second baby 5 ship in a row! she's one of my favorites so i love giving her partners she can be obsessed with </3 as i said before, nothing wrong with sai x baby 5, i just prefer a different dynamic when it comes to baby 5 ships!
baby 5 and bart aren't as random as some of my other rarepairs, since they were together in dressrosa. it's such a shame we never got the chance to see them interacting :( they could have had a really fun dynamic... imagine baby 5 falling in love at first sight with bart, while he's so weirded out by it at first, but then becomes kind of intrigued. ohhh i'm so not normal about them. i'm sorry
we know baby 5's taste in men is peculiar to say the least, so bartolomeo could be a perfect target for her attention. maybe while they were dealing with doflamingo's birdcage bart shot baby 5 a compliment, not thinking much of it, and she absolutely fell for him. and then baby 5's usual shenanigans ensued. like, her telling him how he's so sweet and respectful and they should get married, while bartolomeo doesn't get any of it and is just so confused because he's not used to this type of attention at all... but then he warms up to her and starts telling her about his love for the strawhats and how he's so excited about finally meeting them in person (in true unfiltered autism fashion), and baby 5 just listens to him so attentively because she finds this side of him very endearing...
i love the idea of them together because they're just two people that are both seen as "weird" by society, even though the only unusual thing about them is that they have developed a way of showing their love that is so unfiltered and passionate in response to their difficult and traumatic past. even though they don't look like it at first glance, they share many similarities. they could have worked really well together in canon, too: the developing of their relationship could have been a breeding ground for many funny gags. oda you really fumbled the bag this time

Sabo Week Day 4 - Memories
given my inability to draw anything thats even remotely sad (or emotional in any way), i went with teen sabo and teen koala for today :3
based on my headcanon that sabo isn't that good at fishman karate- well, he is, but he got rusty after focusing on other types of combat with dragon- so koala would always spar with him only to kick his butt everytime, resulting in sabo growing frustrated. definitely a cherished memory for him

iāve seen a lot of people genuinely confused about shachi and penguinās relationship in canon. i happen to be hyperfixated on them both, so i thought iād write a post briefly explaining the origin of their bond!!
i think the confusion stems from the fact most one piece fans havenāt read lawās novel, and learned more about penguin and shachi exclusively through the wiki, which (despite the editorsā much appreciated work) sometimes lacks info. when the wiki says ātheir parents were killed in a tsunamiā it doesnāt mean they share the same parents, as someone seems to think. this is clarified in lawās novel (thank you @/odaslaughtale for your translation!), in the paragraph where penguin opens up about their past.
plus, if they were related, i donāt think there would have been a point in specifying the people that took them in after the death of their parents were exclusively shachiās relatives and not penguinās.
we donāt know exactly when shachi and penguin met, but since their parents knew each other and it was normal for the two families to hang out together, itās not a stretch to think they have known each other since birth due to their parents being friends or something like that. it warms my heart just thinking about it sorry
i obviously donāt have anything against people that see penguin and shachi as siblings; everyone is allowed to interpret the relationship between characters as theyād like (when no type of bond is explicitly stated in canon!!!), and exchanging ideas and headcanons is without doubt one of the best parts of fandom culture. however, i donāt want people to unknowingly spread misinformation, especially since lawās novel isnāt available in all languages and some may not have access to it. so i thought a post like this might be useful!!
