Small General Obey Me Headcanons

Characters: Lucifer, Mammon, Leviathan, Satan, Asmo, Beel, Belphie, Simeon, Solomon, Diavolo and Barbatos

CW: A bit angsty in each person's parts, nothing too severe, relationships are kept neutral.

Authors Note: I believe I've seen a few of these prior and just absorbed them without realizing- also me projecting onto the brothers. Under a cut due to post length.

Lucifer

He has dyscalclia, and struggles when it comes to doing math and looking at numbers. He's too prideful to admit it though. It's why paperwork and work tends to take him so long- causing work to pile up.

After the fall, Lucifer would find himself wandering the halls, and would sneak into his brothers rooms to make sure they were okay. He'd been caught multiple times by Levi, and learned to be quite good at playing Mario (or the Devildom equivalent) games because of it

Lucifer has another credit card entirely and purposely adds money for Mammon to spend, especially if he thought he was being to harsh on Mammon.

He prefers to be dressed entirely, because clothes cover the scars from where his angel wings used to be.

Mammon

He's way smarter than he lets on, he just knows his brothers have incredibly difficult lives and he wants to take any pressure that he can off of them- even if it makes him the butt of their jokes.

He's incredibly skilled at math, engineering and fixing things- he was quite focused on cars and racing for a while (especially since gambling on them make quite a profit).

Mammon may be greedy, but he often buys small gifts for his brothers and manages to sneak it to them.

Mammon traces over his pact marks when he gets nervous, it helps to ground him if he begins to panic.

Leviathan

Levi's obsession and love for Ruri-chan came from a place of self hatred after becoming a demon.

Levi used to have a mini tub for Henry to swim in as well, but changed it to having a tank so he could fall asleep watching Henry swim around.

Being the Navy's general makes the ocean incredibly calming for him, he will come by Devildoms rivers and oceans and just stare at them at times to relax.

Levi absolutely buys double of almost every manga or anime in case his brothers want to watch it- and he has certain ones saved his brothers in the hope they ask.

Satan

When learning about human culture before the exchange program, he became oddly obsessed with late 2000 Disney movies and would binge watch them when he had the time.

Satan will find synopsis' of Levi's animes and would write fanfictions of them- especially if Levi complained about the ending or way something was done.

Although Satan did have a majority of his Wrath directed towards Lucifer, he was the first and only one of his brothers to learn about his dyscalclia, and has sworn to secrecy about it to protect his brothers pride.

Satan was (and is) a D&D nerd, and has false books full of dice sets for "emergency sessions".

Asmo

After the fall, they got weirdly obsessed with clouds and the sky, and would find places to just watch their beauty, his go to with any partner is to compare them to the beauty of the night sky.

A really good big brother to the twins, used to buy pillows that were "in style" for the twins - ended up getting Belphie the cow print pillow he always has before he was banished.

Every so often they mentally fight to not get piercings. They want some- namely a nose piercing, but don't want to "run the risk of tarnishing their perfect face" if it didn't turn out right.

Asmo has a strange ability to tell what size someone's clothes are- and always manages to get matching sets that fit someone perfectly.

Beelzebub

Beel has super good rhythm, and plays music surprisingly well- especially on the drums!

Beel got into sports to physically tire him out after the long days- it eases his nightmares to tire himself out to such an extent.

He's incredibly comfortable to lay on, there's been quite a few times that Belphie comes over and flops against him to nap.

Belphagor

He got oddly obsessed with musicals, especially since it gives him inspiration for dreams. He's particularly fond of Heathers.

Love language is choking plushie buying, especially if he knows it's something his partner cuddles up to.

He sleeps during class but somehow passes almost perfectly.

If he somehow struggles with sleeping, he goes to Satan to listen to him read.

Simeon

Simeon makes it a mission to better understand technology and makes gifts for those who help him.

Simeon grew a slight obsession with humanity after and during the exchange program- often finding himself wishing he would've joined the brothers in the Celestial War.

Simeon holds study sessions with Luke and often invites Barbatos and Diavolo to talk over tea and sweets.

Solomon

Absolutely covered in markings from his pacts, they travel from his neck to his ankles- and when he starts trying to concentrate he traces over the ones that travel down his arms.

He developed multiple relationships in the Human world, but grew to cherish friendships over romantic relationships.

Has a large collection of Grandpa slippers.

Diavolo

Loves sharing his clothes, especially because he likes seeing how his friends (and partners) look in more royal suited clothes- and likes seeing how his clothes swallow them up.

He grows incredibly attached fast- especially given that his only friends were not usually friends with him of their free will.

He finds sitting on the castles' roof and staring up at the sky relaxing- it makes him feel like every other demon and shortly lifts the weight of being the future king off his shoulders.

Barbatos

Listens to music when cleaning the palace but refuses to tell anyone what's on his playlists.

Accidentally set Diavolo on a rampage by giving him pickles- insures that pickles are banned in the castle from that point forward.

