I'm here to finally talk about the world I made for a story for one of my OCs (my dearest darling emo Veronica) and that I've been currently making a sanders sides au in. I don't have a name for it yet, but oh well.
First of, the setting: it's a pretty normal modern setting, but with magic.
Next, magic! The three main things that determine someone's magic ability:
Raw magic, everything has a set amount of max raw magic, the more raw magic you have the more spells/more powerful spells you can perform before you need to rest (basically mana/spell slots)
knowledge, knowing how to utilise your magic, things like spells and rituals, the theoretical stuff.
And lastly proficiency and control, knowing how to use your magic in practice, the more used you are too using your magic the more control you have, the less raw magic goes to waste..
There's witches, humans, magical creatures, and the children of witches/humans and magical creatures(i don't have a term for it yet)
Everything has an amount of raw magic, but witches have a significantly high amount of it, and the inherent unique ability to tap into it.
Humans still have magic, but a fairly low amount, and can't really naturally tap into it. The only noticeable physical difference between humans and witches are the ears, humans have round, witches have pointy.
Magical creatures are full of magic, but they can't utilize it the same way witches can. There are three main categories of magical creatures.
Fauna: magical animals that live in the world.
Spirits/elementals: they embody parts of the world/ concepts.
Demons: beings from different worlds/realms.
Magical creatures often serve as familiars for witches due to their ability to absorb raw magic, and transfer it. They form a symbiotic relationship with a witch, where they absorb excess raw magic from the witch, which helps keep a witch's magic levels stable and manageable, and when needed they can boost a witch during spells by channeling the magic they've gathered back.
The offspring of a witch and magical creature used to be feared, due to people thinking they would have the ability to cast powerful spells by absorbing others raw magic. But no, they can absorb small amounts of excess raw magic, but not much, and they don't really have the inherent ability to use it the same way witches can, they really just got the short ends of both sticks
That's all for now, hope it made sense
They're not done, but you get the idea
I've had them on my mind for so long I need it out there before I go feral. Enjoy
Here ya go, a lill guy, just a silly, sweet, innocent little friendly guy, would never do anything wrong-
Oh, oh no
You’ve been robbed, fooled, bamboozled
Sorry
It’s the same au I mentioned earlier
Still don't feel like explaining everything yet, but he's the child of a witch and magical creature/spirit
He may not have a lot of explicit magic, but he has a whole lot of other stuff going on
Sanders Sides as Ao3 pt. 26
Reblog if its ok to spam you with boops
You know what? I think all the sides could be cats without having to bastardise their characters
Y'all ever look at a messy dysfunctional mlm ship and go "if they were lesbians they'd either be actually functional, or just so so much worse"
Like they'd either be so much better, or the epitomy of toxic Yuri.
That's anxceit to me <3
Your Stupid Face by Kaden MacKay makes me think of both anxceit and pre-AA prinxiety
Am I really gonna talk about the "hear me out cake" video again? Am i really gonna read too much into it again?
Yes. Yes i am
So as I've mentioned before, Virgil is a tublrina, and I think therefore he would be a really bad judge about what is, and isn't unusual to be attracted to (from my interpretation of the dragon comment)
Now why am I bringing this up? Simple, to answer the burning question on everybody's minds!:
"why didn't Virgil pick X character?"
Now, what do I think the answer is? Can you guess?
It's cause a "hear me out cake" is supposed to feature "hear me out"s (duh) aka, questionable crushes/attractions that you feel like you'd have to defend for people to accept. Not conventionally attractive characters. and I think Virgil would absolutely struggle to know what qualifies.
And I mean, the people people are bringing up, I think it's completely fair Virgil just didn't think they qualified.
Like: mothman? Who doesn't want mothman?!? Jack skellington? That's just a conventionally attractive alt man??
I also think it's worth noting that I think as anxiety, he would absolutely be extra cautious with who he chooses, if he isn't 100% sure, he's not gonna risk it!
And that's the jist of it, I don't remember all his picks as I've only watched it once, so I don't remember if he had any truly basic ones. But if he does, I honestly think it just makes it funnier. Like he thinks mothman is just definitely more universally fuckable
Just a lill they/them lesbian :) I draw sometimes Be gay do crimes
