Me infodumping about my hyperfixations to people who know nothing about them
Just wanted to say if you are anti-endel, anti clinical lycanthrope/zooanthrope, maybe this isn't the best page for you. I may not be any of these but I suffer from delusions due to psychotic features with my depression and part of why I identify as holothere is for this reason.
No, I am not saying that I am against you advising others to get mental help if they want to, but I am against these types of creatures being excluded for something they can't entirely control. So if you are anti-endel, or anti-clinical lycanthrope/zooanthrope, then my page is not for you.
i need to be out in the woods so bad im gonna explode
Okay this but also when humans start demonizing and killing others of my kind, yeah I get pretty fucking pissed. Just let native animals live their lives! Quit messing things up with your own willful ignorance!
I can't even get mad at humans saying absolutely fucking braindead things under videos of mustelids (and animals in general) because at this point I'm amazed at their stupidly.
How do some humans go day to day being so incredibly dumb and clueless about literally any other species around them? Humans really don't deserve to be called the most "intelligent" animal lmao.
Hello, have question regarding changelings. What qualify as one? Have be fae? Am not human, am dragon winter spirit, made look like human and raised by, but know not real parents. Resonate lot with last post, and even other things read about changelings, so made wonder if can be called one, if is "broad term" for nonhuman creatures exchanged/replaced at birth, or if is more specific to species or something similar.
@winter-cub
I don’t think there is an exact definition to changeling. We’re not exactly a species but more of a category of creatures swapped for human young. For me personally the fae aspect is a big part of my changeling identity. However, I don’t see why another creature switched at birth couldn’t be considered a changeling. I think if the stories of changelings really resonate with you, then you could use the word to identify yourself.
It is actually completely valid to feel saddened and frustrated by how nonhumanity and therianthropy have been reduced to masks, quadrobics, and tails. It’s an extremely personal experience, and now all we get is this same type of content over and over again that feels like roleplaying and dress up. It feels so synthetic and strictly made for others, and it’s fine if you’re mad at the lack of actual experiences and talk of actual nonhuman feelings that aren’t just “I wanna go home to the forest” “look at my mask/paws/tail” “managed to do this quads jump today”. I don’t believe that that’s the only time you feel shifty. I don’t. And I want to hear more about your daily experiences about your nonhumanity, how it affects you, what makes you euphoric. I want back originality and actually talking about your experiences that aren’t conventional and the same with everyone (as much as they might be similar in the general nonhumanity aspect).
While I don’t often get the phantom sensation that you describe, I do sometimes feel this little twinge of energy inside me around large hawks or mustelids. It’s a bit of instinctual panic. I too have a worry that predators will see through my disguise.
For the most part I don’t feel like a prey animal, but there are times (especially around certain predators) where I am acutely aware of my place as a small part of the ecosystem.
Fellow small herbivores/prey, when passing past a large dog or whatever seems like a predator to you, do you sometimes get a phantom sensation of said predator biting into you and carrying you in their mouths? Makes me wary to walk too close to large dogs at times, and zoos not to mention.
I can almost feel the teeth in my abdomen and gravity working against me, takes me by surprise most of the time.
I'm lucky i'm a lot larger than most members of my species but instinct doesn't know that; what if the dog sees through the disguise and rushes at me? (takes a step back)
If I created a discord server for alterhumans, one that is very inclusive of transspecies identities, IRLs, clinical zoanthropes, physical identifying nonhumans, etc etc; would anyone be interested? I've noticed a severe lack of alterhuman/nonhuman spaces on discord that tends to exclude the aforementioned beings - they tend to only focus on therianopathy (which isnt a bad thing) it'd also be 15+
(sorry i'm a different alter that forgets tings within 0.1 s) Not sure how much of this is aplicable to you as a fae changeling; but have you ever wondered: What would happen if the human infant were to be randomly be switched back in by your fae ancestors? What if like me; you are more ok as the opposite human glimmer sex and transition the glimmer and then switch back out for the original human infant? (or any equivalent) We generally as fae lack common human empathy but it's still entertaining to ponder the concept of "what if" the human infant were to return to whatever we did to the glimmer perception of them. Sorry if this makes little sense i'm fronting as an alter we aren't usually and i can't formulate things as well as the others.
I think this is a really interesting thing to ponder. I’ve never wondered this before. I don’t actually know if I can even answer this at the moment since I am currently severely lacking in the empathy department. I will try to give a better response when I have thought more about it.
I intend to modify my glamour quite a bit, so the idea of the human being swapped back in is very entertaining to me. They would surely be surprised at the very least.
No need to apologize, you worded your question well.
