Qualms and ferocity

Chapter one, growing a bit and joining the other raptors…

Lily’s POV

‘To think it’s been about 3 years since I hatched and I’ve barely grown into a juvenile! Anyways, I’ve been living with Hammond and Wu since I hatched, which has caused me to be there when other dinosaurs hatched, for instance they’ve hatched all 7 Rex’s and have set them free… I’ve also seen so many of the other dinosaurs be released onto Sorna, like some very hostile baby velociraptors who didn’t notice me, some compy’s and some other dinosaurs that I don’t really need to mention. But all this time I’ve been allowed to stay with Wu and Hammond even though I’m a dinosaur, they both treat me as they have since I was first hatched but more doting I guess? It’s weird but I guess since I’m not hostile they have somehow seen me as a dog or a cat who just plays, I know I shouldn’t be still in here but they haven’t wanted to let me out to mature in the wild of Sorna, they both have been talking about it, the reason they say I can’t is because of the serum for enhanced growth not taking an affect on me, but I guess it’s better this way since according to that conversation I should be able to live longer naturally’ I thought while curled up under Wu’s desk.

Third POV

“Wu! You need someone to help you with making the dinosaurs, or at least someone besides me to help keep the place clean and up and running!” Hammond said, “I understand that but we should wait until we can get both the T rex and Lily to Nublar, we need to move the other dinosaurs for the park as well! Not to mention what new hires will think seeing Lily! You could very well be shut down before you even have your lawyers look over this…!” Wu exclaimed, “And we will move them! But Lily stays with us until the raptors are moved in! And don’t worry everyone who will work at the park or here will be screened and sign NDA’s before getting a debriefing about what to expect” Hammond replied, Wu nodded before going over to Lily and picking her up, “Lily is the only non-hostile dinosaur we have hatched here, are we really sure she can mellow the raptors if they take her in? Because the other raptors should be all adults by now and we can’t be sure if they’ll even accept a juvenile into their pack…” Wu says, “yes, I’m sure they will at least take Lily in, I don’t know if they will mellow out even slightly, but either way this needs to happen, Lily has only really been around us and she needs to be socialised with others of her kind, I know she looks different to the other raptors for some unknown reason but they will recognise she’s one of their species… I’m confident about this” Hammond replies, Wu sighs, “at least she’s also easy to distinguish from the other raptors, but yeah you’re right, she’ll be fine and this’ll be good for her… but what about her preference for cooked food? And won’t you miss her and her company?” Wu says, “we both will miss Lily but she needs this… plus I don’t think she’ll stop being like this…” Hammond says pointing at Lily who’s purring in Wu’s arms.

Time skip 6 months, Moving day

“Have the Rex and the raptors been moved to their new paddocks?” Wu asked while sitting with Hammond in a helicopter, “yes, and all systems are up and running properly” Hammond responds, “and are you sure that taking Lily to Nublar with us on the helicopter is a smart idea?” Wu says while looking at the juvenile velociraptor sitting between the two of them, “I’m sure it’ll be fine, I mean we’re over halfway to Nublar and Lily has just sat here purring, so it’s fine” Hammond responds, “okay but remember me and you have to personally take her to the raptor paddock to introduce her to the other raptors, and we have to make sure they tolerate her at minimum…” Wu says, “yes I remember… also since when were you suddenly such a mother-hen to Lily?” Hammond says, “as if you aren’t also?” Wu replies with a raised eyebrow, meanwhile Lily wasn’t really listening to them and was instead looking at the beautiful sight of the ocean and the island their about to land on, she calls gently to catch the attention of both men, they replied by petting her and looking in the same direction to see the landing pad, “hold on tight! We’re landing!” The pilot says, all three hold on as much as possible, and they land without a hitch.

