere, which meant it was time to get a little bit flashy… Baby Keigo didn’t grow up with a whole lot, so you couldn’t really blame him for becoming a bit of a hype beast. He collected all the newest garb, bringing it all home to show it off to you. If you, his precious little bird didn’t want to act like she cared, well, that was fine, right? That just meant… he had to bring you more stuff: pearl necklaces, new Adidas, boxes of chocolates, a nice throw. He certainly couldn’t get you a phone or a computer because– ha! He wouldn’t want you calling anyone for help or anything. But would you… if you had the chance? Why would you when he took such good care of you? The idea that maybe you weren’t playing hard to get, and instead just didn’t like Hawks… after he brought you all this stuff? It kinda stings, babe!
Thinking about that would put him in a bad mood and you don’t want a grumpy bird thot on your hands. He’d hoard all the stuff he bought in his little comfy nest he made for the two of you, chirping all about all he had to go through to get you these things, only to have you be your regular spoiled and standoffish self. Oh yes, he’d be entirely too quick to play the guilt game. Manipulative? Maybe. Charming? He sure thought he was! Incredibly annoying? To you, absolutely. You’d just have to give him the attention he so desperately wanted if only to stop all his crooning.
You’d have to sit next to him, tell him that you loved all that he’d done for you, stroke his feathers, feed him some of those chocolates– hold up! Ohhh little chickadee, please don’t you stop stroking those wings. Originally, he wanted to spoil you, but baby angel, you made him feel so good. This was definitely on purpose, right angel? You wanna show him that you wanna be with him? You want to love him? It doesn’t matter at the moment, just— just please don’t stop touching him!
You made his body hot, and those beautiful, angelic fingers felt so incredibly soothing as they wove through his feathers. But be careful baby girl. You’d gotten yourself in a bit of a pickle; the more you pull your hands through his wings, the more you’d be telling him you want to mate with him, but the instant you pull away, he would, without a shadow of a doubt, jump your bones.
He really couldn’t help himself. He was a glutton for you, babe!
Midoriya (Greed)
If you give a mouse a cookie, he’s gonna want some milk.
What was Izuku Midorya’s cookie? That simple smile his bunny sent his way.
Oh, how… adorable it was. The first time you’d smiled at him, his belly filled with so much warmth and he got this tingling feeling that followed him throughout his entire night. Midoriya didn’t know what it was that did him in about that gentle regard, but he did know that he wanted to see it again. The same fuzzy feeling he got returned to him every time he collected another one of your smiles, but it wasn’t as all encompassing as it had been the first time. Midoriya wanted– no, needed more, just to get the same pleasurable feeling back, if only for a second.
More.
A brush of the hands, fingertips to fingertips, your touch was precious to Midoriya. It was exhilarating whenever he got to touch you, whether he was passing something back to you and he let his fingers linger on you for just a tiny bit longer than was entirely necessary, or in shorter bursts when you slapped his hands when something good happened. That time you playfully grabbed his hand and pretended to read his palm– how you looked up from at him while your fingers traced his “love line”, Midoriya realized that touching you was at once, both everything and not enough.
More.
Why couldn’t this be enough? Why wouldn’t he ever be satisfied.
At first he thought that he could wait– spend his time working his way up to a kiss, and from a kiss, something more, little by little, but his darling moved far too slow for that. It wasn’t that his bunny wasn’t worth waiting for, but your pace was excruciating and Midoriya spent too many nights with a roaring ache in his loins, you stuck behind his eyelids. He pictured you running your hands over his bare chest too many times not to make that a reality.
More.
When Midoriya finally got to kiss you, he wouldn’t stop there. It could never have been a simple peck on your lips that only lasted a second– one that would have you turn away with a blush until you eventually ran away, all cute and bashful like you were. No, Midoriya would have to slip his tongue in between your lips, and he would have to ignore how your beautiful, warm body tensed when his finger tips slid from your cheeks to your neck. It would have to be a kiss where Midoriya could lodge his knees between your legs, hold you close, and swallow your pleas with more kisses. Again and again and again. Your soft lips against his. He’d keep you to himself, your body would be his to roam over, his to mark up, and his to touch, and kiss, and love until you have nothing left to give.
And then he’d take more.
Because Midoriya would always be greedy for you, and you were not supposed to give cookies to mice.
Aizawa (Sloth)
If Aizawa was weighted to the couch, you were also weighted to the couch. There was absolutely no getting up allowed on days that he had off. If you weren’t caged in underneath the erasure hero, his arms would be wrapped around you at all times, holding you tightly, offering you nothing but lazy kisses whenever you protested or tried to wriggle away from him.
He’d have mounds of blankets piled on top of the both of you, creating a snug little prison for you, and a cozy paradise for him. Nothing was better than having you pressed up against him– no other responsibilities besides making sure that his little kitty was comfy, secure, close, and protected.
He’d order takeout and enjoy feeding you by hand, loving it even more when he could lick or nibble any food that he’d “accidentally” get on you while he was at it, and he’d gently massage your scalp while your laid your sleepy head on his lap. He adored the cute, little noises you gave out when you were on the edge of sleep, so he’d keep you there, in that state, rubbing your head, back, and ass to get you to drift to sleep, and kissing your neck and shoulders to keep you awake.
Even the way he fucked you when you had days like these was more than a little lazy. He’d turn you into a little sushi ball, all tucked and rolled up in your blankets with nothing but your legs exposed. He’d lick your pussy, but only enough to get you wet and wanting, and mount you when you were bound and powerless, ready to take anything he had to give. He couldn’t help but cum inside of you when he finally got there; pulling out would only be a bother– a mess he’d have to clean. Besides, with your face all cute and red when when you got hot and bothered, he probably wouldn’t be able to resist claiming you like that whenever he had the opportunity.
He’d always cherish these slothful Sundays he could spend doing nothing but loving his little kitten.
A glamour spell to appear more noticeable & confident. It also encourages self love, which will help you appear more confident. This is all based on how I do magick, and my opinion. What You Will Need: - A jar - Moon water - Rose (Any form will do, use a carrier oil though if you’re using essential oils!) - Lavender (Same thing as above, any form will do) - Cinnamon - Pink glitter (Optional) You could also use anything else you associate with love, power, confidence, healing, beauty. This is just what I used. Steps: Place all items in the jar, move your hand in a circular motion (clockwise) to mix it up a bit. Then place it somewhere, and forget it. Let it do its thing. In Addition: You could carry this around with you, or place it near an object to allow it to attach its energies & properties onto that object. You’re done! I hope someone does & enjoy this spell. Have a lovely day 💖
Just some pictures I took from my vacation.
So I came up with this great idea for a fake beard using fiber mascara and I realized there were no tutorials out there for this already. So I made one myself. It works really well and is very realistic!!
here are some links to some fiber mascaras as well as the type I used (I’m sure you guys can find one at a cheaper price though)
here is the absolute best crossplay makeup tutorial I highly recommend it
I’m so sorry for my handwriting I did my best I swear
