HOLOTHERE

[hol-oh-thyr / hɒləʊðɪr] from greek: "holo-"=entirely ; "ther"=animal,beast noun

1. A self-identifier term for individuals who are physically and fundamentally nonhuman in every way.

"I am holothere, i am and was born a selkie" "I am a bear holothere, but i also have a theriotyope so i identify as a therian when it comes to my non-physical animal aspects."

Holothere was created in the lack for an actual term for physical nonhumans, regardless of whether they consider their physical species a result of delusion(s) or don't experience them at all. It is meant to help those who are physically other find each-other and unite, in a way, under a term. _____________________________________________ NOTE that holothery does not inherently describe transformations, or the ability to transform. Some might, some don't and simply exist as they are; the term holothere only describes individuals who are nonhuman in every sense, not the ability to teach becoming nonhuman.

"Holothere" was made to be distinct from therian, otherkin and alterhuman communities and terms, although one might also have non-physical identities and view themselves as both therian/otherkin and holothere.

I wish I could accurately draw what I look like under my veil- the true me. I don't have the creative ability to do so and it makes me sad.

(sorry i'm a different alter that forgets tings within 0.1 s) Not sure how much of this is aplicable to you as a fae changeling; but have you ever wondered: What would happen if the human infant were to be randomly be switched back in by your fae ancestors? What if like me; you are more ok as the opposite human glimmer sex and transition the glimmer and then switch back out for the original human infant? (or any equivalent) We generally as fae lack common human empathy but it's still entertaining to ponder the concept of "what if" the human infant were to return to whatever we did to the glimmer perception of them. Sorry if this makes little sense i'm fronting as an alter we aren't usually and i can't formulate things as well as the others.

I think this is a really interesting thing to ponder. I’ve never wondered this before. I don’t actually know if I can even answer this at the moment since I am currently severely lacking in the empathy department. I will try to give a better response when I have thought more about it.

I intend to modify my glamour quite a bit, so the idea of the human being swapped back in is very entertaining to me. They would surely be surprised at the very least.

I think this is so interesting and now I really wanna hear more about the ways different people interact with animals. ​I have many pets and have always been a very animal-obsessed person so I wanted to add some thoughts.

Personally, I’ve have found that the neurodivergent people I know (myself included) tend to personify animals much more than is usual. For example, when I get a new animal it takes me a while to “become friends” with them. (Which is basically just us getting to know each other/getting into a routine.) But everyone I’ve met has always been very confused by that.

Another weird thing is I’m not super empathetic towards people, but with animals I’m hyperempathetic. And I’ve seen tons of other neurodivergent people express this online! It’s such a strange thing I love it!

the cool thing about working with animals is that I have one singular neurotypical colleague (as far as I know). and it’s become super obvious to me that the way autistic people relate to animals is fundamentally different to how allistics relate to animals. and the way people with ADHD relate to animals is fundamentally different to those without. 

(only one of my colleagues has Tourette’s and only two of us have OCD, so I don’t think that’s enough to make any grand sweeping statements). 

anyway. a real interaction between two of my colleagues today.

ADHD: Maggie won’t stop barking at me. I think she’s upset.

autistic: let me go talk to her. I can fix this. 

and that’s not uncommon? my autistic colleagues and I seem to talk to the animals to a much greater extent than anyone else. my ADHD colleagues and I seem to be the best at associating the correct name and breed and dietary requirements to the correct dog, which is weird, because I can’t do the same when it comes to humans.

I know that most people communicate with their animals but… it’s different in a way I can’t quite explain. the communication and connection seems so much deeper… I don’t know, it’s just wonderful. also, the fact that so many ND people work with me… that alone… indicates something.

EXACTLY!! Or (in the case of snakes) it’s to make them feel “safer” when in reality snakes want nothing to do with people!! Let them do their work in peace. Not to mention snakes are often beneficial to humans anyway… grr just makes me irritated how stupid humans can be.

I can't even get mad at humans saying absolutely fucking braindead things under videos of mustelids (and animals in general) because at this point I'm amazed at their stupidly.

How do some humans go day to day being so incredibly dumb and clueless about literally any other species around them? Humans really don't deserve to be called the most "intelligent" animal lmao.
