As if summoned by Isobel’s thoughts, the door swung open and Aylin rushed through, the draft tousling her hair in the process.

“You should have warned me.”, she rasped, stopping just before Isobel, mere inches between them left.

“Oh, about this? Why, it’s very tame. You can barely see half a leg.”, Isobel pointed out innocently. Despite her own heart racing she brought the flute to her lips and took a sip of her champagne.

Aylin's warm hand slid past the silky fabric and pressed against the back of her thigh, fingers digging into soft skin. The other reached out to pull the flute from Isobel's hand and, with great foresight, placed it on the balcony railing.

Isobel brought her now empty hand to the nape of Aylin's neck, fingers curling into the hair there. Aylin's lips hung open, her eyes dark and hungry, entirely at Isobel's behest.

A small tug on her hair was enough to get her moving. The hand on Isobel's thigh lifted it up to make space for her body to slot in between.

She crowded herself against Isobel, her strong body pressing her into the wall.

The music coming from inside had long since faded. Isobel's own heart beating in her ears only mixed with the sounds of Aylin's heavy breathing.

Isobel tilted her face upwards to close the remaining distance between them and bring their lips together.

They had both been aching to do this for much too long already. Every second not spent kissing each other was seemingly wasted.
