What stage of bad health is it when you realize you can't do things that involve thinking after being up for only 12 hours?

Because if I get up at 9am, and try to do something at 9pm, I quickly become delirious and progressively more insane.

Humans are supposed to healthily be up for 16 hours at a time nigh indefinitely, not fall apart 12 hours in. Sure there's the thing about not making important decisions an hour or two before bed, but I apparently can't handle making informed or even rational decisions if its been 12 hours since I got up.

It's also just a weird as hell take? They are literally saying "oh, more people might play our game, and some might play it longer... We don't actually want that money, thank you-"

Like, what? Isn't 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒇𝒊𝒕 the thing all these big groups want???

Sad post about sad things

How do you deal with tragic events? I took years to fully establish in my mind that my best friend had died, I still struggle to believe both my grandmothers are gone, and now our oldest cat looks to be dying, since something has gone wrong with his hips or leg or spine.

I had to hear my loving sister, sweet and strong thing that she is, break down sobbing because this is probably the end for him.

I'm mad he's hurt, upset he's in pain, upset he's likely going to die, and all I can really do is sit here and fail to express any of this beyond the text side.

How do I deal with emotions that I can't really express outwardly? I want to express them, I can feel them, but I can't seem to actually do it.

Three weeks later, I'm lounging on the beach of an incredibly far away island, reading about how the kingdom collapsed basically instantaneously because the "new guy" they hired couldn't sanctify the literal hellgates across the entirety of the kingdom. The ones they originally hired my sect to pacify and draw magic from.

At least the new kingdom isn't trying to load all of that onto a single clergy member. Better benefits too.

They say we have capitalism.

I'm not sure that's actually true anymore? Like sure it was crony capitalism for a long while, but I'm not sure our current status actually qualifies as capitalism. We technically have the ability to buy whatever, up to and and including laws, except only the uppermost possible bank accounts actually have all of that, everyone else just has "work forever to maybe get food regularly" and that just doesn't sound like capitalism, that sounds like "we own you, we just let you pretend otherwise" which has a name, and it's not capitalism.

Call me whatever, as long as you aren't being intentionally rude it'll be fine.

SHUT UP. SHUT UP. SHUT UP.

There’s a few things going on with this statement.

1. Assuming that low empathy makes someone a bad person. It does not. Actions are what matter, not empathy levels.

2. Demonizing autistic people whose low/no empathy they attribute to their autism. Autism fundamentally impacts the way you interact with the world, others, and yourself. That includes empathy.

Anyway I love you people with low/no empathy this is a safe space for you <3

On April 16th 2025 the US federal government has proposed to change the interpretation of the endangered species act so that it no longer protects habitat.

This is open for public comment until the end of May 19th. Please comment and make your voice heard.

Wildlife need their habitat. If the ESA redefines harm so that habitat is no longer protected, the implications for wildlife would be catastrophic.
