I think Batman is genuinely thrown any time someone he dates as Brucie Wayne is legitimately attracted to him because he’s acquired such a reputation among women as Gotham’s Most Prolific Beard that if a woman asks him out he assumes she’s a lesbian trying to keep the media from outing her.

I don’t have a canon basis for this I just think it’s neat.

korean bl dramas ~ part 1

Listening to Nirvana and it reminds me of Batman (thanks Patterson) and I just got a thought. Is I just me or would Tim drake have the best Kurt Cobain voice?

Like Tim can’t sing at all until nirvana comes on and it just fits his voice. Jason would both love and hate it. Dick would pray for Tim to stop quoting random lyrics at him (it sounds like gibberish until they recognise the song). Damien doesn’t get it. And Bruce is a proud dad.

Star Wars Au where everything is nearly the same but Obi-Wan shaves off his beard during clone wars. He probably would have grown a beard not long after being knighted and getting Anakin, because it made him seem older and gained him more respect. He has had it for so long that Anakin barely remembers the young man he had first met. Then in beginning of Clone wars film, maybe the assassin gets a lucky shot and it singes the beard. Now the beard is uneven and Obi-wan shaves it off so he can regrow it.

But now he looks barely older than he was when he was first knighted and all of a sudden Anakin is like ‘must protect’! Now everyone is suddenly aware at how young Obi-Wan was when he was burdened with a lot of responsibility and everything is still the same but the relationships with Obi-wan is dialled up ten notches. All while Obi-wan himself has figured this out and coincidently keeps shaving so that he can use this new sway to change the course of the war.

Korean dramas I love.

Light on me. On Viki and it is the best love triangle drama. Boy wants to have friends and falls in with the school council and their problems. Adorable and you can’t hate any of the protagonists.

Devil judge. Dystopian universe where a judge takes down powerful people through the media. I ship the male leads because they have great chemistry but it’s not canon. Great drama and amazing acting, rather dark themes.

Colour rush. A soulmate bond between two boys and how it develops. A boy lives in a black and white world and meets the boy who brings his colour. Dark themes of suicide and murder but happy ending.

Strong girl bong soon. Girl has super strength and her journey as a hero and finding romance. Amazing male leads. Has funny parts but explores ideas of femininity. On Viki and Netflix.

Sweet home. A apartment complex fights monsters as they deal with the end of the world. Horror filled, gory and has amazing action. The characters are well written and the drama is brilliantly filmed. High key recommend. On Netflix.

Strangers from hell. Slow thriller with gay undertones. Subtle creeping horror with murder and amazing acting. The build up is good. On Netflix.

The uncanny counter. Puppy dog protagonist and found family vibes. Boy searches for the person who killed his parents whilst banishing evil spirits. Supernatural. Really well done, the mc is so adorable. On Netflix.

Mr heart. Adorable tale of what love is and what it can mean to a person. Gay drama, there is a movie version too. Could be filmed better, but they had a small budget. On Viki.

The tasty Florida. Another short gay drama. Adorable and fluffy about a restaurant and romance between a chef and a new boy to the city. On Viki.

My sweet dear. Enemies to lovers. Rivalry between two chefs for a restaurant position. Short bl drama. The actors are beautiful. On Viki.

True beauty. Girl tries to find her idea of beauty through makeup and environment. Explores how girls can view their self worth. On Viki.

Chinese bl dramas for those who loved The Untamed.

I watch a lot of Asian dramas and thought that since Chinese (b)romance (it’s so bro it’s gay) dramas are becoming more popular since the untamed joined Netflix, I thought I’d recommend some more for people to watch. These are some I really enjoyed. Hope you enjoy them too.

Word of honor. It’s already on Netflix. Amazingly well done. The plot twists are amazing and the main characters are soulmates. There is seven minute epilogue episode that is not on Netflix, so you will want to watch that.

Love is more than a word. Short 12 episode drama on YouTube with English subtitles. Very well done and the characters are really endearing and their romance is amazing.

Till Death tear us apart. Has the exact same cast as the one above^. If you watch that one first then Till death tear us apart then it’s like they have been reincarnated. Amazing romance set in the communist revolution. Extremely well acted and amazing costumes. On YouTube.

The silent criminal. Enemies to (b)romance. Criminal joins up with a soldier trying to find a hidden weapon. Funny and adorable. On Viki.

Winter Begonia. Love between a rich man and a male Chinese opera singer. There is such a good build up in their relationship. On YouTube with eng subs.

My roommate is a detective. (Not a bl unfortunately but still fruity) Hilarious main character. (B)romance between the detective and the chief of police. Sherlock Holmes inspired drama set in the 1920s. On Viki.

Oh my General. Straight main couple but explores ideas of femininity and Masculinity. Female is a badass general and the male is a beautiful spoiled city boy. Funny and dynamic. On Viki.

Guardian. Like The untamed and Word of honor, a (b)romance based off a bl book. Fantasy show set in the modern era with funny characters and good mysteries. On Viki.

Arsenal Military academy. (Not a bl but fruity anyway). Girl dresses as a boy to attend a military school. Set in the 20s. A lot of bromance and guys having a crises like Shang from Mulan. On Viki.

Advance bravely. Has Gong Jun from Word of honor. Another (b)romance based of a bl book. The main characters have good chemistry and a funny dynamic. Side couples are also interesting. Ends a bit ambiguously. Set in modern era. On Dailymotion.

Painted skin: the guo jingming edition. Fantasy based short film. Poignant and beautiful. On dailymotion.

Wuliang. 30 minute short movie. Amazingly done. Really well done despite its shortness. Has the same actors play the male leads as Painted Skin. If you watch that first you can view them both as reincarnation. So beautiful and emotional. On Dailymotion.

The Ying Yang master: Dream of eternity. Same director as the two short films above. Chinese fantasy film not to be confused with the other Ying Yang master film. Amazing with a enemies to Bromance with a beautiful film style. Full of action and intrigue and a tragic romance. On Netflix.

The lost tomb. (There’s various dramas of this name, five and then a reboot. They’re all based off the same books and I recommend them all). Found family with an immortal man and they go on Tomb Raider style avengers. Gay undertones but not canon. On Viki.

Under the skin. A crime drama where a artist joins the police force. Enemies to brothers relationship (though I wish it was more gay). Really interesting and great cases. On Viki.

League of noblemen. Historical murder mystery drama with a Sherlock Holmes type character. Very beautifully filmed but I am still confused over who the Male Lead is in love with cause they guy has three love interests.

I love the lighting and the filters on him. And with the writing, he looks like he could be on the cover of a magazine!

Next it’s Byeongkwan! I don’t have as many images of him because he didn’t stay still very long and they kept on ending up blurred.

That pink lighting on his face and the pop of colour from his shoes. It looks so surreal and cool. Boy looking fine.

Chan be looking mystical with the purple backgrounds. How he can look so good in a bathtub? I do not know. I thought he was innocent and baby until I realised what he was singing.

I was watching Ace’s mv Lucky, looking for images I could use in my art, and I slowed it down to 0.25% speed.

If you’ve ever watched the mv then you know how amazing it is. The colour, the editing, the band. All so cool and pretty. But when I slowed it down I got to fully see all the cool editing that they use. So I thought I would share with you some of the aesthetics images I got.