People come to great both Hammond and Dr Wu, then the people notice Lily and suddenly become deathly quiet, “S-sirs, why is there a dinosaur with you?” A worker says while stuttering, “this is Lily, the first dinosaur to come back from the dead, she’s still a Juvenile and she’s very docile so don’t worry” Wu says, which confuses the people present besides the pilot, Wu and Hammond, “I will confirm that this is the truth, would anyone like to pet her?” Hammond says, everyone who’s still there doesn’t say anything until a woman in her early twenties comes up and hesitantly puts her hand out to pet Lily, as she starts petting Lily she expects Lily to bite her, instead she stares in amazement as Lily purrs happily, “she’s so adorable! Are all the small dinosaurs like this??” The woman asks, “no sadly, she’s truly one of a kind, she’s been like this since she hatched, she’s also a cuddle bug” Wu says softly so only the woman and Hammond can hear, “thank you for letting me pet her, I will go continue my work now” the woman says before leaving, everyone else also leaves the three to go do their jobs.

Wu and Hammond take Lily and set her in the back seat of the car before getting into the front, they then start to drive to the raptor paddock, when they arrived they both get out and gently grab Lily.

“It’s time to let Lily be with other raptors… we can always come visit her and take her out when we aren’t busy, but this is for the best…” Hammond says, Wu nodded before opening the maintenance door to put her in…

Lily’s POV

‘I knew this was going to happen and I’m still scared… I’ve only been alive In this body for less then 4 years, I really hope that the big one or their pack let’s me live…’ I thought before chirping gently at Wu who was being the protective glass.

“I smell a new raptor… and a human?” A raptor said calling its pack mates while coming towards me, ‘I hope they don’t kill me’ I thought, then suddenly they were here, there was four of them looking around before spotting me, “I thought you said there was an older raptor, this is a juvenile raptor!” The biggest one exclaimed, “well apparently he was wrong alpha, but look at this cutie, aren’t they cute-” a female raptor said before she suddenly gets cut off, “I swear they smell like an older raptor! Can’t you smell it?” The original male raptor said, “hush Titus, it’s a hatchling and you were wrong for once” another female raptor said, “whatever Quin” Titus responds, “enough bickering you two!” The ‘Alpha’ said, the two nod, “what’s your name sweetheart? I’m Kat” Kat says, “hi… I’m Lily!” I replied happily as they haven’t tried anything yet, “they have never sent a raptor as young as you in before, did they take you from your pack? Or were you hatched recently with the humans? Sorry if this is a bad question sweetheart” Kat asks, “…neither” I replied, “neither?!” Kat says, “I’m confused, what do you mean little one?” The ‘Alpha’ asks, “ah, I hatched quite a while ago, I’ve been with the humans for a long time, if that makes sense?” I replied quickly, the Alpha nodded while thinking, “how long has it been since you’ve hatched sweetheart?” Kat asked, ‘eh, I don’t really think it matters if they know the truth’ I think, “3 or 4 years ago” I replied, this shocked all 4 adult raptors, “??? How is that possible??” Kat asks, “i think the humans said it’s because something messed up before I hatched and so I take longer to grow up” I said hoping they buy it, all 4 nodded before I suddenly get picked up gently, “we’ll take you to the rest of the pack so you can meet them and get used to living here” the alpha says.

Y/n and the Sully kids

You were five when Neteyam was born, you automatically became the caretaker of him once Neytiri and Jake saw how much Neteyam liked you and how you looked after him, you were young but were always good with him.

When Lo’ak was born nearly the same thing happened but he was more clingy towards you, then Kiri got adopted shortly after and also would cling to you like her little life depended on you.

As all three started growing up around you, they all decided that you were going to be protected by them because of how you looked, you were so innocent looking that you looked way to young as if you were younger than them, this kept happening until even after Tuk was born and up to when they had to leave to go to Tonowari’s clan.

You guys all landed together with a crowd forming around seven of you, you got your tail touched gently by Ronal, “Eep!” You say as you jump slightly like a cat, this caused a reaction from three of the Sully kids, “y/n are you okay?” Neteyam asked looking at you, “are you hurt??” Lo’ak asked frantically pulling you to him slightly, “y/n what happened?” Kiri said lovingly, they all did this at the same time, “Child why are you with them?” Ronal says making you turn to her in shock, “I’m a family friend, I’ve been with them since the oldest was born basically” you state confusing Ronal, before she could ask anything else her Husband reached the group causing her to smile at you and then turn back to herself when she walks to her husband, you then got ushered between Neteyam and Lo’ak making everyone look at you for a while including Tonowari and again Ronal, then when everyone got back to topic you zoned out for abit.