Once managed to pin Satan during a wrathful episode- every one agreed to never talk about it, himself included.

Obey Me! HC that I don't think I've talked about before (?)

You know how the brothers have two different "forms" or "modes" that they can freely shift between? Their normal form (that we see them in most often) and their "demon form/true form" with all the bells and whistles, like horns and wings and tails and everything?

I like to think that Cerberus has a similar thing going on.

Mostly, I disliked the idea that Cerberus could be confined to the Underground Tomb at all times. I know that it's never explicitly stated in canon to be the case (and some Daily Chats have talked about taking Cerberus out for walks or giving him baths) but it is at least implied that he generally lives down there.

So I have a HC that Cerberus also has a "normal" form and a "demonic" form that he can switch between at will, and that he spends most of his time in his normal form puttering about the House of Lamentation like a regular old dog.

His normal form is still distinct from that of a human world dog. Like if you look at him it's still immediately obvious that he is a Hellhound, but he's significantly more manageable than he is whenever he's in his "true form"

Firstly, he only has one head. The other two heads manifest physically when Cerberus shifts into his true form, similar to how a demon's horns and wings/tail only appear once they're in their demon form. This alone immediately makes Cerberus much easier to care for.

He's still really big. Like he's at least the size of an adult Mastiff or Great Dane. He also still has plenty of demonic qualities, like red eyes and a forked tail, etc, and he resembles a wolf in appearance more than he does a domestic dog. But overall he's much easier for the Demon Brothers to handle, and he can actually live in the HoL normally like any regular dog would.

And then when it's action time, or whenever there's danger/an immediate threat, Cerberus shifts into his "true form" just like the Demon Brothers do. And that's when he becomes the great, monstrous, three-headed hound that we're all familiar with.

Idk, this is just a little HC that I've had for a while now and I realised that I'd never really posted about it. It's something I came up with on the fly while writing one of my OM fics, because I wanted to use Cerberus in a handful of scenes but I couldn't reasonably write him into the story without writing around his massive size and terrifying presence (since the scenes didn't call for it) and it's a HC that's stuck with me ever since, lol

You sometimes wonder if the demons end up in your room at night because somehow they know that you no longer prefer to wake up alone.

Ever since you started living at the House of Lamentation, you have gotten used to finding one or more of them there with you. A friendly face, a gentle touch, the warm body of someone who cared for you, someone you cared for in return.

They all arrive in their own unique ways.

Mammon, who always crashes through your door so easily during the day, sneaks in quietly at night. Most of the time he doesn't wake you. But if he does, he gets flustered and starts to leave until you ask him to stay.

"Of course ya want the Great Mammon to stay with ya," he says. Even in the darkness, you know he's blushing as he says it.

If you whine with nightmares, he'll kiss your head, pull you closer, and whisper that it'll be all right. And instantly the nightmares dissipate.

You never have nightmares when Belphie is around, either. He shows up in your dreams himself, fighting off the terrors with an energy you never see in him when he's awake.

He'll snuggle up to you any time and any place, but most often he finds you at night. He's impossible to disturb, even if you kick him in your sleep. You sometimes wake to find him in strange positions.

Asmo always rearranges him if they both end up with you on the same night.

"You won't get quality sleep like this," he says. "And you need quality sleep if you want to have quality skin!"

When he's alone, Asmo will come in only to stare at you fondly for a while. You know he never intends to stay. It's just a little peek at his favorite sleeping human. But then he finds he can't tear himself away. You'll wake up with his lips pressed against your cheek, as he always wants to kiss you in his sleep.

You sometimes have dreams about eating something, but in the morning you find it's because Beel was there having a midnight snack before falling asleep beside you. He likes to hold you close, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you against his chest. You wake up in the middle of the night sometimes because it feels like being held by a furnace.

Although these are the brothers you wake up to most often, you'll find the others come around sometimes, too.

Satan will crawl into bed with you directly, without hesitation, but you know he's embarrassed about the need to be next to you. He'll hold you tightly, like he's afraid to let go. If you ask him what's wrong, he'll tell you, but it's always muffled because he's pressing his face into your neck.

"I'm irritated and I can't calm down enough to sleep," he says. "You always… "

You brush your fingers through his hair soothingly. "I know," you say. Because you do. You know that your presence relaxes him in a way nothing else does.

The ever elusive Levi only stops in when you're alone. He won't join any of his brothers and half the time, he's still awake in his room, binging anime or gaming into the wee hours. You pretend to be asleep if you know he's lingering outside your door because then he'll finally come inside.

He'll stand there and look at you, like he's just dropping in for a moment. He tells himself he'll always leave before you wake up, but that never happens. You deliberately shift yourself to be inviting, creating a space for him beside you. If he's here, he likely needs to rest, to shut off his mind for a little while, to indulge in his desire to be close to you when no one else is around. He blushes the whole time, but he does crawl beneath your covers and rest his head on your chest.

