In One Reality Red Hood Reveals His Identity To Batman And Nightwing, And Less Than A Second Later, Before

This funny little tidbit was inspired by @wisekrakenwise putting together Lego 'Darth Vader's Meditation Chamber' this afternoon. And we went 'of course Kylo would want one of those!'

When Tim was little, his parents mentioned a barely known God that spanned multiple civilizations; but no one really knew what he was the God OF.

And little Timmy, well, he felt bad for that God. Years, centuries of work only to be forgotten?

It would be like completing homework four weeks early and having everyone forget he'd done it!

So from age seven and up, Tim would start praying to this God. He had the same name across multiple languages, and Tim opted to just use what all of those names would be in English.

Phantom.

What started at first as a side thing became his predominant religion by the accident of developing a habit and continuing it over years.

When he prayed to Phantom, he felt like he was being acknowledged in a way that praying to other gods just did not provide.

Even when he kind of went agnostic, he'd always toss up a little prayer to the Almost-Forgotten God.

He didn't expect, during a kidnapping courtesy of Joker after a rather shitty patrol, for said God to manifest in front of him and fight Joker with his fists.

Or; the reason Danny survived the portal accident (sort of) was because he was already in the process of being deified by someone who was alive at the same time he was, making Tim his only worshipper. Danny doesn't find this out until way later, and finds the guy who technically kept him alive to thank him-only to find him about to be tortured by a clown. Danny loses his shit.

Honestly, it'd be funnier if the guy who did it is someone who has like, no other morals. He'll punch a pregnant lady, he'll kill an old woman. Childern, however? No.

I would love for there to be a tmnt villain who at first is just going after them like every other one does, but then after having a Realization that they are Actual Teenagers it's revealed that the dude's got a strict Don't Hurt Kids line to their moral code.

Thing is, they still keep trying to do whatever villainy they first aimed for it's just that, instead of directly fighting the gang, they keep creating increasingly elaborate non-lethal traps to keep the guys busy while the villain does their plot and just bails if the guys show up early.

DP x DC Prompt: The Watchlist

Batman has a watchlist. A list that contains every individual who could become a rouge and a contingency plan for if they did.  

And while they, his children, often make fun of his paranoia and him for having it, they totally understand why he did. They lived in Gotham, for Christ's sake. Where everyone’s just a pin drop away from being the city’s next big villain, forcing the bats to scratch their heads while playing cat and mouse with a sicko for a good few weeks. And while they won’t admit it, the list has helped them a few times. 

But that won’t stop them from making fun of any of the list’s new developments. Because you see, there was a new list. And it wasn’t just a watchlist. No, no, no. It was The Watchlist.

It was a new development after he and Robin went on an out-of-state mission to investigate some town in bum fuck nowhere Illinois. And it was under some pretty tight security as well, so they were expecting something good, like mad scientists or evil mayors. Not profiles of the kids who lived in the town. And while there were a few metas and vigilantes that made the list interesting, by the end of it all they just seemed to be teenagers. 

Until they saw Damian. They hadn’t seen him since he came back from the mission with B. He looked tired. Like ‘Tim hasn’t slept in a week and is surviving on just coffee beans’ tired.

“Ah, I see you all have found it. Good. A few of them will be arriving next week as they’re a part of Gotham Academy’s student exchange program. At least three of them will be staying in the manor with us. Father will need you all to be on standby and to be ready for any possible scenario. Please, for the love of all that is good, do not encourage them in any way, shape, or form. And please do not dismiss them either. The outcome of doing that will be much worse. Is there more that I should add? Yes. Will I? No, because you won’t understand. Not until you've seen what I have.” 

The demon child sighed, then looked them dead in the eyes. “Godspeed to us all.” Then walked away.

Okay, they were scared now.

Humans were made to love. To love our ancestors, to love out descendants, to love ourselves, the people around us. Humans were meant to love, the moment we as a species learned to hate is when humans lost ourselves. We were meant to love and be loved. No matter what you think of yourself or the people around you, remember that. Everyone is loved and loves. No matter what, no matter how horrible, no matter how evil. There is someone that once cradled them or someone that they cradle.

i think we've done a great job expanding the view of what a child's favorite animal can be. kids these days can say they love axolotls or pangolins or coelecanths and their decision is respected. maybe their parents can even find them a stuffed animal of it if they know where to look. and i think that's beautiful

Council: *confusedly ranting at Qui-Gon about how he has the nerve to go and change time of all the things, completely ignoring the worst case scenario he just laid out in front of them*

Qui-Gon: *ignoring them entirely while somehow feeding both Anakin and Obi-Wan at the same time, probably helped out because Rex and Cody are trying to hold the babies for him anyways*

Obi-Wan: *absolutely blissfully peaceful because Master is smiling at him and giving him attention*

Council member: -and to top it off, you’re not even going to be here to deal with the consequences-

Qui-Gon: *looks up finally, annoyed* Well maybe I would actually BE in the temple for one if none of you felt the need to constantly send me and my YOUNG, FRAGILE padawan to parts unknown!

Other council member: *rolls her eyes* Not only do you LIKE that, but you thrive off being able to bully government officials.

Qui-Gon: *delicate sniff like that’s completely below him* Well, stop it. I’m retiring. I’m tired of solving the galaxy’s problems. Time to fix the mess that is our order.

Council: *feels great fear*

Rex: *snuggling up to Qui-Gon’s side cause he’s starting to like this man*

Cody: *fully in his lap because Cody has come to love this man through a form of Stockholm Syndrome that was hell the first time, he doesn’t feel like going through it again*

Qui-Gon: *the smuggest Master in the whole order, because baby cuddles*

Plo: *probably the second smuggest Master in the order, because baby Wolffe cuddles*

Qui-Gon: Anyways, it would be best if you could restrict me and the little ones to the temple for now. I’ll take charge of their schooling, enroll them in the classes they need. Won’t that be fun, you’ll finally be able to tell me what to do for once.

Yoda: Do what you will, you will no doubt.

Qui-Gon: *perking up a little* You’re right. Absolutely right. A restriction won’t stop me, so best to just play along while I’m fairly harmless.

Council member: Play along? With you becoming an in-temple busybody?

Qui-Gon: Exactly. Play along, or I’ll be an even bigger thorn in your side, yes I will *cooing now while looking down at Obi-Wan’s little face*

Council: *more fear*

For extra context, neither of us have actually dated anyone before so this was our first date.

I(female, teenager) have been talking with a boy in my class. He's nice, compliments me often, and has met my mom on our first date(she was chaperoning and he was pretty cool about it). He's a genuinely nice guy who seems to actually like me. However, he hasn't shown any interest in anything I haven't mentioned except for cars. He doesn't talk about his own interests, instantly shifts or derails his opinion to match mine, and only really answers questions that agree with things I've said. I'll be blunt and say that I'm a rather intelligent girl and that he's a little dull. I feel like he's shifting himself so that I like him more. I can see myself in a happy relationship with him but at the same time can only see myself dulling my intelligence to be more on his level. My mom has told me that he doesn't seem like he'll stimulate my brain in the way she knows I want and need. I don't know what to do because I like him but I feel like he's changing himself into someone I'd like more.
