I wanted to post these little guys again since it turned out my account was not working/not showing in any tags when I made the previous post.
These are the new variants:
My best friend (the best person I have EVER known) is Palestinian, and a lot of his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the increasing Israeli raids in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. ALL PROCEEDS from these designs will go to helping his girlfriend afford to join him in America safely and helping his other loved ones weather this war.
These doves and all my other designs can be found here. Click on each design to see more product options (shirts, stickers, notebooks, etc). Thank you to the person who bought the original on a sticker this morning, and to everyone who has been buying stickers the last few days!
We're slightly hopeful that the ceasefire will mitigate the harm being done to my friend's family going forward. He's already had some loved ones hurt that this money can help so for now I will continue the fundraising (plus we are not optimistic about the ceasefire continuing to be extended, unfortunately). For now his girlfriend has remained safe and financial planning for her trip here is going okay. Most of his immediate family is okay (extended family and friends not entirely so unfortunately). I will keep these updates somewhat vague to protect their privacy. We greatly appreciate all your help!
I put together a minimal star and crescent design with the Palestinian flag. The star and crescent is a very old symbol, some version of it predates Islam to at least as far back as Byzantium around 300 BC. It became popular again under the Ottoman empire and from there grew in the 20th century to become a very standard symbol of Islam. Unlike the cross in Christianity it does not have a direct textual link to the religion, and some Muslims do not accept it as a religious symbol. Despite this it is still widely used.
As usual ALL PROCEEDS from my designs are for my Palestinian best friend, to help him support his girlfriend in remaining in America until it's safe for her to travel back home (at this point she's hoping to head back soon-ish as her city has been somewhat safe recently) and to help support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries.
You can find this design here. Here are some product examples:

Some stickers from my fundraiser:
As always ALL PROCEEDS from my shop are for my best friend who is Palestinian. The extra income will help him support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. He will donate anything his family doesn't need to the Palestinian charities he works with.
You can find my shop HERE. To see a design on different products click on the display product and scroll down or go here to browse by design. Designs are available on many other products besides stickers (shirts, bags, magnets, pins, notebooks, etc), and there are many more designs available than just the ones shown above. Thank you to everyone who has helped out so far! We greatly appreciate all the support.
The phrase "the whole world is watching" is most famous for being chanted by Vietnam war protestors in 1968 as they were beaten and arrested outside the DNC. It's an older phrase without a clear origin, but it quickly became iconic after the protests. It is commonplace now in leftist protests and movements. It certainly seems fitting for the current crisis in Palestine.
As usual, ALL PROCEEDS from this design are for my Palestinian best friend, to help his girlfriend afford to join him safely in America and to help his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the increasing Israeli raids in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries.
You can buy the design above on various products (shirts, stickers, etc) here. All designs found here. Thank you to everyone who has helped out so far!
Here are a few of the stickers from my fundraiser that have sold recently:
My designs are also available on various other products such as pins, shirts, notebooks, hats, etc.
As usual EVERYTHING I RAISE is for my best friend, a Palestinian grad student living in America. The money is sent home to support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries.
You can find these designs in my shop HERE. To see a design on different products click on the display product and scroll down or go here to browse by design.
Here are photos of a couple other stickers from my shop a customer gave me, I think they turned out nice:
Thank you to everyone who has helped out so far! We greatly appreciate all the support.
A few of the designs from my fundraiser. All of the ones I'm sharing today adapt older art. From the top: an edited Henry Meunier print (using a picture of my own keffiyeh), a Warhol inspired design (the keffiyeh comes from an open source photo, the eyes from a vintage movie poster), an edited vintage pulp comic, and at the bottom two Julie de Graag prints.
As usual EVERYTHING I RAISE is for my best friend to support his friends and family in Gaza and the West Bank (and sometimes surrounding areas in the Levant suffering collateral damage).
I have 178 designs and I add more whenever I have a new idea (also open to suggestions). You can find these designs in my shop HERE. To see a design on different products click on the display product and scroll down or go here to browse by design. Most designs are available on a wide range of products (shirts, stickers, pins, hats, notebooks, etc). The cat on the orange background shown here is my most popular t-shirt design.
Thank you to everyone who has helped out so far! We greatly appreciate all the support, and we hope you are enjoying your purchases.
They've started approving my designs on Redbubble! I like this one, may wear it to my next union thing, maybe in yellow? :)
Also available in stickers and stuff!
ALL PROCEEDS from Palestine related sales through my Redbubble shop will go to my Palestinian best friend to help him bring his girlfriend over to America. Any left over will be used to help his family/other loved ones affected by the war. He’s an incredible, kind, brilliant person and he deserves so much better than all the horrible things happening right now.
I filled in the flag with open source NASA photos. For sale here:

Astronomia from Margarita Philosophica, Gregor Reisch, 1503 over a contemporary NASA photo of the milky way. Prints available on shirts, stickers, magnets, etc! https://www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/152284224
As usual ALL PROCEEDS will go to my Palestinian best friend to help his loved ones through this war and help his girlfriend afford to join him in America. He is the sweetest person in the world (and a truly brilliant scientist) and he deserves to be able to focus on grad school as best he can through this awful genocide without financial stress on top of the emotional toll. I just added a few new versions of my Palestine sunbird:
The keffiyeh is borrowed from my dove drawing:
This is what the real bird looks like:
The Palestine sunbird is a beautiful little passerine found around parts of the Middle East and Africa. They look somewhat like giant hummingbirds (though that is entirely convergent evolution, hummingbirds are actually in the same clade (Strisores) as potoos and frogmouths and stuff, which I find very surprising). These little guys were adopted as Palestine's national bird in 2015. My designs are available on shirts, stickers, mugs and more, here is the link to my collection (click on a design and scroll down to see more product options). Thank you to everyone who has helped so far!
I filled the rose petals in this design with pictures of my keffiyeh. The scarf was a gift from the friend I am raising money for. He gave it to me in mid October, he was very upset at the time and I was trying to comfort him. He took it off and put it on me and insisted I keep it. It is now one of my most prized possessions and I try to incorporate it in a lot of my designs.
ALL PROCEEDS from this and all my other designs are for this friend, to help him support his girlfriend in remaining safely in America until things calm down and to help his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids in the West Bank (this has unfortunately hit his family quite hard) and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. He will donate anything his family doesn't need to the Palestinian charities he works with. He's heavily involved in activism and I trust him to put the money where it can make the most difference.
Here are some examples of this design (found here) on products:
You can find my full shop here, I have a lot of different designs in a bunch of different styles.
Here is a sample of some of the other designs I have (shown here on stickers, available on a lot of products):

Starving grad student running a small Redbubble shop (initially for side income, now for fundraising for my Palestinian friend). Made this blog to share my designs, found here: https://www.redbubble.com/people/fairiedance/shopMy best friend (an absolutely brilliant scientist and compassionate social activist, seriously the best person ever) is a Palestinian grad student studying in America, and a lot of his friends and family are being affected by the genocide in Gaza and the fallout in the West Bank and surrounding areas. I have started selling Palestine related designs in my shop. EVERYTHING I RAISE he sends to his loved ones to help in various ways as the situation progresses.Designs not related to Palestine have been removed from my shop for now (probably for good at this point).
