—In earlier versions of the script, Carl had scenes that showcased more of his butler-like qualities. For example, his audition script featured a haircut for Mrs. Robinson.
—Ryan Stiles and Weird Al were considered for the role
—In one deleted scene, Carl shows Wilbur a piece of paper that tells him to go away. On this paper is a border illustration of Winnie the Pooh characters. In a strange coincidence, director Stephen J. Anderson would go on to co-direct a Winnie the Pooh film.

So, yeah, that's all! :D
Reblog this, so the others can ask you questions or answer them all right now, if you want to :>
And now I'm going to make it everyone else's problem by shoving my headcanons in your faces. *And you're going to like them.*
The Framagucci siblings have gone no-contact with their toxic parents. Evidence? Well, I don't have any, I just like the idea that Lewis yearned to be a part of a loving family and fell in love with a girl who grew up in a family with not-so-loving parents.
Art is the oldest, Gaston is the middle child, and Franny is the baby. I can picture Art having a job in high school in order to help pay the bills, which then shaped his work ethic and gave him a passion for his current job. Unfortunately, that also made him a bit of a workaholic.
Gaston was never considered a "forgotten" middle child, as he made sure he got the most attention from the whole town. He's even a record holder for "most banned citizen", as he's prohibited from most of the local stores and restaurants.
Franny is one of the only family members with a criminal record, after she incited a riot in a concert hall when the conductor tried to step on her frog, Frankie. Gaston insisted on putting a printed copy of her mugshot into the family scrapbook.
Bud and Lucille only argue about one thing during their entire marriage--the pronunciation of the word "pecan". It had gotten so intense that Bud spent a week sleeping on the couch, until they both forgot what they were fighting about.
Cornelius and Billie have bonded over their time spent in orphanages. While Cornelius shared his feelings about being abandoned as a baby and never understanding why his mother left him on the doorstep, Billie confided in him about how her parents had regularly dumped her at an orphanage throughout her childhood, whenever they "needed a break". Once she turned eighteen, she left their house for good and began train hopping across her home country.
Tallulah's love for history was Cornelius' original motivation to inventing the time machine, and he allowed Laszlo to help design the prototype so he didn't feel left out.
While Fritz' puppet, Petunia, is modeled after his late wife's appearance, her personality has since become angrier and more tumultuous due to his grief upon her passing. She has even scared off several therapists over the years.
Joe runs a fitness blog in which he reviews workout videos, offering advice to improve the instructors' lessons. While he didn't pursue a career with it, he has a master's degree in kinesiology.
Laszlo and Tallulah have a former step-mother, who the family avoids talking about to the point that Wilbur still has no idea she exists. Her relationship with Fritz ended poorly.
Wilbur started his own conspiracy theory about himself being a time traveler, which many people over the years have believed and discussed online.
Spike and Dimitri are, in fact, related to one side of the family. Which side? Doesn't matter.
for me <- guy who is getting back into MTR… and really likes Laszlo….

Hear me out:
I headcanon that Franny's middle name is Fiamma (it just feels right), so her whole name is Francesca Fiamma Framagucci, so her initials would be FFF.
In music terms, FFF means fortississimo.
What if Cornelius calls Franny "Fortississima" as a pet name? 🥹
The 10th anniversary cake for Meet the Robinsons. This event was held inside the Disney studio. (The three cake toppers still survive and are kept inside a shadow box in director Stephen J. Anderson's home)
"x has been done before" no experience is unique. all art is born out of connection. rejoice in being part of something bigger than yourself
--The time machine does indeed have a hidden mickey on it, but no where in the current cut of the film can it be seen. --Mildred was originally Caucasian in early versions of the film. --In one version of the film, Wilbur dies. --Aunt Billie at one point was designed in a way that made her look like an old grandma. --One early version of the script involved going to a Banana Cream Pie planet. --MTR started as a live action project. --One version of the film featured a pillow fight between the Robinson family members. --Doris was not always the Big Bad Villain that she is today. BHG was originally the Big Bad Villain and he had a name: Mortimer Klinch or Morpheus Pink. Both names were considered. (May have to spellcheck those but I know I have the pronunciations correct.) --The wrap party for the film was held on the roof of the Petersen Automotive Museum (pre-remodel). --The premiere had spaghetti and meatballs :) --The director and his family were invited to Club 33 at one point for a Meet the Robinsons themed party and the restaurant served both spaghetti/meatballs and pbj for the event. (Lewis and Wilbur were also there to greet guests) --The director has a giant time machine statue (with figures of Lewis and Wilbur inside it) in his home. Originally, the figure was hanging inside one of the Disney studio buildings. Now it's in the corner of his living room! --The 10th anniversary party of the film featured a customized cake that was designed in the shape of the number "10", with the 1 made to look like the orphanage building, and the 0 decorated to look like Future City.
Watching a playthrough of the meet the robinsons game!
getting back that motivation and passion for the hobby you stopped is such a good feeling.
what’s meant for me will find me yes but I also have to meet it halfway and encourage it to happen so it does
I think Cornelius watches the Hallmark channel for the holidays. Something they had on at the orphanage and it's comforting to him
“do you know where you’ll be headed in 5 years?” no. but i do know about themes and motifs. and friendship. and putting garlic on everything
give it up for bread with soup
Now that we're officially in the Holiday Season what is your headcanon for the Robinson Family's favorite Christmas movies?
Ooooh I love this question! Here's my list of what each of the Robinson's favorite Christmas movie is:
Cornelius: All the classic claymation movies (The Year Without A Santa Claus, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, etc. Ever since he was adopted, his parents would turn those on while they decored their house.) 🥹
Franny: The Santa Clause. 🎅 (She's been watching it every year since she was a little girl.)
Wilbur: The Nightmare Before Christmas. 💀🎄 (Franny made it a point to show him all the classics, and he went through a phase where he dressed up as Jack Skellington for a month straight. 🤭)
Bud: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. 🎅🎄
Lucille: Miracle on 34th Street. 🫶
Fritz: A Christmas Story. He makes it a point to watch the 24-hour rerun special every year. 🕰
Petunia: A Christmas Carol. (She rraltes to Scrooge a little too much...) 👻
Laszlo: Krampus. (I get the vibe he's not a huge fan of the warm and fuzzy Christmas movies, and he prefers horror films. 🤷♀️)
Tallulah: Elf. 🎄🗽
Joe and Billie: The Polar Express. 🚂 (They bonded over their love for it ❤️)
Art: Home Alone. 🏠
Gaston: How the Grinch Stole Christmas 🎄😈
Spike and Dimitri: They just watch whatever is on through the window. 🪟🫣
Rewatched MTR (2007) recently, saw Wilbur would've been born sometime this year (2024), binge-searched the tags, decided to doodle them for the first time, temporary interest increased.
I would've loved a sequel to this movie exploring more of the potential relationship with Cornelius/Franny and a happy Goob.
save me used book that costs $3... $3 used book save me
emojis for those of us who love to smile and grin. spread them like an invasive species. no need for credit go crazy go wild get scary
I love when characters are always drawn in lab coats even outside the lab because it implies that 1) they are either constantly violating lab safety rules or 2) they have a second, casual lab coat purely for external use
