Just some doodles with my redesigns and rewrites for fun. Along with a few of my own OCs!
Spindle, previously one of the smartest apprentices of the Bride of Endless Reach, foresaw something horrible that made him decide to take the written prophecy as soon as he was made to write it down, believing his Bride would make it come true much too soon. Smart but rather quick to annoy. He helps Vibran escape a certain evil doctor when he ends up getting lost on his journey.
Vibran, a trained and trusted ninja of the Bride of Constant Vigil. He was sent to find her son for her, though ended up being misled and almost turned into a robot by an evil doctor, who saw him fit for testing some of his experiments. However, he was saved by a rather kind spider that has a way with words. This guy may be kind of thick-headed at times, but he’s got heart and spirit out the wazoo!
Mithral, apprentice of the former bride of Rich Nights. Determined to follow her Bride’s final order- and hopefully restore her confidence and hope in the process- she has been wandering through the different zones of Mobius for years in an attempt to find both the written prophecy that was stolen and Constant Vigil’s Son. Her rather cheerful naivety has worn out slowly, leaving her a rather exasperated and level-headed character.
Was all of this just an excuse to talk about my OCs and personal fangirl stuff? Probably <3
Okay, I know she got a ton more appearing time and (somewhat) development in the comics when she became an eggboss and all that but I wanted to make her even prettier
Apparently, she was a fan-favorite (and my gay ass honestly understands, she’s fabulous) but I feel like she could be made even better as well with a few simple changes. So uh
The Bride of Conquering Storm, one of the three remaining Brides of the Dragon Kingdom, head of the Raiju Clan, declared by most as the most aggressive and merciless of the Brides by far.
In the clan of Raiju, strength and power is everything. By far, the champion of this merciless clan was Storm and her blatant bloodlust is what earned her the title of Bride. However, this was not an immediate victory. She had to fight her equally as violent sister to the death, which resulted in the loss of her eye. Even so, she reigned victorious and adapted to continue fighting.
She is untrusting of outsiders due to her heavy training and conditioning in the clan, though values loyalty and strength over all. Her teachings are as harsh and militant, but are taken with pride as these methods trace back to the clan’s founder. Though a bit unrelated, it is rumored amongst Raiju trainees that their Bride is able to manipulate weather with her feelings; this myth has been used to explain why the Raiju clan tends to be shadowed in storm clouds most of the time.
In present day, she remains a hostile, antagonistic figure amongst the other Brides, who also tend to keep their distance from her and her foot soldiers. The only Bride that she had somewhat “okay” relations with was Rich Nights. Despite her hostility, Storm is emotionally driven and a cunning individual that will defend her honor to her very last breath.
“…what the actual fuck- PUT IT BACK!” Alex exclaimed, hands flying everywhere around them. They‘d done enough things today that could make them criminals back in her hometown, and the same was probably true here, alternate universe or timeline or whatever! Honestly, Alex was getting really tired of this job already, and the Lieutenant wasn’t making any of it easier.
“Pft-“ The maniac in question cawed, spinning the bloody sword with a crazed giddiness. It made the other uneasy. “Why would I do that, mi amiga, when he’s already dead?” The bloodied silver of the blade was pointed right in Alex’s face, almost grazing the very tip of her nose. The girl shrieked, falling backwards onto the dusty, rocky ground.
“D-don’t point it at me!” She choked out rather squeakily, glaring daggers as the other cackles.
“Alright, alright, I will!” Phoenix waved a hand as she responded, spinning the sword one more time. Soon enough, she tossed it over her head. They heard it whistling flying through the air for a moment, until a shriek of pain echoed it. The blonde’s almost bat-like ears fell a bit, clawed hands grabbing Alex’s as they fell into a run. “Rápida, to the avian city!”
“To the what?!”
“Luego; I’ll explain after my shortcut!”
“That doesn’t-“ Her frustration was silenced by her own shriek as she was dragged head first into a portal. The golden glow disoriented everything, ears buzzing and ringing in tune with every single sensation of the universe. It was like being pulled like taffy and torn apart, only put back together by tape; All for a god damn shortcut! They should’ve kept that sword, so Alex could chop that cocky, careless head off it’s immortal pedestal.
Oh, right. Immortal.
God damn this job.
“Where did you get a sword?!”
“Found it.”
“Where?!”
“Dead body.”
Guess that’s why he’s the speedster of the chaotix
Over 400 pages (minimum) in an hour??? Espio reads as fast as Sonic can run.
So I decided that, after seeing an old redesign attempt from February in my gallery, I was going to reattempt to give this wonderful woman from the Archie comics a new look!
While I haven’t exactly gotten caught up with everything from the Archie comics, I did hyper-fixate on everything Ninja related. So, let’s go ahead and attempt a modernized rendition of
The Bride of Constant Vigil, one of the three remaining brides of the Matriarchal Dragon Kingdom, Head of the Shinobi Clan, Mother and Master to Espio the Chameleon.
After having inherited her title from a young age, she hardened herself with training and the responsibility of keeping her clan safe. Due to the clan wars being endlessly brutal, Vigil made the decision to take her people and retreat into the shadows, using their honed techniques of invisibility and espionage to keep watch over threats. Even so, the clan still kept their distance from the actual battles, turning their eyes towards other zones in the mean time…just in case. Then came the peace treaty, though none of the Brides truly believed it would last very long…
She personally trained her child, making sure that he would be prepared for any enemy or trouble, should he have to face it. Despite this, Vigil forbid him from actually leaving to go on any missions, which led to him eventually vanishing, leaving only a vague note and a single Kunai. Furious and frantic, she sent a trusted and trained guard to find him. Leading up to present day, she has heard from neither her son nor the guard she sent.
Speaking of present day, the matriarch has become cold and closed off from others, spending most of her time meditating or training on her own. She has become brash and hard from time and will not hesitate to silence you for good if you step one foot out of line. While on the side of neutrality, Vigil remains as brutal as her fellow Brides.
Might end up doing this for the other brides and stuff too. I just really like ninjas

i know philip was exceedingly neglectful of his grimwalkers and he never even told them he'd been in the human realm before, but I really like the idea of him spinning this whole story about his Poor Brother who was Killed by Wild Witches and Hunter is just taking it all in with wide eyes and then the ghost of all the grimwalkers Philips killed and his brother start heckling him like "BOOOO I'VE HEARD THIS ONE BEFORE!"
Finally uploading my Hobie Brown art! I’m trying to work more with realism in a cartoonish way, and I hope I achieved it here.
I love him so much, he’s such a cool character with all of his piercings and attitude and his entire personality!!! Speaking of piercings, I might have given him too many in this piece I’m not sure though.
I got invited to do a Digimon 02 piece for a zine :) This was a fun one :)
