i feel like, while you can definitely be like "i have some trust in this person based on how this person has handled their fanbase and heavy subject matter in the past"... you also have to remember you don't know these people and you can't say for certain what they're like behind the scenes

it's why i try to say things like "i trust phil's judgement" instead of "i trust phil" (or whoever, i'm just using him as an example)
