The Froglog helps save frogs from drowning in swimming pools. Wildlife biologist Rich Mason created the small, floating ramp, which attaches to the side of your pool so frogs can climb out when they get stuck. Bluetooth technology is named after Harald Blatand, a 10th-century viking king whose last name translates to ‘Bluetooth.’ Whether or not he had a literal blue tooth is debated, but he was renowned for peacefully bringing people from different lands together. The symbol on Bluetooth’s logo is also Blatand’s initials in ancient Runes. Source

The Silent Parade was a silent protest march of between 8,000 and 10,000 African Americans that started at Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in New York City on July 28, 1917. The purpose of the parade was to protest murders, lynchings, and other violence directed towards African Americans. The parade was precipitated by the East St. Louis riots in May and July 1917, when between 40 and 250 Black people were killed by white mobs.
