9TH MARCH DIARY + BOOK REVIEW

DIARY

today me and my family are planning to go to taiping, perak!! our hometown! my mom, dad and i's birth place!! he planned to depart early in the morning but i only woke up at 10am.

after i brushed my teeth, chicken flavoured instant noodles with Australian cabbage were graced with my presence.

i still ate so many things after eating the noodles. (like.. half a steamed pork bun.. cucumber, boiled egg...)

my dad took so darn long to search what a store he wanted to visit halfway through the highway was named after. (SPOILER: we didn't get to buy the biscuits he spent 30 mins searching for prior to our trip)

i was bored out of my mind for the first two hours, sleeping (awakely) for like half an hour then waking up to pee. the petrol station was such a good experience!! the squatting toilet is so convenient for people lazy to wipe the toilet seat.

after an hour we arrived in the city of ipoh! it's really close to taiping but we just couldn't stand it anymore the chicken rice shop there was so famous.

walking past many shoplots we saw a fluffy white cat spotted with gray! i swear i heard it meowing but when i meowed it didn't meow back that cibai!

my dad ordered 3 bowls of butter rice, tauge, white chicken and braised chicken feet! IT WAS SO GOOD LWT ME TELL YOU!!! but the portions were very small. thank god they were because i would've felt more carsick later if it wasn't...

so my dad was researching a biscuit shop in ipoh for half an hour because he forgot the name and directions. when we queued in front of the shop. the person in front of us got the biscuits but we didn't!! "sold out," they said.. "we only made half today," they said...

after exiting ipoh we were on the road for 1.5 hours i think. i felt like it was 1.5hrs. i read my book about animals there. IT WAS SO UNCOMFORTABLE!!!! i felt like the food hasn't completely digested yet. i would feel uncomfortable already if i wasn't in a car but now im also reading a book?! im def asking for it imo. but i cant stop reading the book bc this road trip is so darn boring!!! this goddamn radio station plays the same songs every 2 hours.

when we arrived at my maternal grandmother's house my mom played snake chess with mg younger cousins while me and my dad watched dramas hahaha. im on ep 28 of falling into your smile!!! i can't live without it.

i also ate two fried fishballs from the dining room! hehehe.. nothing really happened in her house. after we left we tried to find food. we went to a hawker stall. when my dad was buying siam laksa, pepper pork belly soup, satay and kuih kak, i was playing my mp3 songs to my mom. she laughed when i tried to sing etoile et toi from kizumonogatari!

i can't. the food was horrible. even i who has a lotta pity for chefs who botched their food i can't forgive this. not when my soup tastes like plain water with pepper in it! it was rm9.90. THE ONE IN KEPONG was so much nicer and 90 cents cheaper. this is supposed to be a small town! even the cheaper one in the city is better?! but that one in kepong is my favourite store ever so i can't judge. the satay was average. it smelled so good but its texture is like chicken breast which im not a fan of.

i forgot to wash my hair today🥺

when i returned to my paternal grandparents' house (where we were staying at), i bathed and played with my phone until i felt guilty and started reading my book which ill be writing a review of later.

A/N: i was also talking to flies and chasing them out of the room but they weren't getting out. and when i was opening the door another fly came in. fucking cibai!!!!

BOOK REVIEW

Big Game by Stuart Gibbs

OKAY. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ FIVE STARS! FULL!

i expected this book to be fcking trash because. i thought people on goodreads were high when reading this book. but no!!! they are perfectly sober.

i think im the target audience here. young teenagers. and mr gibbs served! the cover is really nicely drawn and the hardcover rocks! i got it super half priced at book xcess i love that store. the paper skin of the cover and the hardcover expensive notebook-esque format got me down on my knees!

