Hi I have another fic concept bopping around upstairs and I'm making it everyone's problem.
So, another time-travel because I like messing with relationships that change with age dynamics
In this case, Anakin from early in the war, either almost or freshly knighted but everyone is still pretty sure it's a desperation thing for the war and he's not actually ready, doesn't even have Ahsoka yet, gets tossed back into abooooout seven years before the JA era? Somewhere between five and ten.
Agemates with Xanatos (already evil, but relatively recently so) and Mace (surprisingly hot).
The local Jedi do not entirely trust his insistence that he's a knight, because his emotional control is trash and he had a bit of a breakdown when he saw Qui-Gon making comments about Never Having A Student Again, so the Jedi Council are like "listen, you're... fine? You're definitely ALMOST a knight but honestly we'd like to get to know your overall competency before we grant that title to you since you don't have any records. You said you hadn't had a chance to take these knighthood courses because of the war? Great, do those and some competency tests for the academia reqs, and we'll reassess in a year."
And since he's technically been bumped back down to Senior Padawan, he needs a Master, at least in name only.
And guess who DOESN'T have Komari yet, and whom Anakin is weirdly ready to keep an eye on for Keep Your Enemies Closer reasons?
(Also Anakin's nervous or frustrated or even angry energy gets funneled, very often, into Mace's bed.)
Sometimes Anakin wanders off to the crèche to locate bb!Obi-Wan and hug/cry on him for a bit.
Loyalty was a trait Janet Drake respected above all others.
It can give you power, fame, money to have someone's loyalty was to have their life.
Tim has always given his all. His people whatever they need they have. May it be his mind, his skills, or even his weapons.
If Dick Grayson demanded the shirt off his back he would remain naked till the end of his days.
Very few times has anyone actually used it the first to test it was Jason.
"Hey Jay.. What's up you never call?"
Tim's phone is always ringing from Wayne Enterprises to his assorted friends he can't remember it being silent. Yet the shock when HighWay to Hell started blaring almost sent him into cardiac arrest.
"Need a favor. Think you could meet me at that safe house you keep pretending not to break into?"
"Yah no problem also it's not breaking in when you leave the window unlocked. Give me ten."
~
Jason doesn't do favors. He would rather die again than ever ask for shit.
When it comes to Tim though he's not an idiot. During his return to Gotham he researched, knew everything about him from his favorite color to when he fucking peed.
Part of his research specifically including who trained the third Robin. Nevermind that watching the kid fight for more than ten minutes gives it away.
Lady Shiva, Ra's just to name a few. He moves almost exactly the same as Cass. Hides in the shadows better than Damian. The whole creepy debacle with Mr. Old as Fuck just furthered Jason hypothesis.
Baby Bird, Bruce's prized protege isn't none lethal.
"I need you to kill someone."
~
Tim in the back of his mind expected it.
Jason for all he is exactly like Bruce doesn't respond the same. To him protection is blood soaked, a knife to the throat is a greeting. Kindess was shrouded and wasn't offered without losing a part of yourself.
"Joker I'm assuming?"
~
He expected a bit of a fight maybe a lecture at least for him to pretend, not whatever it is Replacement is doing.
"He hasn't broken out of Arkham in months haven't heard shit and I hear your in the same business as me nowadays. What you say about helping a brother out?"
~
He wonders if Jason is aware of how his voice cracked. The pleading that was heard the unspoken because I can't. Tim couldn't imagine looking Jason in the eye and saying no. Watching your son bend and demanding he break.
"Hate to burst your bubble, but I already did, I know you think the worst of me but I wasn't gonna let your murderer keep kicking his feet."
He tosses the drive he's been sitting on almost three months before heading back to the window.
"I know we got our shit Jay but your my brother. This is something you needed to be able to sleep at night. You shouldn't feel like you have to beg. I honestly thought you had known and didn't want to acknowledge it."
~
Jason can't breathe as he shuts his computer. Thirty hours of torture his baby brother broke the Joker in ways that turned his stomach.
He climbs into bed his eyes shutting sleeping without a nightmare for the first time in years.
He can't ever repay Tim nothing will ever be enough but he is gonna do everything to try.
He wonders if Ra's might need the same treatment?
Wait, if Gerry is still alive in your au does that mean that Jon somehow prevented him from dying?
I can imagine Gerry just chilling in the institute until a small kid comes up to him and announces that he has cancer which then turns out to be true and he's able to get treatment for it early enough to survive, then Gerry decides to befriend that weird psychic child and they become bffs
BAHHAHAA yeahhh Jon warns him beforehand and they have a tight friendship
i imagine they met when Gerry was looking for a Leitner and Jon just so happened to be there
and then they were inseparable akaskjakjKkja

After a stinging conversation with Bruce, Damian decides that the best course of action for himself is to pack up and run away since he can’t stay at the Manor and he absolutely cannot go back to the League.
Which…leaves him two choices: either go off by himself or….
Sigh.