“Y/n they’re leading us to my family’s marui come on” Lo’ak said bringing you out of it, you followed and sometimes got look’s from people in the village, Ronal then came to the marui the sullys and you are now occupying to talk, once inside she sits, “okay child why are you with the Sullys?” She asks nicely, “oh sorry I thought I answered this before-” you say before getting interrupted, “ah funny for you to ask, she’s been a close friend to the family since our oldest Neteyam was born” Jake reply’s confused, “wait she has? She looks so young compared to your oldest and middle kids!” Ronal states baffled, “she was five when Neteyam was born” Neytiri says before continuing to unpack what she could, this confused Ronal even more but she was kind of happy, y/n seemed so innocent to her but also like a good influence for her son, she got up and left but not before smiling and waving at y/n who waved and smiled back, maybe you could be friends with her son, who knows….

Y/n and the sully kids (pt 2)

It was time for the sully kids to be taught the ways of this clan.

You guys were learning how to ride ilu’s, some had better luck than others, “you’re not doing half bad forest girl” Aonung says to you a smile tugging at his lips, “thank you” you say happy to be getting along with him even slightly, “y/n would you like me to teach you how to breathe properly?” Aonung asks, you nodded smiling softly at him, “that would be lovely thank you Aonung” you say, Aonung looked away as to hide his face that flushed slightly, this earned looks from the sullys and his sister.

Time skip

You were walking by yourself in the village, people waved at you smiling while you passed, this confused you but you smiled and waved back happily, then you were spotted by Ronal, “ah! Y/n there you are!” She states with a small smile, “I wanted to talk to you” she says, you nodded and followed her to her Marui where her husband and kids were, she shoes her kids out so it’s just you, her and Tonowari, “how are you liking it here so far sweetie?” She coo’s, “i-it’s wonderful” you reply, “good good, I wanted to ask you how my son Aonung treats you” she says, “oh- he treats me wonderfully, he’s a great friend to me, but he doesn’t get along with Neteyam, Lo’ak or kiri that well sadly” you say, “I’m glad he treats you well, now you are of age right?” She says much to her husband’s surprise, “Ronal she looks so young though!” Tonowari stated confused, “hush you!” She says shushing him, “ah- yes that is correct! I’m five years older then Neteyam” you state, Tonowari looks dumbfounded at you now making you giggle a bit, “good good, Please consider Aonung as your mate! I would be honoured if you were his mate” she says making Tonowari snap out of it and look at you, then at his wife, then back to you, “wait you want me to mate- with your son??” You reply starting to flush, just then people barge in, one of them picked you up and ran back out, after the shock went away from the ordeal you looked at who was carrying you, it was Neteyam, you blushed even more out of embarrassment, “w-what’s happening? Why did you take me from there??” You asked confused, he stayed silent as he slowed down to a stop, soon his siblings met up with the both of you, “ok y/n is here with us away from them.” Neteyam said getting smiles from Lo’ak and kiri, “what’s going on?” You ask still confused, “well we all caught on that each of us was trying to set you up with someone so you could have a mate, we are not letting you mate with anyone unless we confirm they are good for you” kiri says in response, “wait what!! You decided to play match maker??” You asked starting to giggle, they all nodded in response, you stop giggling and sigh, “thank you three for looking out for me but I’ll be fine” you state getting nods in return, “now I’m going to go back and apologise to Ronal!” You state now leaving after giving them a smile.

You apologised to Ronal and then went about your day without any further hassle.

As you and Wriothesley only continued to stare at each other, Neuvillette and Furina suddenly walk back in. Both of their faces were stern as they looked at the both of you. But mostly you.

“Monsieur Wriothesley? We apologize, but me and Monsieur Neuvillette have some… pressing matter to discuss. Treats, toys and pillows are inside their pack. Please care for our ˈbābē in this sudden absence. We will retrieve them in a matter of hours. Thank you.” And with that, Furina and Neuvillette left, leaving no time for objection.

You watched as your three friends dissipated, and the duo walked out. Wriothesley was only able to open his mouth before the door shut again. He closed his mouth and turned to you, who shrugged.