OK SO. the main character. Teddy. super cute and likable. knows a darn lot about animals. i searched some of the animals he mentioned online and they are. SO CUTE! he's super smart too. reading about 7th grade life just gives me memories! i graduated primary school in covid so it was a comfort to me knowing how normal peoples 7th grade went i guess.

the story is an exciting slow burn. you get to like everyone in the cast and follow teddy and his friends as they try to expand the list of suspects. even though reading about kids trying to solve a mystery isn't that fun, i somehow didn't drop the book. it was like real life in a way. it isn't exciting like tv shows but it portrays real life. you feel like you're actually teddy and things that happen to him might happen to you too.

it's so fun to see them chasing potential killers around and getting wrongly accused. it's so uncertain you might never steadily make a guess on who is the killer. 50 pages later ___ is the main suspect. 20 pages later xxx is likely...? you never hold on to a suspect for more than 60 pages until it makes you doubt yourself and you don't pick suspect to suspect at all.

AND THE PLOT TWIST!!!! yes i said jt i dont need to elaborate don't i. it just means there is an unprecedented plot twist.

the ending was really unexpected and i really enjoyed it. i was bored out of my mind before i read the ending so it was really worth it. (and my time)

A/N - Added in Scaramouche- But I couldn’t think of anything for Xingqiu. I can surprisingly see the majority of the Genshin boys being good at wielding guns, even though they’d probably suck lol

Laser Tag

Childe

Childe is a beast.

Whether it’s in the terrain of his battlefield, or the streets of Liyue playing laser tag, Childe plays to win. He’s always been the competitive type, enjoying the thrill of battle, or in this case, laser tag.

He loves the game.

And of course, you just have to end up on the opposite team as him.

This game is the perfect setup for an enemies to lovers kind of vibe btw. With him shooting at your comrades and eliminating them from left to right, and you doing the same for his team. Very few people stand against him in this game, and his accuracy and sense of battle.

The two of you will spend the entirety of the game playing cat and mouse. Childe chasing after you while you simply escape his sights every time, taking down his teammates while you’re at it.

Childe isn’t as interested in winning, and once you prove to be worthy of a decent laser tag battle, he tries his best to force you to confront him.

Of course you on the other hand take his reckless behaviour to your advantage to turn the game in your favour and strike down his team. You know it’ll piss him off later when you win.

However, it Childe does manage to catch you…

The two of you will fight, that much is obvious. Dodging and attacking him, he will get very into it. Maybe a little too much, but you don’t give in, not until the very end.

Not until he’s on top of you, the two of you toppled over a bunch of hay that cushions your fall when he crashes into you. Not until he’s holding the plastic revolver against your temple, staring straight into your eyes with his signature smirk.

He might sneak a little kiss in there just to throw you off.

But in the end he will make sure he wins, or rather, he eliminates you. He doesn’t care if he doesn’t win the entirety of the game, taking you down was satisfactory enough, and he feels well accomplished and content after.

Would definitely rub it in your face.

If you brush it off as something you didn’t really try in, be prepared to be pinned against the wall and kissed until you admit that you were in fact, doing your best. And yes, he won fair and square.

Bennett

Omg this precious boy-

Bennett will try his hardest, stick by your side and shoot at any approaching target. Considering that the two of you are on the same team, he will promise to protect you.

With one problem.

No matter how well he aims, whether it is going to hit his target or not, the lazer disagrees. Rather, his terrible luck absolutely ruins it and somehow his lazer point ends up somewhere completely else.

“It changed its direction completely!”

Well… you never know, maybe it’s the gun that sends the lazers ray so far off, but considering it’s Bennett, you know it’s no coincidence.

So you end up protecting him.

Dragging him from place to place and shooting down your opponents, the two of you spend your time tripping over random large ass rocks ( with only Bennett’s terrible luck to blame ) and attacking opponents.

You make sure that Bennett is not shot, no matter what. And you give everyone else a terrible glare that basically screams that if they shoot him, they’ll face your wrath.

Nobody shoots Bennett.

By the end of the game, he’ll be grinning ear to ear. And even if he didn’t manage to eliminate anyone, he’ll boast about how his amazing dodging skills pulled him through the game. You’ll agree, lacing an arm around his shoulders and pulling him to the good Hunter to get a good meal.