• • •
Damian glared at his reflection in a window as he impatiently listened to the dial sound that came from the payphone he stood at. He hitched the collar of his jacket higher as he discreetly glanced around him.
He didn’t have many options left after he decided to leave the Manor and the Waynes’ (it was for the best) if he had, Damian wouldn’t have dared to contact him.
Maybe it was just the anxiety and fear that he would also turn his back against Damian
Finally, just as Damian was about to slam the phone back into its place, a voice spoke. A familiar one that made his face scrunch up.
“Fenton household. This is Danny speaking.”
“Tsk. Hello, Danyal.”
Damian jerked the phone away from his ear as a harsh static sound erupted from it but it disappeared just as quickly as it came, a silence taking over the filled Damian with anxiety anticipation.
“Oh. Hello, Damian. Been a bit hasn’t it?”
A bit is a light way to say it.
“It has.” Damian took a moment to check his surroundings again.
“Uh huh. So, why are you calling me? I didn’t think the heir would wish to speak to the little ol’ spare.” The words in on themselves were harsh and cruel, but there was a lightness to the way Danyal spoke which made Damian’s chest both loosen and tighten simultaneously.
He opened his mouth to answer but couldn’t find himself able to do so, instead making a soft choked sound as he tried to inhale discreetly but it came off too sharp. The phone made a crackling sound as the two brewed in the silence.
“…Damian? Are you okay?” Danyal voice finally broke through hesitantly, a mixture of unsureness and surprise concern hidden in the layers of his tone and the general poor condition this payphone was in. “What happened? Aren’t you supposed to be with Bruce?”
The mention of Bruce Father, Damian couldn’t stop the soft keening sound that escape him. He clasped his hand over his mouth but it was too late, Danyal had heard it.
“Damian- Brother. What the hell happened?” The words were harsher this time but they were not directed towards Damian, who didn’t flush in embarrassment at the moment of weakness as he took a breath to recollect himself.
“The League is gone, Grandfather is dead, and…I did not meet Father’s expectations.” Damian summarized quickly, unsure how much Danyal knew since he hasn’t been with the League in years.
It was silent for a moment. “I see.” Danyal replied in a neutral tone before growing quiet again, the static seemed to return but softer and more in the background.
“Brother, where are you?” Damian could hear the sound of his brother shuffling around as if looking for something and a feeling of relief hope swelled inside him as he swiftly recited his location.
Clone Wars: When the world ends
Fox watches as Coruscant burns, his men scrambling behind him as democracy falls to the dust. His hands tighten behind his back as he watches smoke rise from the Jedi Temple, a parallel to the smoke rising here in the Senate building.
The screams of Senators and screeching of speeders zooming by barely drowns out the cries that is clones and Jedi alike fighting off the protestors on the street.
Several Venators lift from the Jedi Temple, filled to the brim with younglings and clone cadets, guarded by at least two Jedi Masters and several Clone Commanders and Captains.
He stands amidst the Chancellor's office, his boss’ late body strewn across the floor. Anakin stares emptily at his friend's beheaded head and Fox wonders if he’s actually grieving the man or grieving himself.
Fox’ fingers clench around the comm that continues to relay the emergency alert across the GAR.
Thorn shouts evacuation orders in the background, grabbing Senators from the burning building.
Or at least the ones that he wants to help.
The Senators that have degraded his men and shouted insults and passed laws to make it harder for a clone to live, for a Jedi to stop fighting...
Well, when it's the end, what value do they hold to a clone who's loyalty is for their men and their Jedi?
Thorn turns his back, refusing his men the right to help them. He signals to Stone who open fires on them, pulling Padme and Bail towards the rescue speeders.
A chime echoes in the room, and Fox glances down to see it coming from his comm.
Marshall Commander Cody.
He answers.
"Where are you?" No greeting. No formalities.
Desperation coats his words and Fox wonders how much time they have left.
"We are on our way." Thorn has finished loading up the last of the speeders, while Thire runs back in to make sure no clones are left behind.
He comes back with only two shinies and Fox knows they are ready to evacuate the building.
"We don't have much longer. Our last ship is ready to deport. What's your ETA?"
Thorn waves them forward, jumping on to a speeder bike. He signs to Fox from below, and Fox answers. "T-minus 20 minutes.”
Anakin comes up next to him, his robotic hand creaking as it grips tight around the handle of his lightsaber.
"We will wait 25." Fox nods in acknowledgment, ready to hang up when Cody stops him. "Fox?" He stares down at Cody's concerned face. "We'll meet you here, right?"
Fox doesn't speak for a while, his eyes flicking up to the burning city around him. Anakin quietly snorts at the question and Fox can feel his gold eyes staring into the side of his temple.
"Yes," he lies. "Just look out for my armor." He hangs up before Cody can say anything more.
Thorn's armor is heavy on him, unfamiliar despite being the same size.
As he follows Anakin out of the office, red blade lighting the way, he can't help but wonder...
Are they the villains??
Oh my god. This is ADORABLE!
