When I first found out about starlight express it took me way too long to realize that Electra wasn’t a girl.

Like I saw the London Electra and the old colorful Electra and figured “yeah seems like a chick to me”

I just watched the illegal sequel to Starlight Express and

WHAT (╥︣﹏᷅╥᷅)

What did he do??

So the plot of it is that after the championship they think Rusty cheated so they go again. Pearl isn’t his love interest anymore and she’s really out of character, she’s like super mean for no reason but whatever.

Anyways, everyone originally there can race BUT Greaseball so his brother Pacific Blue(who isn’t blue, he looks exactly like Greaseball with the same costume so uh, maybe they’re twins?) races instead. Rusty races with this new pink girl who I don’t remember the name of, but she’s exactly like Pearl. Rusty and her win the race and they all do a dance and stuff.

I’m very confused on like… everything. I don’t want to make fun of amateur performers so I won’t be talking about the costumes or the singing, but the music was very weird. It was like… mid-2010s radio music which isn’t Starlight Express AT ALL.

I also just don’t get the plot? Everything would’ve been the same if Greaseball raced and Pearl and Rusty were still together(except GB would have a different race partner) but they added in these new characters for no reason. They don’t even have new personalities or look that different, they just exist to exist.