Just to buy one though, the poor boy can’t cook for his life.

Razor

“Razor… very confused.”

The wolf boy has difficulty with the rules of the game, but the concept of pointing the gun at an opponent and shooting them with a lazer isn’t too hard to grasp.

You find out very quickly that Razor is actually pretty good with aim.

His hands don’t shake for one, and he is so adept to his surroundings that people struggle finding the source of their depleting health. Despite being overall confused at how to play, Razor easily becomes one of the main players taking opponents down.

As someone on his team, he makes sure to keep you by his side the entire time. He understands the elimination part, and he doesn’t want his lupical to get taken out, even if it’s a game.

He can be oddly affectionate at certain times, pushing your face against his chest as he takes out the remaining players in the field you both are in. He will carry you, and take no hesitation when pulling you out of the way, even if it’s a little too rough.

When the game ends, it might take a while to explain to the poor boy that your team won. And that it was a good thing.

Razor will begin to smile when he notices how content you are with it.

Chongyun

This man has the audacity to wield a gun while licking his ‘popsicle.’

Like goddamnit Chongyun, being good at shooting is already a flex, you don’t have to nibble at your popsicle while you’re at it.

You can’t really blame him though, it’s hot outside, and with the sun beaming down on the poor boy's head you know he can’t stand it. Especially with all the adrenaline and yells from opposing teams.

As someone on the same team as him, you take on the job of Chongyun’s personal popsicle restocker, and shooting anyone down once he gets tired. As good as the boy is at shooting, he sucks at keeping himself unknown to the other players.

So you take on the job to make sure they don’t shoot him down.

The two of you are a good team, and if it gets too hot, Chongyun might even let you have one of his popsicles. Of course you don’t have his talent of being able to shoot while having a popsicle in your mouth-

Your team will end up losing though, and even though Chongyun isn’t bothered, he will be slightly worried if you care. The two of you were obviously trying your best, and as long as you both had fun that’s all that matters to him.

But if it really bothers you that much…

He knows you feel comforted by physical contact, so he’ll hold your hand and offer a comforting smile. Tell you that you played well, and that he had fun.

That cheers you up right away.

Kiss him on the cheek please, even though he will flinch at the contact, his cheeks are flushed red and he won’t admit it. But he likes it.

Albedo

Why is it so easy to picture Albedo as a hot sexy stoic mafioso wielding a gun?

Anyways, Albedo is terribly good at wielding a gun. So good at that he only holds the plastic revolver with one hand, never missing a shot as he walks down the streets of Monstadt.

He knows the area well, so good luck trying to sneak up on him. The way his eyes so carelessly sweep the buildings, it hardly looks like he’s trying. Eliminating players with his lasers as he mindlessly strides past the fountain.

Of course, you’re against him.

Albedo isn’t really motivated to play, he’d rather be in his lab experimenting or recording down his discoveries. But he was dragged into this mess, he might as well play his part and support his team.

Albedo won’t hesitate to shoot at you and take you down.

As much as you may be important to you, he plays this game fair and square. He will take you down, or rather, he will try, because you get creative :)

He knows Monstadt well, but he can’t possibly keep his eye on all angles around him. So you’ll aim for his blind spots, throw yourself at him and tackle him to the ground. Simply eliminating him isnt satisfying enough, you need more.

So you turn this into a little game to fluster him.

Tackle him and pin him down, watch him scramble for the gun and then give him a peck on the lips. Watch as his grip loosens, and one of his hands instinctively come to nestle against your hair to pull you closer, and then you pull away.

Watching his idle confusement turn into a light blush on his cheeks is just too good, and how he grows even redder when you start laughing is even better.

Of course his team wins, not that he cares.

The minute the game ends he’s back in his office, conducting experiments. You can go interrupt him though, sneak into his office and press a kiss against his neck. He doesn’t often react or do much to it, but after your linger kiss at the game, he will pull you close and sit you on his lap. Have a proper make out session after you left him hanging with that peck earlier ;)

Scaramouche

This little man is ‘terrifying’.