His eyebrows raised at you before he blinked once.

Then twice.

Then three times.

“Do you… do you like tea?”

When Sigewinne entered Wriothesley’s office she was not expecting to see around thirty teacups (all empty) around The Creator in the form of an otter with Wriothesley sitting beside them with a wide grin of his face.

“Sigewinne! Meet Neuvillette’s and Lady Furina’s new little Otter friend! Did you hear of them?”

Oh yeah. Sigewinne had heard all about them. From all the melusine. Constant reminders of how cute they were compared to that fake on the throne. Constant stories of how adorable they acted compared to the awful actions of that monster who acted as their God.

To see them in the flesh was… a visceral feeling honestly. And being a melusine herself, she could feel the ethereal aura surrounding them. Shaking her head, she smiled at the older man and nodded.

“Oh I’ve heard some things here and there… have you been testing teas with them?” She mused, a joking smile on her face.

“… I didn’t know what else to do,” he admitted, “I didn’t want to make them do my paperwork..”

She giggled before getting an idea, and idea that had her face scrunched up in an even wider grin.

“What if… we try milkshakes?~”

“Sigewinne.” Was all he said.

As they began a small back and forth about the logistics of given an Otter a milkshake (Wriothesley was losing), you got up from your seat, took a small toy that looked vaguely like a melusine with the same colors are your fur, and just… waked out the office. Ready to explore.

“Uhm… Sigewinne?”

“It could very beneficial to their health for all we know-“

“Sigewinne?”

“I mean, have you even see an Otter consume a milkshake? I doubt their lactose intolerant-“

“Sigewinne.”

“And I… yeah?”

“Where did they go?”

“…. Uh oh.”

And you, at that exact moment, realized why you probably needed a map. Wondering around, you hadn’t realized how many levels you were going down.

You had been trying to get to the Coupon Cafeteria. How in the actually fuck had you ended up in the forbidden zone, in front of the gate that held the Primordial Sea.

What the fuck.

You hugged your melusine plushy closer as you stared at the plug.

And then an alarm sounded off.

After knocking curtly and hearing a quiet “Come in”, she gently pressed open the door, yet spoke with urgency.

“My apologies for interrupting, but the Primordial Sea. It’s causing issues again.” Chlorinde stated.

The hydro duo looked at each other, they had been no where near done with the conversation, but their darling was in the Fortress of Meropide, where the ocean was being.. dealt with.

“Let us begin on your way then.” Neuvillette sighed.

“Damnit damnit damnit damnit…” Thats all that was going through Wriothesley’s head at the moment. He had sent Sigewinne away to ensure her safety, all while running through the Fortress, all the while making sure to keep an eye out for a stray otter.

His mind flew through the possibilities: you could’ve been caught in machinery, you could’ve fallen off a ledge, you could’ve been snatched up by a criminal on a walk…

There were to many all to possibilities that would lead to him finding your body over you alive.

And if things were going the way they were with the Primordial Sea, then Furina and Neuvillette were going to be back a lot sooner than any of them expected.

And he was not ready for what the punishment would be.

But when he finally got down to the correct level?

He knew his punishment was going to be even worse than whatever they were initially going to do to him.

Because your little body sat in front of the loudly beeping seal before the Primordial Sea.

Fuck.

Honest to god when you saw Wriothesley just appear out of thin air, you weren’t shocked. To be entirely honest you hoped that you’d get to see the whole fight against the Sea with Neuvillette! It was gonna be so cool!

You snuggled against your melusine plushy again as you watched Wriothesley rush towards you, gently pick you up, and move you out of the way.

“Alright, here you go… just have to make sure you don’t get in trouble…” He muttered as he at you down, out of the way. You mentally groaned at this but stayed put. You’d still be able to watch from here, you supposed…

And as soon as Wriothesley walked but over to the seal, Neuvillette, Furina and Chlorinde all deceased from you forgot where. You began clapping quietly and lied on top of your plush, snuggled up and ready for action.

You couldn’t really hear their voices, but then…

The seal exploded!

You watched with bated breath as they fought against the raging Sea, and your little tail began to wag at the sight.

