Let’s just talk about this birthday picture from Karlie to Taylor for a second. Regardless of the caption, look at this damn photo.

Taylor’s fingers are LITERALLY on Karlie’s neck. Now, usually, to tell if I’m reaching or if the situation is actually, in fact, gay, I put myself in the situation. So I ask myself, would I place my hand in that position if I were taking this exact same photo with my best friend? The answer is NO. My best friend would be like, “why the fuck are your fingertips half way up my neck???? Don’t touch my neck!” The neck is incredibly sensitive and I think it’s odd that best friends would take a photo like this. Now, let’s just pretend for a moment that we know for a FACT that Karlie and Taylor are not together and never have been. Looking back at their selfies in the past, they’re all really gay regardless lmao. I would never essentially spoon my best friend and wrap my arms around her from behind leaving ZERO space between us while she puts her hand over mine.

Nor would I do the same pose and kiss my best friends cheek while I stand behind her pressing my entire body against hers.

And you know what else I wouldn’t do with my straight platonic friend? Rest my hands on her ass after we just held hands and modeled lingerie together, then like a bunch of posts on tumblr talking about how gay it was.

Some people say that they’re not an item, but even if you don’t believe in their romantic relationship, you have to admit that they have done some pretty questionable gay shit together like writing in the sand that they love each other…

Lastly, you know what else I wouldn’t do for my straight platonic friend? Get matching rings and feel the need to SNEAK into her New York apartment during NYFW.

I’m not sure if they’re together because I’m not them nor do I know them personally, but if we’re being real, they act like more than best friends. Kudos to them for being the biggest celebrity trolls if they have never been romantically involved cause they sure have hinted otherwise. Even their past gay track record isn’t the cleanest or straightest I’ve ever seen.

But Taylor has been telling us that despite the sadness, fear, and sense of doom that comes with it, being with her star-crossed lover is the only shade of blue for her.

And gang, she recently framed this singular blue for us. It’s a “midnight blue,” according to Taylor.

Everyone lost their minds after she said the glitter puke and blood in the “Anti-hero” music video is “midnight blue,” but it wasn’t exactly just gaslighting.

It’s Taylor meditating on a theme in her life and art—a blue, a sadness,a melancholia that she feels most deeply in the dead of night, lying awake wondering about love, life, and who she is.

It’s also a blue in which she is submerged, in a fishbowl, in a haze, that is the only thing she really believes in despite the big hoax surrounding her (the idea that her lover’s love is faithless being the “Hoax”).

It’s the “true blue” of someone who knows her for her, is loyal, and dives into this life with her despite it all.

It’s the true blue she bleeds and the true blue that pours out when she spills her guts or the walls come down.

And it’s lavender.

Mastermind's "The Love Story of Sagittarius and Pisces - A Haze"

I think it's very interesting how Mastermind (the song) was very much prominent in the mv. Making it seem like the perfect love story.. ~Star-crossed lovers~ the Sagittarius and Pisces. But when the camera zooms out, you see that there's a typewriter on the side.. letting the viewer know Taylor's a (or THE) writer of it.

We flashback to the time before she met him. Taylor on a daisy couch, wearing a daisy dress, stuck in a room again.. reports of a storm can be seen (specifically in the St.Louis / IL border, (Big Sur) California, and Nashville Tennessee - windows boarded up after the storm / The rain is always gonna come, if you're standing with me) but when she saw him, the weatherman, you'd think she fell in love with the way she's staring.. but in reality she was seeing through him, the freedom in the fishbowl she wanted to have... expanding OUTSIDE the house.. out to the galaxy / universe.

I'm so in love that I might stop breathing. Drew a map on your bedroom ceiling (Map literally on the TV). No, i didn't see the news (weatherman), 'cause we were somewhere else (Galaxy - imagining their freedom, their escape through the haze, through him).

She knows she's stuck in a fishbowl - the 1989 room in the Lover mv proves that she can only have her lover in limited spaces inside their house.. even having to pretend when there are visitors.. but that doesn't mean she can't expand her fishbowl right? For her (and her lover) to move freely, outside of just the 4 walls of their room / house, she needs "smoke and mirrors", a haze, a distraction.. to make their world bigger. She literally saw the galaxy through him (Pisces).

So she writes their "love story", put them in her songs which then enabled the distraction from her true lover. She's all smiles with him around people (no idea if they are friends, fans, acquaintances etc.), emphasis on cameras (both film and photograph) documenting their "love story" (complete opposite of - romance is not dead if you keep it just yours). The weatherman is even wearing a jacket (with a sun sleeve) from Story MFG (MFG meaning Manufacturing.. Story Manufacturing..).. the manufactured Sun? She put everyone into this Lavender Haze, to make them believe.

Some people seem to move choreographically... again, manufacturing.

Love the scene of card games and the pizza box. It could be any card game, but these lines from New Romantics come to mind "It's poker, he can't see it in my face.. But I'm about to play my Ace" - Poker, a game where you literally deceive people.

As for the pizza box.. it's a reference to her old Stephen Colbert guesting. " 'Hey Stephen' isn't about you STEPHEN. - Taylor, Those are all pictures of me. - No. THIS IS A PIZZA". Taylor poking fun at people believing every word she says of what a song is about (PISCES constellation you guys!!), even if every other easter egg are in fact about something (or someone) else. (daisy dress, daisy couch, St. Louis, Big Sur, Letter K, Eye theory and so on). She found a way to hide her truth from the public because they believe EVERYTHING she says.

In the end, after putting everyone under the Lavender Haze, they believed her smoke and mirrors manufactured "Love Story", she can now go outside of the house. The haze afforded her to expand, to roam free and to now be undetected by the public. In the beginning, the haze / cloud / bearding weighed her down, because she couldn't be free to live her actual life, but when she planned everything and became a mastermind of her own freedom to hide her actual truth, it became a security for her. It didn't weigh her down anymore.

Now only a handful of Fan(s) can see her truth (call back to the Rep room with fans in the Lover House). These fans who can't be put under her Lavender Haze spell, even chases them away to see her clearly for who she really is. Maybe for now, she is fine with this situation. Maybe it's the safest, at least some could still see her for who she is and loves her anyway right?