And then there's Lucifer.

The other brothers are constantly going in and out of your room. They have gaming competitions there and movie marathons. Sometimes they gather to do homework with you. Sometimes it's only one or two of them. And you always find one sleeping beside you.

Lucifer rarely takes part in these activities. He's always holed up in his office, working. He waits for you to come to him.

But every once in a while, you'll wake to find him kneeling beside your bed, his hand in your hair or resting on your cheek. Like he came in to check on you and couldn't resist a soft caress. His presence inevitably wakes you. And if you reach out, if you grab his hand, if you hold onto him, he'll give in and stay.

His most vulnerable moments are when he lies down in your bed beside you and lets himself run his fingers along your skin. He'll kiss your forehead and your eyelids, a tender gesture that speaks volumes.

And every morning, no matter who is with you when you wake, you find yourself next to someone who loves you. It becomes your favorite way to start the day. And somehow, every demon living in the House of Lamentation is aware of this. They make sure you're never sleeping alone.

sal fisher

-probably had gums or mints on him constantly, he has to constantly smell his breath in his mask so he keeps it fresh as much as he can.

-has definitely used sharpie on his nails before, stopped after ashley got him nail polish for his birthday one year and hasn't gone back.

-sal is so definitely a scab picker, larry probably yells at him when he catches him picking at scabs when they hang out, he's looking out for his friend and doesn't want it to become a bad habit.

-sal has a few extra face masks his friends designed individually for him, some of them just being painted on or sculpted, one of them was just covered in stickers, he loves all of them and has them up in his room.

-has caught his own cat playing with his fake eye more than once when he couldn't find it in the morning, those mornings it did happen he would have to wash it off before soaking it in solution for a while, sometimes going to school without it, after the second time, he got replacement eyes for when that happened.

-tried an edible once with larry and freaked the fuck out and hasn't tried them since, larry still feels bad seeing him in that state (larry had to babysit him that night)

-i can't decide whether he bites his nails or he has long healthy nails and clips them weekly, they both work🤷‍♀️

-has almost shit himself at one of the sleepovers where sal slept with his mask off, he turned over as he woke up taking a moment to remember who was next to him since he's used to seeing his mask 😭

-always wanted a cat growing up but his mother was super allergic so whenever he's at sal's he's loving up on gizmo and ofc gizmo loves the attention.

-he loves being a canvas for ashley's makeup practice not to mention the cursed pictures they have gotten while the makeup process happened.

-he wanted to learn guitar but did not have a single musical bone in his body to actually play instruments, so sal started learning guitar for him (larry is so tone deaf it's so funny when he tries singing along to ashley's music which consists of musical soundtracks).

-he's such a pin and bottle cap collector, he has jars of them, ashley and maple also got him into tiny living and started collecting small furniture and little things.

I don't know if this counts as a headcanon or not but it's still a thought and I looove sharing my thoughts with strangers online so here we go 🧡✨🫶

So, Lucifer's canon dynamic with his brothers + MC is “they're annoying and a handful but I still love them and I would die for them” yeah? He's undeniably soft for them and is willing to go to unthinkable lengths to protect them and I love that. However, I think we can do better.

Lucifer chose each of his brothers + Lilith to be a part of his found family in the Celestial Realm, yeah? And no one forced him or anything, he just chose to be an older brother for seven younger angels. I don't know if the brothers were ever canonically children, Satan was born as a whole ass adult canonically but shut up he was a baby IN MY HEART so anyways;

Doesn't that technically mean Lucifer was actively looking to be a parent/parental figure? Just imagine Lucifer gathering up all of these younger angels and putting them in his pocket like a kangaroo to raise them, gush about them and dote on them. And maybe after the Celestial War, he heals by taking care of baby Satan.

After decades of parenting, however, all of his brothers are independent and he has no idea what to do with himself when he isn't taking care of someone. He spends time with Diavolo but seeing Barbatos dote on the prince strikes a cold and undeniably crushing envy within him. So instead he turns to work, chores around the house, Diavolo's requests and turns it into a routine. It's depressing but at least he's doing everything that's needed to be done perfectly. That's what he tells himself anyway.

When he and MC grow closer, he doesn't say it out loud but he treats them exactly how he treated his brothers when they were children. He teaches them about the Devildom, makes sure their meals are planned and to their liking, actually quits overworking to help them with their homework, fixes their uniform when it's ruffled up and more. And maybe his brothers act like they're annoyed with him for stealing MC away so often but they're secretly glad he finally looks like he has a reason to be there again. Like he finally broke out of a trance he's been trapped in for years.

I like to think that one of the lessons Aizawa taught class A is "always have a knife".

You never know when you'll need a knife so never not be in possession of a knife. As such every member of class A has a knife hidden somewhere in their hero costumes. His gift to them when they graduated were custom engraved knives with their student number on them.
