in which the married man nanami kento cannot stop using every single excuse to call you his wife. he just can’t help it, it sounds really nice.
at the bakery, instead of looking for it he went to the counter to ask, “excuse me, do you have whole wheat bread? my wife prefers that over the plain one.” was there a reason for him to mention you? nope. is he going to to it again? absolutely.
he now brings home cooked lunch to work. the man who usually dreads the small talk from his coworkers now becomes quite eager when they notice the bento and asked him about it. “my lunch looks great? thank you. my wife cooked this for me.”
or when it’s after hours and there’s random talk amongst the workers such as places to visit on vacation. “these are really good recommendations, i’ll have to visit them with my wife if i have the chance.”
when he’s on grocery shop duty after work when you asked him to buy something from the market. kento tasted the one of the sample food and perked up, for two reasons. reason one is that he finds something you’d like, second reason, “where can i find more of this? my wife would love this.”
when a random stranger flirts with him and he didn’t miss a beat to say, “ah, you find me charming? thank you, my wife would agree.”
his phone would ring while he’s occupied in a work discussion and he had the slightest smile on his face as he stood up, “excuse me, my wife is calling.”
the way he always tried to insert you in every conversation even if the topic barely correlates to you. “i seriously almost drowned that day, the beach can be really dangerous,” one of his coworker said, finishing a story. and who would be able to know why kento felt the need to say, “my wife quite likes the beach.”
even in front of mutual friends such as gojo, as he knew the both of you back from high school days. “let me ask my wife first if she wants to come.” oh now it’s gojo’s turn to roll his eyes after so many years he has tormented the blond man with his antics. “you know that i know ‘your wife’ right? that she’s my friend too?” nanami looked at him, “what’s your point?” he deadpanned.
on the most random time of the day, he would say randomly during the day, his mind wandered to you as always. “i miss my wife.”

Migraine
Pairing: Matt Simmons x Fem reader
Description: Matt helps you through one of the most painful migraines in your life
It truly felt as if someone had stuck an ice pick in your head then shot you all in one as the pain grew worse leading you to get sick before laying under the covers in the dark whimpering in pain as you tried to sleep. Matt walks through the front door after coming back from a three week long case in Connecticut but he's confused when you don't come running up to him like you always did whenever he came home especially after a case that took longer, he goes upstairs to find the bedroom door ajar while the room was swallowed in darkness as he hears your cries turning on the lamp to see your form under the covers slowly moving them off only to see you in complete agony as you opened your eyes just enough to squint to see without putting yourself in more pain as tears flowed down your face while putting the covers back over you. He knew immediately that you were having a terrible migraine which you've had throughout most of your life and there had been a few bad ones but not this bad as he grabbed a cold bottled water from the fridge and extra strength Tylenol but not before making you a warm meal, you slowly lean up in the darkness as he walked back in and handed you the plate of chicken, mashed potatoes, and peas enjoying the meal since you hadn't eaten after getting sick before when the migraine began to hit you like a car hitting a brick wall but at different speeds every ten minutes and it was truly unbearable at this point as you laid down after taking the tylenol and sipping on the cold water. You looked at matt after your eyes adjusted back to the dark as he slowly massaged both sides of your temples which helped you relax better and food being on your belly was an added help along with the comforting warmth from the covers, you slowly dozed off as the tylenol slowly took effect and matt still massaging your head until you were finally asleep waking up a few hours later to find matt at the foot of the bed folding laundry before stripping down to his boxers and throwing his clothes in the hamper when he sees you watching him that made a sweet smile form on his face while pressing a kiss to your forehead before laying down and holding you in his arms feeling relieved not to see you in pain like earlier and slowly lulling you back to sleep with the warmth of his body like a cocoon of safety and love while his hand ran along your side even after you were asleep running his fingers through your hair until he was fast asleep with you.

Growing up I always watched movies, documentaries, tv shows and read books about atrocities committed by people in history and thought.. how did this happen and why did no one do anything? Why did governments not intervene? Why did public figures not speak out? How did they get away with it? it? Most importantly how did human treat other humans like that? Where was the compassion?
I'm ashamed to say that in 2024 I now have the answers. The government's gas lighting and complicity, the media dehumanising, ignoring and bias reporting, the huge companies funding and supporting, the public figures choosing to stay silent, the ordinary person pretending "they don't know enough" this is how we've allowed this to happen time and time again..
In the past we could forgive people for not having enough information, not having access to it, not being able to hear the stories of the horrors, to be able to see it with their own eyes..
In 2024 you can't pretend you "don't know enough" you can't pretend you don't see innocent children, men, and women being brutally killed by sadistic, genocidal leaders and their war crimes.. you can't ignore the 100's and 1000's of videos, images, stories and people who are telling you what is happening.. the sheer horror of images we are seeing.. you can't ignore the countless protests, discourse, conversations, posts, live feeds etc.. history will judge your inaction, your silence, your ignorance..
This is not a war.. this is a genocide.. this is massacre.. there are no sides..
Also please don't forget the innocent people suffering in Sudan and Congo they need our voices too!