It’s scary enough that whether you’re against him or on the same team as him, you keep your distance.

“Are you avoiding me Y/n?”

You play on the same team, and even if he’s your boyfriend, you know better than to stay too close when it comes to battle. He shows his cruelty, and you really weren’t looking forward to be put in the middle of that.

‘Unfortunately you didn’t have a choice-‘

Scaramouche will literally drag you, a hand looped around your waist to tug you to his side and take you along with him as he takes down opponents after opponents. He doesn’t ask for your praise, but you still give him it knowing he appreciates it. Mentally.

When he’s tired or bored, he will lean his head on your shoulder, wait there for a bit before jumping back up and shooting a random straggler on the sides. Heavens knows how the boy knows he was there, it’s like he has some sixth sense.

We don’t even want to get into his accuracy and precision, Scaramouche is born a mafioso.

At the end when your team wins, no surprise, give him a hug. Tell him he did well and even if he tries to push away, hold him tight. Even though he could easily pull your arms away if he wanted to, he’ll just pretend to give a little struggle and then give in to your warmth.

i'm officially starting the most boring part of my life. working in a 9 to 5 job counting the stock of products in the company until its dinnertime and writing excel reports during OT.

being a fresh graduate of college, i have chosen to be an intern at utopeeia sdn. bhd to afford my meals and detergent.

the scariest part is the introducing yourself part. hobbies? favourite colour? it's hard to choose, as i am a multi talented individual and likes every colour because i'm not biased.

hey, im ____. i like public speaking, skydiving, writing essays, angering my boss and other scary and extreme things.

yup, im going to let that be my future coworkers first impression of me.

all right, so for the next few days, i'll write my experiences with my friends in the corp!

- he's very normal.

- he sometimes acts so different from his usual self i kind of suspect he just got tired and slept in bed the whole day and his clone comes in the workplace.

- everyone always talks about his "angelic" voice when he's not here

- he's easygoing and is very cheeky IF you know he's joking and being smug

- always gives away candy? why does he have so much of them???

scaramouche

- our bad tempered boss

- scolds us for scaring the customers when it's him who scared them away.. rolls eyes

- he's too grandeur. his whole room is made of glass, an amateur way to display wealth.

- noone likes him except our super straight coworker nina who gushes over every boy who passes by her even if they're assholes

- probably has a wife somehow. (we stole some glances at his photo frame on his desk and it was some wedding photo?! and he was kissing the bride?!)

- at least he's generous and doesn't give us a shitty payroll for the fussy things he makes us do

Diary of 6 March 2022

i was dreaming of some vacation at the sea but it felt stressful. then i got teleported to my grandma's house and a pigeon flew in. so i woke up! i immediately went to check my phone.. haha....

i banned myself from scrolling in the morning and went to read my book. after a while i ate 3 cookies and went in the car with my parents! they are bringing me to Kepong to eat vietnamese food located in a shoplot under a condo~

OMG! it's not open yet.... so we went to a hawker stall we gushed over before finding a parking spot near the vietnamese restaurant. we actually planned to eat there next time since we already wanted to eat at the vietnamese restaurant. it's fate i guess!

i was probably getting weird stares from wearing pjs. its a graphic shirt of a thai god. it's very pretty!! and black PE pants...?? anyway we found a seat really quickly~!!

i ordered black pepper pork stomach soup with rice while my mom and dad ordered porridge and char kuey teow respectively. mine arrived first!! IT WAS RM9. and the soup and all was in a medium sized claypot. IT WAS FULL WITH SOUP AND MEAT????? AND... he gave me a lot of rice too. RM9!??!?!?! 2 AMERICAN DOLLARS!!! Wow.. hehe. what a deal!

when waiting for the food to come my dad called a char siew pau vendor in Pudu, KL to reserve 10 steamed buns for him because the vendor is super popular.. if he doesn't call he'll be too late!

