Day 20 - Desert
Day 19 - Omen
Day 18 - Flying The Half-bird, Half-woman figures. In greek mythology, Harpies at the command of Zeus who was able to use their incredible speed and strength as 'the hounds of zeus'. The harpies frequently flew out during storms, represent the loss of souls and lives during them. They took the souls of those in the storms and carried them across to the underworld as flocks in the sky.
Day 17 - Dark With an appearance similar to Fauns in mythology, the goat man resides in Bowie, Maryland as a protector of the "Goat man bridge" who supposedly scares off and attacks anyone who dares cross it at night. Responsible for death/missing cases for many dogs in the area. Whilst the legend started in 1970, the high number of calls and reports were pranks, and many used the Goat Man name as a joke for the local cops such as graffiti saying "Goatman was here".
Day 16 - Reptile
Whilst there has been tales of a beast living in the Loch, it wasnt until 1933 when the famous Loch Ness Monster truly took off and sparked curiosity and wonder. When a couple found a giant dragon or prehistoric like monster climbing out of the lake which led to a hunt following severy zoologists and hunters alike to uncover the truth. The descriptions closely resemble a plesiosaur, a long extinct aquatic dinosaur. All evidence found, one way or another have been discredited or thought to be a hoax and indecisive enough to be proof. Despite this, scotland will always hold 'Nessie' to heart as people to this day still travel across the globe to see the Loch in hopes of catching a glimpse.

Day 15 - Spectral There are a few different origins behind the infamous Bloody Mary, the ghost behind the mirror. Some say an Axe Murderer, some say a witch, and one of the strongest leading origins is Mary I of England in the 1500s, who had killed over 300 protesters by burning them at the stake. Playing the bloody mary game requires a dimly lit bathroom and chanting her name 13 (undecided number) of times before she appears. Sort of an act of "Divination" but I think nowadays people just want to see some cool ghosts.
Day 14 - Cryptid In 1811, the explorer David Thompson was responsible for finding the footprints of the 'Sasquatch' with other vague discoveries and mysteries following with 1967 in Northern California with the infamous, albiet incredibly blurry photo of the legendary Bigfoot. SInce then, they've been on media of all kinds, with hunters searching the entire northwestern regions of America looking for a glimpse of the famous beast. Admittedly, I just think they aren't big on attention. (or it was a suit.)
Day 13 - Urban In 1935, it was claimed in East Harlem that an 8-foot Alligator inside of their sewer systems, which was publicized intensely and spawned the claim and urban legend that there's Alligators all across NYC's underbelly, along with spawning the same rumours in other cities aswell. According to old stories, they were flushed down to the sewers, and found each other, quickly bonding with one another soon after to thrive. Realistically, the sewers arent healthy enough to have any fully grown alligators roaming underneath, especially in Manhattan. But there's been reports of rescuing small babies, so perhaps this is one of the most believable?
Day 12 - Mimic In mythology, there has been many records of shapeshifters. The earliest recorded we can find being, "The Epic of Gilgamesh" ancienct sumerian poems dating back to the third dynasty where 'Gilgamesh' encounters a forest demon named 'Humbaba' who was able to change their form and fight for hours on end. This card, however depicts the more known Mimics seen in fantasy settings... Be careful where you buy a drink I suppose!
Day 11 - UFO Easiest to guess prompt yet! Did you know, the first recorded sight of any UFO was actually back in 1665! A swarm of birds transformed into a spinning saucer above St. Nicholas church and commencing an air battle. However, as almost everyone knows now, the most famous alien/ufo sighting is the 1947 Roswell, New Mexico crash. Despite likely being a weather balloon, it spawned a craze of extraterrestial life shifting the sci-fi genre and cryptid believers forever with the promise of life out in the stars. They probably exist, but might not be visiting anytime soon.
Day 10 - Claws Werewolves, also known as the Lycanthropes, originate all the way back to ancient Greece and Rome philosphy texts and poems. Then in Middle Ages, 1500s there are tails of the more popular/recognised werewolves as hostile devils who devour human flesh, supposedly there were outbreaks and reports of people being and accused and executed during this time. Nowadays, I think many people wish they could be one.
Day 9 - Whiskers The chupcabra, claimed to have been found in Puerto Rico, Mexico and USA first seen in 1995. This monster is typically described to be very similar to canines however it's also known for vampire-like attacks on cattle, particularly goats and sheep in the farmlands. It's very likely the chupacabra, on multiple occaisons they were simply loose, malnourished coyotes which is the most popular theory. (On a personal note, this is the one that got me into researching these subjects to begin with!)
Day 8 - Fungus The Kayeri are a folklore found in Colombia and Venezuela, much taller, larger and faster than the average human they are capable of swiping the local cattle in their arms to feast on soon later as prey. Despite their fungi appearance, they are far more vicious in the stories than you'd realise with an alarming amount of misdeeds within their tales. In this sense, you can categorise them equivalent to Ogres with many comparisions to be made. Never judge a beast by its appearance, we've learned today.
Day 7 - Amphibious the Loveland Frog man is not only a very popular folklore in the local areas, but also the Loveland mascot! First spotted in 1955 in Loveland, Ohio. The most recent sighting claimed to be 2016. Standing at 4 feet tall, this frog has festivals held in it's name on every leap year. Get it?
Day 6 - Myth, The Chimera, from Greek mythology is a fire breathing being fusion between a Lion, Goat and Snake! Found in Lycia, this monster in it's story was slain by a hero riding atop a pegasaus. Chimeras however, are able to be more than just this combination. As it turns out, the Hydra and Cerberus are both siblings to the monster!
Day 5 - Aquatic Water Spirits are found amongst many different cultures' mythology such as Celtic, African and Greek. They're supernatural folklore depicting elemental spirits, often representing as nymphs, sirens and mermaids in most regions. Did you know Jellyfish have some spiritual connection too? In many places of history, they symbolise life and death.