Perhaps you had picked up a love for the show from Furina…

You watched the moves they pulled, the fights they put up, everything was glorious!

That was…

…Untill Neuvillette faltered.

You were confused.

Wasn’t he the one who stopped it in the cutscene? Why wasn’t he able to do it now? What was happening? Was the fear on his face? Why was there fear on his face? Why was everyone stepping back? Was…

Was Furina crying?

You jumped up from your hiding spot, rushing across the floor to the shock and fear of everyone.

Your top hat flew off and your melusine plush fell out of your mouth.

You heard shouts your way but you didn’t give a shit.

This stupid water wasn’t gonna hurt your new family.

Not on your watch.

…

You jumped into the water.

…

Over the rushing waves you could hear Furina scream.

…

It was…

Almost soothing…

As Furina screamed and cried the only thing on Neuvillette’s mind was if you were going to melt away.

If you were going to dissolve in those star studded waters.

‘It would be fitting.’ His mind mused. ‘For the brightest star in his life to flicker out surrounded by stars as well.’

Furina fell to her knees. Why?

Why?!

WHY?!

WHY DID EVERYTHING SHE WANT HAVE TO SLIP FROM HER FINGERS LIKE SAND ON THE OCEAN FLOOR?! SWEPT AWAY BY THE TIDE SHE COULDN’T CONTROL?! WHY WAS SHE FORCED WITH THE MISFORTUNE OF NEVER BEING ABLE TO HOLD ON TO ANYTHING OR ANYONE WHO MENT ANYTHING TO HER?! THIS WASN’T FAIR!

IT WAS NEVER FAIR!

HOW COULD THIS EVER POSSIBLY BE FAIR!?!?

And as Furina cried, Wriothesley looked on with a blank face on.

But his mind was a whirlpool of emotion.

Your sudden sacrifice… it reminded him slightly of his past. Of his teenage years.

Of the murder of his foster parents.

How he put his life on the line, knowing full well that it could be the end of him, as long as his siblings would be fine in the end. That he saved everyone he could.

That’s what you had just done, wasn’t it?

But Chlorinde…

She was shocked.

She watched as her Archon screamed and cried, as she slammed her fists into the ground below, as Neuvillette allowed a tear to fall from his eye (she had never seen him cry before now), as Wriothesley stared on, grief and longing in his eyes.

Just…

Just what had you meant to them?

What had you meant..?

What… could you have meant to her..?

…

The water was cold. Cool. And the stars shimmered in a way where they were bright, but not enough to hurt your eyes.

You couldn’t see outside the water. But it seemed bioluminescent. The brilliant blue lighting up your vision with the stars.

You swam gently. The current was slow.

You placed a paw on your bow tie. It swayed with the movement of your body.

You felt something deep inside you.

…

The Primordial Sea.

She called to you.

She cried that her creations feared her.

She just wanted to be whole again. While with her children.

But you told her that she couldn’t.

They were scared because they were their own people now.

They had become their own.

If she were to become whole again…

They would die.

She wept.

She did not want them to die.

But she had to become whole. They were still apart of her.

You told her that soon she would understand. Her tears would no longer be wept out of sorrow, but out of delight.

She didn’t understand. You told her she soon would.

Where you swam, she followed, like a duckling to her mother.

When you went up, she followed. When you went down, she followed. You went left, so did she. You go right, so does she.

You tell her she must go back.

She understands. But she warns that soon her sorrow will consume her once more and she will come again, wishing to have her children rejoin her.

and you tell her that you will be there to comfort her once more. And you will be there until she understands.

She understands.

…

Furina’s cry’s stop. She looks to the water, which has ceased its movement.

It begins to swirls around them, breaking off into pieces that form diffrent creatures of the sea.

From creatures of today, to long lost beasts of times forgotten. They swirl around and around the room, playing and tumbling over each other. The grin and make the happiest noises with one another.

Before diving back into the seal.

Only an Otter of starry water remained, and it dropped between the teary eyed Dragon Sovereign and the crying Archon, chittering and chirping. Picking up the top hat, it places it in hydro god’s hands.

It’s form splits. Duplicates perhaps..

And there you stood.

Their ˈbābē.