waiting for my dad to come back, i could either daydream or read a book as i didn't bring my phone so i decided to take pictures of strangers posing for instagram photos in the street. my mom deleted them. they went to pet cats under a motorcycle after.

after my dad returned, we promised to buy 2 bottles of soy milk for our aunt and her daughters living near us. BUT I WANTED TO PEE! and her house is far from kl. everytime we're on our way to her house i always burst a kidney aye!

the store my dad wanted to buy soy milk from was a truck next to a shopping complex so you could say i was lucky! we passed by a coding/engineering class on the way. I SAW A KID MAKE A 3D MODEL (on Blender?)!! i want to do it too but i'm afraid of giving up halfway.

after i pissed my dad and i went to buy sengkuang (Jícama), soy milk and shaving cream. my dad passed by AEON and bought jicama, grapes and two cucumbers! when waiting for the soy milk outside he went to caring pharmacy in the shoplots in front of the exit of the mall. i waited outside in the 38 celsius weather... #RIP

we returned to the car where my mom was waiting in after he bought the cream and milk. then we sent the milk to our aunt and went home. it gets boring. after i finish reading my novel, start a new novel and play video games only do i shower. it's 5pm. what a stinky baby!

Today is Alia and Dafiy bday, Happy birthday!!

In the morning, I had 2 hours before my tuition, so i read a bit and watched a few tarot card videos. tuition was lovely, it was history and i learned a few things! tch praised my kbat question's answer.

Then for 10 hours i was stuck in traffic. I took rlly nice pictures. i did tarot readings intuitively to my parents in the car and we reached ipoh in 8 hours. the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed, so the restaurant next to it was packed bc the closed restaurant was like, famous! This is all for today bc there really got nothing happen

Chicken floss bread with choc milk for breakfast.

When I was walking along the school hallways, I saw a student getting lectured by our discipline teacher for wearing sport shoes and i probably looked terrified or soemthing because he averted his gaze to me and stared at my shoes, then called me there too...

"Cannot wear these type of shoe ah." "Ok." "Blah blah blah..." "Ok." "Ok u can go now."

When walking to my class, I saw a morning session teacher probably. He was really fun to talk to.

"Heyy u know where is 2M class?" "Huh why is it your first day?" "No, just my class is currently being used by 4A." "Oh, then I don't know also." Then i see people on the fourth floor waving to who knows what and i point at them and say, "Oh, there?" because i thought it were my classmates lol... "Um no that's form 5 LOL." "Oh.." Then i see my responsible class monitor (U saved me!!) and i shouted her name and waved goodbye to the teacher.

we are using the science lab as a replacement for our class for the first period. i put my bags down and liting asks if i want to go buy the math workbook our teacher wanted us to purchase. while talking to her i looked in my (not so serious anymore) crush's direction and he was looking back at me. i looked away quickly and continued talking to my friend. when we were preparing to leave i looked again to confirm that he was staring and he was. hm. he always does that, looking at me for so long then doesn't look at me for the rest of the day like 🤬🤬🤬.

in recess liting asked me what i ate for breakfast and instead of chicken floss i said dog food... LIKE ON ACCIXENT 😨😨😨😨...

in pjpk me and liting sneaked to the toilet when teacher wasn't looking. we took turns in the same stall because the other toilets weren't working. we talked to each other while pissing if that isn't friendship idk what is!

then we also snuck to the equipment room after we finished our business. THERE WAS SO MUCH STUFF IN IT ❤️❤️❤️❤️

There were rugby balls, bow (with no arrows for some reason), BASEBALL MITTS, CATCHER'S HELMET, BASEBALL BAT AND SOFTBALLS, HOCKEY STICKS AND MORE!!!!! I wore the baseball mitt with a softball in my hand for a while and liting was holding the bat until teacher found us out lololol.. she said in PE we could only play with the mainstream sports... 😒😒😒😒☺️

we mostly chilled in pe.

