I put this on a bunch of shirts and stickers and stuff, I figure it'll be good for protests and campus activism. Found here. As usual ALL PROCEEDS are for my Palestinian best friend, to help take care of his loved ones. He'll donate any his family doesn't need to the charities he works with.
To my fellow grad students: this friend and I are working with our department on making it easier for grads to bow out of research they have a moral objection to. We're also working on putting together a statement on Palestine. If you have a lot of colleagues on your side and particularly if you're in a program like engineering, physics, astronomy or applied math (with a lot of military applications) you should try to see where your funding is coming from and support grads in divesting from ethically questionable research. I won't say too much about what we're doing because I don't want to risk doxing my friend, but here are some examples of statements from grads at the Goldman School of Public Policy and the UCSC Astronomy Department. We (STEM students in particular) are the next generation of minds behind the military-industrial complex. It's up to us to make it clear we will not be complicit in work that supports genocide.

Thank you to everyone who has helped out with my fundraiser so far!
I've been working very hard on my fundraising shop, and I just realized I have 100 designs now, in time for the 100th day of war. I plan to keep going until everyone my friend loves is safe and financially secure. Here are some of my designs (displayed on stickers):
You can find all my designs here. Redbubble will display them with a random product, click on each to see all product options (pins, shirts, stickers, bags, hats, etc). Edit: collections cap out at 100 products apparently, so from now on see my full range of designs here on my main page (I have temporarily removed all designs not related to Palestine).
ALL PROCEEDS from my shop go to my Palestinian best friend to help him support his girlfriend in remaining safely in America until things calm down and to help his other loved ones around the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. He will donate anything his family doesn't need to the Palestinian charities he works with. He's been heavily involved in a lot of charity work (for Palestine and for other causes, he's one of those super nice people who's always trying to fix the whole world) for years and I trust him to put the money where it's most needed.
Thank you to everyone who has helped out so far!
I know people get really excited to see Palestine on old maps, because it's proof that it existed long before it was colonized. With this in mind I dug through the Wikipedia on Cartography of Palestine for my next fundraising design. This one is the 1769 Bachiene and Maas version, featuring "Palaestina". I overlayed it on an antique paper graphic to give it this look. I have two versions found here: with and without the flag overlay.
As usual, ALL PROCEEDS from my designs are for my Palestinian best friend, to help him support his girlfriend in remaining safely in America until things calm down and to help his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the Israeli raids in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. He will donate anything his family doesn't need to the Palestinian charities he works with.
All my designs can be found here (Redbubble will display them on a random product, click on each to see more product options). Edit: collections cap out at 100 products apparently, so from now on see my full range of designs here on my main page (I have temporarily removed all designs not related to Palestine).
Here are some examples of the above on products:
And here is a small sample of some of my other work (designs are available on shirts, stickers, pins and many other things):
Thank you so much to everyone who has helped out so far!
Here's an older design from my fundraising shop and some history behind it (EVERYTHING I RAISE supports my best friend and his loved ones):
The Jaffa orange holds a lot of symbolism for the Palestinian struggle. This varietal of the fruit was developed in the 19th century and named for the city Jaffa, where it was first produced for export. It was a major export of the region until the industry declined under British rule and disruption from WWII. Finally the establishment of Israel caused irreparable damage as groves were seized or destroyed by settlers. Israel took over production on the seized land but never achieved the same success with the crop, and what remained of Palestine suffered ongoing violence and blockades preventing the industry from further success. The Jaffa orange has since remained a symbol of the Palestinian homeland, most famously in Ghassan Kanafani's short story The Land of Sad Oranges.
My design, an orange (from a vintage painting) with a Palestinian flag print on the leaf can be found here on shirts, stickers, mugs and more. This is one of my older works, from last November. EVERYTHING I EARN is for my best friend, a Palestinian grad student living in America. The money is sent home to support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries.
You can find all my art in my shop HERE. To see a design on different products click on the display product and scroll down or go here to browse by design. Here's a small sample of my other work (art is available on stickers, clothes, pins, notebooks and many other things):
Thank you to everyone who has helped out so far! We greatly appreciate all the support and we hope you are enjoying your purchases.
These two photos, of an iris and poppies (both flowers that are commonly used to represent Palestine) come from the Library of Congress's "Wild flowers of Palestine" collection. There's a bunch of other old flower photos on there too but I picked these because they are particularly common symbolism. I tweaked the contrast a bit to make them pop more and added the "فلسطين" label to each so the meaning of the photo is more apparent when you stick them on things. They're small photos so only available as stickers and magnets, here and here.
As usual ALL PROCEEDS from my shop are for my Palestinian best friend, to help him support his girlfriend (though she may attempt to travel back home soon, her immediate area has been fairly safe recently and she wants to be near her family) and to help his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. He will donate anything his family doesn't need to the Palestinian charities he works with. He's hoping to donate most/all of it if possible (plus more of his own money) but I want to make sure he has a financial safety net himself first until things are more certain. Grad school pays like shit (which is why I started this shop in the first place, I just switched it from raising money for me to him haha) and so many people he loves are in precarious positions.
You can find my full shop here. To see a design on different products click on the display product and scroll down or go here to browse by design. Here's a small sample of some of my other work, shown on assorted products (products are available on shirts, stickers, notebooks, hats, pins and all kinds of other things, most have a much wider selection than the photos above):
Sorry I've been very bad at keeping up with this recently, I caught another nasty illness travelling for a conference. Thank you to everyone who has contributed! I'll try to start adding new products as best I can as I get caught up on my work.
A new version of this design is now in my fundraiser shop, with a bitmap filter and "فلسطين حرة" (roughly "free Palestine").
EVERYTHING I EARN from my shop is for my best friend, a Palestinian grad student living in America. The money is sent home to support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. For example a recent month's worth of sales went to a relative of his in Lebanon who is helping feed and shelter displaced people.
This design uses a keffiyeh from an open source photo with eyes from a vintage illustrated movie poster. You can find it here on a variety of products (stickers, clothes, prints, etc). Here are some examples of products with this design:
You can find all of my work in my shop HERE. You can filter by product with the menu on the left side of the page or go here to browse by design. Here is a sample of my other work:
Thank you so much to everyone who has helped out! We really appreciate the support.
Three brushstroke overlay photos, two of the Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound's Dome of the Rock and one of the Palestinian flag (edited to add "compound", the dome is not the main prayer hall in المسجد الأقصى, thank you to @freepalestine-believer for pointing out the possible confusion).
For those who haven't seen my posts yet, my best friend (the nicest person I have EVER met, hands down) is Palestinian, and a lot of his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the increasing Israeli raids in the the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. ALL PROCEEDS from these designs will go first and foremost to helping his girlfriend afford to join him in America safely, and after that helping his other loved ones weather this war.
These designs are found in my collection here on stickers, shirts, mugs, etc, along with all of my other work. New stuff being added pretty much daily. The first two should be live now, the last is waiting for approval and will probably be up by tomorrow.
I'd also like to point out the three designs that have received the most attention on Redbubble so far:
Thank you to everyone who has helped out!
A simple edit of this open source image. Slingshots have become a common symbol of Palestinian resistance, as many heavily one-sided conflicts over the years have involved protesters throwing and slinging stones against the Israeli army who are of course fully equipped with guns, tanks and armor.
As usual ALL PROCEEDS from my shop are for my Palestinian best friend, to help him support his girlfriend in remaining in America until it's safe for her to travel back home and to help his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids in the West Bank (this has unfortunately hit his family quite hard) and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. He will donate anything his family doesn't need to the Palestinian charities he works with. You can find the design above here. Here are some product examples:
I have been made aware that this free graphic looks somewhat similar to a Gogol Bordello album cover when on a yellow background, so just be aware of that possible association when purchasing I guess.
You can find my full shop here. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far! Here's a sample of some of my other stuff, displayed on some stickers and pins:
I made a new metal shirt design for my fundraiser, found here (the design is also available on stickers and other things). This one is going for an old school heavy metal aesthetic, I made a black metal style one a while ago too, found here.
ALL PROCEEDS from my shop are for my Palestinian best friend to help him take care of his loved ones. Music is a huge thing I bonded with this friend over. We met through labor organizing so the first album I ever showed him was Panopticon's Kentucky, he'd never heard metal before but took to it immediately. Our first time hanging out properly was a spontaneous night spent in his car showing each other songs after a union event. He introduced me to Umm Kulthum that night, we hung out until about 1 in the morning eating pizza and sharing our favorite artists.
I'd also like to take a moment to highlight one of my personal favorite Arabic language metal/hardcore bands, Znous from Tunisia. In addition to this wonderful album you can also try this song called "Rotzhey Yeladim (Children Killers)" from November. Bet you can guess what that one is about.
Anyway here's a couple more examples of products with this design and the other metal design:
I also have tons of other designs in a lot of different styles. I'm trying to keep making more as frequently as I can until his family is safe (aiming to average out to roughly one design per day though I've been a little behind recently). Here is a sample of my other work:

Less than 2.5 hours until the ICJ delivers an interim ruling. I for sure am not going to be sleeping or getting any work done so I'm just going to reshare a few of my favorite recent designs from my fundraising shop and then work on making more. Of my recent works I probably like the Warhol inspired one I posted earlier this afternoon the most, top left:
ALL PROCEEDS from my work support my Palestinian best friend in keeping his family safe. He will donate anything he doesn't need to the charities he works with. You can find my shop here, the designs are available on a bunch of different things (shirts, stickers, posters, etc).
I really hope things with the ICJ go okay, I'm worried my friend will take it quite poorly if they do nothing. His mental health has finally been starting to improve (I think largely thanks to his wonderful partner being here with him) but I worry this could really set him back. He is the sweetest guy I've ever known, it's heartbreaking watching him go through this. The poor guy has lived through so much terrible stuff and still somehow sees the good in everyone. He's a passionate activist for so many good causes, a brilliant and dedicated scientist and an incredibly kind, selfless friend to so many people. The world would be a better place if more people were like him.
Thank you to everyone who has helped out so far.
This Mahmoud Darwish quote translates roughly to "Peace to a land that was created for peace, yet never saw a peaceful day". Design found here.
As usual ALL PROCEEDS from my designs are for my Palestinian best friend to help him support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. He will donate anything his family doesn't need to the Palestinian charities he works with.
Here are some examples of products with this design. The olive leaves stick out a bit which makes shirt positioning awkward, so I set many of the shirts to back instead of front this time since it looks a little too low on the products otherwise:

Starving grad student running a small Redbubble shop (initially for side income, now for fundraising for my Palestinian friend). Made this blog to share my designs, found here: https://www.redbubble.com/people/fairiedance/shopMy best friend (an absolutely brilliant scientist and compassionate social activist, seriously the best person ever) is a Palestinian grad student studying in America, and a lot of his friends and family are being affected by the genocide in Gaza and the fallout in the West Bank and surrounding areas. I have started selling Palestine related designs in my shop. EVERYTHING I RAISE he sends to his loved ones to help in various ways as the situation progresses.Designs not related to Palestine have been removed from my shop for now (probably for good at this point).