Leo notices throughout their relationship that Usagi constantly touches Leo’s bandana. WhAt DoEs ThAt mEaN??? OoOoOoOoOohh
“You feel like home” :,)))
De-aged Danny wandering the street of Gotham as a five year old:
Batfam: hello child are you alright?
Danny: Yup! :D
Batfam: where are your parents buddy?
Danny: don’t need em. Tried to kill me
Batfam: *concerned* how about you come with us for a little while?
Danny: no thank you mister Batman, I don’t trust adults
Batfam: oh no
Batman has a watchlist. A list that contains every individual who could become a rouge and a contingency plan for if they did.
And while they, his children, often make fun of his paranoia and him for having it, they totally understand why he did. They lived in Gotham, for Christ's sake. Where everyone’s just a pin drop away from being the city’s next big villain, forcing the bats to scratch their heads while playing cat and mouse with a sicko for a good few weeks. And while they won’t admit it, the list has helped them a few times.
But that won’t stop them from making fun of any of the list’s new developments. Because you see, there was a new list. And it wasn’t just a watchlist. No, no, no. It was The Watchlist.
It was a new development after he and Robin went on an out-of-state mission to investigate some town in bum fuck nowhere Illinois. And it was under some pretty tight security as well, so they were expecting something good, like mad scientists or evil mayors. Not profiles of the kids who lived in the town. And while there were a few metas and vigilantes that made the list interesting, by the end of it all they just seemed to be teenagers.
Until they saw Damian. They hadn’t seen him since he came back from the mission with B. He looked tired. Like ‘Tim hasn’t slept in a week and is surviving on just coffee beans’ tired.
“Ah, I see you all have found it. Good. A few of them will be arriving next week as they’re a part of Gotham Academy’s student exchange program. At least three of them will be staying in the manor with us. Father will need you all to be on standby and to be ready for any possible scenario. Please, for the love of all that is good, do not encourage them in any way, shape, or form. And please do not dismiss them either. The outcome of doing that will be much worse. Is there more that I should add? Yes. Will I? No, because you won’t understand. Not until you've seen what I have.”
The demon child sighed, then looked them dead in the eyes. “Godspeed to us all.” Then walked away.
Okay, they were scared now.
I think a massive facet of Tim's secret identity should be that everyone in Gotham knows that if Tim had Bat Skills, he would simply be a benevolent supervillain instead. A feral little gremlin who would take out the kneecaps of every boomer trying to embezzle charity funds. Like, this is the bitch that's constantly ready to fight God in a Denny's parking lot. He would be out there committing murder every time someone tried to rezone Gotham's voting districts again; he'd just show up in their dark living room with anime eyeshine like, "oh? And you thought you could get away with this? 🔪"
CB now lives in fear of when Kon decides he doesn’t care enough to try.
Captain Boomerang, ig: Why does superboy have his arm on you like that?
Tim, with Kon's hand on his shoulder, rolling his eyes: Because he thinks I'm gonna try to kill you or whatever
CB: That's ridiculous.
Tim: i know, he thinks he could stop me
I might write something like this. Like Damian or Tim(depends on what timeline I decide) gets friendly with the kid from Crime Alley and creates a web of information for easier ways to make sure the kids are taken care of.
Okay but Bruce being Bruce Wayne and adopting a bunch of kids, like the elite looking to him and stuff and they want to appeal to him so he supports them and stuff. Stay in his social circle.
So they start adopting children and stuff. Some of them genuinely growing to love them and adopting children of Gotham. Others though, they hate it and the children, so after like 4 months they stop doing anything for the child or just go “I don't want it anymore, it's just…they aren't the right kid for us”
And when Bruce finds out he looses his shit on these people, he is making jabs at them with a strained smile with rage in his eyes. He is making sure those kids get good loving homes, he talks to others who are good and care.
Tim? He finds out these kids are getting neglected and he makes sure those kids get out of their house and then tanks their business, but don't worry, he hands out applications to those who work for them so they ain't struggling to find a job.
Jason seeing these kids were on the street getting homes and being fed and clothed and warming up to them, it warms his heart, yeah fuck these rich elitists but some of them are good. Then he sees the kids who get sent back, who don't get attention after a certain amount of time, he takes the kids and says screw you to rich persons. And works with Tim to take them down.
Damian understands being forced into the home of strangers and not belonging and having to conform to their ways, it doesn't feel good. He sees kids going into these rich homes and having to change themselves, he watches very carefully. And when the kids get sent back, get ignored, oh-ho there's an unimaginable anger he never imagined having. They deserve to be cared for, to be loved, you took them in, you don't get to abandon them.
And Dick, he’s certainly the most proactive. Yeah…he wears the blue suit, but he isn't just in blue, he's a detective. He also has a private investigator license, no matter how much is going on, he will see if you're fit to be a parent. If you don't take care of those kids he will have the evidence, yeah Red Robin will drop evidence on peoples desks but it means so much more with Dick.
I don't know, just thinking about Bruce’s effect on the elite of Gotham that isn't just Batman but just Bruce himself. And then his kids being his little ducks behind him in the change of Gotham.