- we first walked to the upper centre of the field and sat on the ground talking, then walked in a circle once and were motivated to longjump

- we ran and jumped, used a dry leaf as an indicator... she and i jump same length lolol

- then we ran 3 laps from the middle of the field to the slope...

- we are very exhausted, we take off our masks to breathe for a while.. it is certainly nicer without a mask! the breeze~~~

- we walked another lap around the big ass field, resting on a tree near the slope later

- it was time to go home, while walking back to take our bags i saw my (blah) crush mock kissing his best guy friend and i dont know if they really kissed or not they just snickered so loudly after.

DINNER

- i watched major again after dinner, it was so good!!! i like all the characters again!!

"yo wtf ultraman is my generation one lol". hehe so many cute figures. and wafers, gachapon, pre order shit. lolol so ecstatic exploring the damn shop until dad realised xiao gu was here as well. we walked to pjpac and next gen theme park. lolol talked to her there it was so comforting and reality sank in - goingyo sg tmr. not that scared and sad anymore. dinner waisekai so happy hehe. took pics. lou shu fun soup fishball. sugarcane water. talking to liyeen so fun. went 1u again refund brush hehe.

Something that Albedo mumbled once in a blue, almost as if he was his normal self again. Then again, many would argue that he was never really normal in the first place. He was always the ever distanced and well distinguished alchemist of the Knights of Favonius. No one truly knew him well or personally, so it was more than a shock to others that he had found himself a special someone. He started to become his own sort of normal then. A little awkward mess of stumbles and soft words.

The adoration, however, was so very pure. It was so real and true- the kind that could change ones life, either by giving such feelings, or by being the lucky soul to receive them.

(P.S I hope noone from my old class is tuning in because this is really embarrassing. i dreamt of not being able to pick a food in the hawker centre. then somehow LJH talked about so many things to me and i held his hand and ran to char kuey teow stall. it was so breezy and cool!! he had very warm hands.)

we planned to pay our respects at 10. i woke up at 1035. i ate while rushing. i ate a steamed pumpkin bun made by my grandparents and a bite of yiu tiao.

we arrived at the section where my granduncle is at and see many people surrounding his tomb. someone opened a huge arse umbrella over the tombstone so people sticking incense wouldn't get their skin scorched by the sun. when my parents and i came i heard "omg she's so tall!" 5 times (it was inevitable 😏).

after i made my dad stick my incense in the sand, i stood UNDER THE SUN for 30 AN HOUR AT LEAST!!! i switched places 3 times. first i went under a small ass tree next to an unfamiliar relative of mine. i said Hi!! to seem approachable and to manipulate her to cover me with her umbrella😘 and she responded!! she was nice but i didn't reply to most of her statements because this is who i am.

then i went under another 2 umbrellas that were shared with 3 people each. IT WAS STILL SO HOT BRO THE UMBRELLAS DIDN'T DO NUN💔💔💔 my mom is a sadist she made me wear a gray shirt with black streaks. while she wore a blue shirt and my dad a white one? 🤬

after that i gave up and went to a gazebo with my grandma. it was pretty boring. i just daydreamed under there.

then we went to my M grandmother's house. we tabao'ed kuey teow soup, many kuih and 经济饭. my fav was kuey teow soup. it was good but i got bored of it quickly.

i just scrolled through my phone for the next hour then i only went home. WE WERE STICKY ASF!!

after bathing i played genshin for real for the first time in so long! i was hearing demon slayer SFX (my dad was watching) while cooping with someone nice and there came a power supply cut because someone was fixing a cable or something. so uncalled for. i couldn't say bye bye so she must've thought that i hated her or something. i drew without wifi next to the open sliding door to feel the natural wind!! my mom was watching me draw.

after that we gkt bored and went to eat dinner. luckily i bought a book bc it took so long for the food to come. it was worth it though it was a top tier feast. salted egg mantis shrimp, special edition beancurd with suspicious black sauce, yau mak with fried garlic and carrots, curry fish and okras.