Her raison d’être, her preux chevalier, her ange.

His moitié, his raison de vivre, his trésor.

The only difference being your once wide black eyes,

We’re now filled with all the stars in the sky.

Furina gently placed the hat on your head as you walked up and nuzzled her face, licking away her tears.

You then walked back to the Primordial Sea Otter, missing Furina’s out reached hand.

You both nuzzled against each other, making chittering and chirping noises, rubbing up and down each other. After saying your goodbyes, the Primordial Otter waved, running and jumping into the seal, it closing up after her.

You rushed back to them, picking up your plush on the way, and got picked up by a still teary Neuvillette, whose breath was shaky and broken.

You gave him kisses as well, chirping up at him.

All those in the vault - after Furina had stood - crowded around Neuvillette.

Hands were ran through your fur and you took it all lovingly, understanding the scare you had just given them.

Looking towards his Lady, they had a mental conversation, before Neuvillette sighed.

“Chlorinde, Wriothesley. Me and Lady Furina have something to tell you.”

I think I went a wee bit overboard… but meh ໒꒰ྀི´ ˘ ` ꒱ྀིა! Hehe, I hope you guys enjoyed!~ And honestly, the Primordial Sea I have envisioned (personified) and she’s… kinda hot ngl- Darn my Mommy kink!- ૮꒰ ྀི >⸝⸝⸝< ྀི꒱ა

I’ve found out a lot about this new world I’m in, like the deity Eywa… after learning about her I’ve been able to feel her around me… I don’t know why I can it’s just something that started, I have learnt how to speak like my clan now, I could understand them before thankfully but I had to learn to speak it properly, i still speak Japanese and English when I’m alone to make sure I can still speak it incase I need to.

“*I need to train my quirk, my body should be able to support it… hopefully*” I said, “*let’s try a small explosion*” i mumbled, I opened my hand and concentrated to make sure it was only a small explosion… “*yes it worked!!*” I nearly yelled out in happiness, “Katsuki h-how did you do that thing with your hand??” My brother said tapping my shoulder, “and what were you saying?” He said watching me, “….it’s a thing that allows me to do some stuff that others can’t do… also I was learning a language incase I need the knowledge of it one day…” I say my ears drooping, “please don’t tell anyone!!” I say hoping he doesn’t, “ok I won’t tell, but can I also learn that language??” He asks with puppy eyes, “thank you Aonung! I’ll start teaching you tomorrow!” I replied. We spent the whole day together I showed him more of my quirk as well when he asked.

Time skip…

The horn blew when they landed… they definitely weren’t from our clan or any nearby, they were absolutely beautiful… especially the one that seemed my age… he’s gorgeous… I somehow missed everything happening beside watching the guy… until now.

“My children Tsireya, Aonung and Katsuki will teach your children our ways and will now lead you to your new Marui Jakesully” my father says, I nod and head over to Tsireya and lead them with her…

On the way the youngest bounces on the path and looks at me, “you’re like dad!” She states pointing at me, making the rest of the Sullys gasp, “you’re also part sky demon?” The younger son asks, “I’m sorry what is a ‘sky demon’??” I ask since I never really got an answer before, “*Human*” Jake replied making me stop in shock that he knows English, “*you speak English as well?*” I asked now reaching their Marui, they all gasped at me, “how do you know that language??” He asked leaving a my siblings confused, “am I not allowed to know it?” I ask confused, “you really shouldn’t know that language…” he says now dragging me inside his family following, my siblings just left to go into the water, “*the only way you could know the language is if someone taught you…*” he says, “*I taught myself how to speak this language…*” I state, “*ok… so you’re an avatar… how?*” he says, “*I was just born this way why?*” I reply acting confused even if I know the answer… “*you’re existence confuses me greatly Katsuki.. you’re name isn’t a Navi name…*” mrs sully says looking at me, “*that’s because it isn’t really*” I state looking back at her, “*you are strange Katsuki… also I swear your name is familiar but I don’t know why…*” Jake says, “*in due time things may be revealed? I guess? Anyways I’ll leave you all to unpack bye!*” I state leaving…. “that was really awkward… I think I’ll go for a swim now….” I say jumping into the water.
