Oh my god wait. What if the blessings of the gods manifested physically? Like if a god takes an interest in you, EVERYONE is going to see it, for better or worse. And if you lose their favour? Everyone can see that, too
Jason with a peacock tail and feather-crest, both of which go faded and limp when he turns on Medea, so that they drag on the floor and get in the way
Pollux with eagle wings instead of arms, so Castor acts as his hands and that’s why they’re inseparable. When Castor dies and Pollux splits his immortality with him, they each get one arm and one wing, so one can’t fly without the other
Odysseus with a forked tongue and fangs—a subtle feature that he can hide when he needs to. When Athena feels like being helpful (like when she disguises him as a beggar) she’ll cast an illusion over it, but Penelope immediately recognises him by his lisp
When Athena gives Diomedes the blessing of seeing through the gods’ disguises, he also gets owl eyes and the ability to turn his head 180 degrees. This helps when Odysseus tries to stab him in the back on the Palladium heist
HERACLES WITH BULL HORNS. I have nothing to add I just think that sounds sick as hell
Helen grows beautiful golden feathers instead of hair. Nothing useful, just an obvious sign of her heritage that adds to her appeal to the suitors: whoever wins her hand gets to walk around with a physical symbol of Zeus’s favour
Atalanta with antlers that snap when she gets married, leaving jagged shards behind that won’t go blunt and can’t be sharpened down. She can have her husband, but he can’t touch her head without risking badly cutting himself. This can either be one final blessing or a curse depending on how consensual you interpret the marriage
Hector has pristine white raven wings, making him even more terrifying to the Achaeans, flying into battle like divine intervention, and a symbol of hope for the Trojans. Achilles plucks the feathers off his corpse, but they won’t stop growing back. Still, Achilles has a cloak made from them and wears it into battle, turning Troy’s symbol against them
Paris gets dove wings, but he tells everyone they’re too small to fly with because he’s a coward and doesn’t want to have the same responsibilities as Hector. Then he flies away from the duel with Menelaus in front of the entire army, and that’s when Troy finally loses what’s left of their respect for him
Winged Ody anybody?
Ody is told that he is needed somewhere only to enter the palace where the princess is like:
How Aphrodite usually pranks/pranked Ody?
Trying to set him up on dates/situations where a romantic or sexual encounter might occur
She is SO invested in his love life like to an unreasonable level of OBSESSION
For the original God Odysseus what's your version of his backstory?
I have few ideas but I'm not sure which one would be treated as the main one for the story until I have the entire plot and timeline planned.
1) Similar to the one with Poseidon where Laertes while sailing with Argonauts makes a deal that ends up with Anticlea's pregnancy.
2) God takes interest in young Odysseus' and gives him ambrosia so they could be together but Ody never wanted it.
3) Hermes has baby Ody and to make sure he isn't noticed too early by Zeus he has him raised by Laertes and Anticlea
There are a few more but those are the most planned ones.
What if Poseidon wants to make Ody's experience in the human world miserable because he's in love with Ody and he wants to marry him.
I have a little mermaid au in my head
Odysseus can figure out what most human stuff does or is for. He is smart. But some stuff he is like WTF IS THIS?!
He 100% bribes Eurylochus into letting him look around ship wrecks with the idea that he might finding something pretty to give Ctimene
Polites enables Ody's obsession with the human world
After rescuing Penelope. Odysseus now wants even more to go on land to learn about humans and he thinks she is the prettiest girl he has ever seen.
A cover for my Hector/fem!Odysseus fanfic
I hope you'll enjoy this story of a love entangled in the tragedy of war.

Let's hope he at least pays child support now hahaha
Does Hermes change after the entire Ody situation or does he still sleep regularly with mortals?
He stops for like a few years but then 100% starts up again
I read this passage and I can only imagine one thing
Diomedes:
Hector on the outside:
Hector on the inside…:
Bonus with Hector's reaction anytime there's a male specimen near Ody
Giggles
Hahahahahaha!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🫶🫶🫶🫶
You are absolutely right hahahaha
Diomedes was just happy to be included while Hector was secretly beefing with a kid hahahaha
My old sketch from Ocean Deity!AU
What Ocean Deities AU is? Well!! Here are links to posts explaining what this is:
Explanation of the concept, Odysseus, Penelope & Telemachus, Attempts at the plot, Development arc
How much do you think god or Titan Odysseus affects greek mythology if at all?
How does Telemachus find his domains?
What abilities do you think Diomedes would inherit upon becoming a deity?
Titan Odysseus would not affect Greek mythology too much. He is one of those gods/titans that you fear about but they are rarely active in stories of other people. (Like the greek god of riches for example.)
He would have a few stories involving gods like Apollo or Ares that were unable to do their job because Ody was too close to them or a story or two about a mortal/nymph who tried to seduce Ody only to be cursed by Penelope.
Telemachus finds his domain during his travels with his parents. He finds traveling people who had a problem with setting up their camp. Telemachus helped them by helping them find a shelter and creating a campfire that would survive a night. Travellers gave Telemachus a flute (which would become his symbol) and some food as thanks and they spent the rest of the night exchanging stories and playing music together. Telemachus was able to calm down stressed travellers and aided them, that way he discovered his domain.
I'm still not sure what type of god Dio would become so I don't know.
So, has god odysseus (Poseidon son) met any of Poseidon's other children?
Most likely. He is probably aware of most but he only meets those he sees as not too aggressive. For that reason he isn't interested in meeting younger Cyclops. He met Bellerophon and they were rather chill together.
Ody doesn't really seek them but if he stumbles upon them he will always spend an hour or two talking or playing games.
