“But where do we find new cool and handsome boys?”
Lara jean and Peter + being domestic as fuck.
If you say you’re in favour of a world full of peace, you have to try to understand why others think and act the way they do. You have to accept that not everyone sees the world the way you do. You can’t just believe that everyone has the answers to what is right and wrong.
I understand why people are upset that Noora got so much attention this season and why it seemed unfair to Sana that Noora was taking up so much of her story. But I think she was actually important for this season, not just because we need Noorhelm closure or because she’s one of Sana’s closest friends. The reason why I think Julie decided to get her tangled into this Yousef situation is because she represents the cool white, Norwegian girl that Sana sometimes wishes she could be.
Don’t get me wrong, I know Sana is proud of her heritage and she’s proud to be Muslim, but a lot POC who’ve been marginalized have at some point thought about how much easier their life would be if they were just a little blonder or a little lighter or a little skinnier. That resentment Sana builds towards Noora is not just about the kiss. It’s that Noora is this pretty, skinny, white, Norwegian girl who always seems to get what Sana thinks she can’t.
Even their first conversation about Yousef had a slightly territorial tone to it. Sana says some rude things about Muslim men who date white girls but I think what she’s really saying is, “This is where I finally feel like I’m not constantly one step below you. You have everybody else in this country you could date. Why are you doing this to me?” Elias talks about how hot Noora is, the Pepsi-Max girls talk about how they’d kick the entire girl squad out except for her because she’s so pretty, and William just immediately falls in love with her. Sana sees people fall for her, praise her, and give her the benefit of the doubt all of the time. Meanwhile, Sana has to deal with racist assholes who stare at her on buses and abuse her online.
She overhears the PM girls shit on her, and then she hears them say that they’d keep Noora on because she’s so pretty. And then she walks out to see Noora making out with Yousef right after having felt like she really connected with him. And she knows they don’t have the religion barrier that her and Yousef do. It was just another humongous white slap in the face. That’s why she breaks. That’s why she gets so angry about it, and that’s why she can’t talk about it with Noora because the issue is more than just a kiss or a hook up, it’s everything Noora represents in her mind.
That’s why Noora was important this season. That’s why the first clip we see in ep6 after Sana breaks has a long, slow-motion shot of Noora’s hair flowing freely in the wind. It’s a purposeful contrast between her hair and Sana’s hijab, between the pretty white Norwegian society Sana feels she could never truly belong to and the Muslim community she’s continually harassed for being a part of.
i can’t believe this is the end…

SKAM ESPAÑA T3 IS BASICALLY THE MOVIE FEAR
Both in the movie and the clip when the characters first meet the guys Miquel and David both act super suave and within barely a minute of talking they convince Nora/Nicole (lol didn’t even realize that connection) to go off with them. It should also be mentioned that in doing so the both girls leave their friends and go with the guy. The guy then takes them to a semi remote place basically where there are less people and they both make them seem like really put together guys and even make up false stuff to try to make the girls like them. David with his family background and Miquel possibly with the musical stuff.
Another big similarity is that when Nora and Nicole both bring up how late it’s and that they probably should be heading home Miquel and David both distract them Miquel saying don’t look at it, it doesn’t matter, and saying that it’s actually 9:45 while David physically turns Nicole’s watch back so she wouldn’t know the time. Both are manipulating techniques to get them to ignore the fact that it’s way too late and they should probably be heading home instead of continueing to hang out with them.
Miquel and David both kiss the girls without asking and both Nora and Nicole push them back and then leave to go home.
And then the very next time Nora/Nicole see the guys is when they show up unwarranted to their school. I should also mention at this point that both David and Miquel are older than their female counterparts and are out of high school so they have no business being there and they also found the address themselves. David and Nicole then hang out while Nora and Miquel make plans to go the musical together.
Okay this is going to make not a lot of sense if you haven’t seen the clip because I’m not going to go into detail about what happened in this scene because it’s a little NSFW but just know that Nicole and David are on a rollercoaster and that Nicole feels an euphoric feeling for the first time. WHICH IS SO FUCKING SIMILAR TO THE TRAILER. Because that’s basically what Nora’s saying!!!
Lastly stuff that could be paralleled but we don’t know yet is that later in the movie David sees Nicole hug her best friend who’s a guy (their relationship is platonic) and gets super jealous for no reason and starts to beat him up which leads to Nicole and David breaking up. Depending how closely España follows the og (which doesn’t seem like a lot) this scene could totally be the fight scene. It could play out differently but either Miquel or Alejandro could get jealous of the other and then a fight breaks out. Lastly later in the movie David actually sexually assaults Nicole which would parallel if Miquel is Nico and how he is most likely Nora’s assaulter
