It's always funny to me when antis try to downplay katsudeku's relationship. Bro even if you hate the relationship, you should realize they're the main duo, the mc and deturgenoist, and main rivals, ofc the manga is gonna focus on these two's relationship the most and would give them multiple emotional moments and best development. This always happens in Shonen. How are you trying to downplay that? 😭 Like you're literally letting your bias taint your logic. And no last minute content getting crammed in the last 2 chapters of the epilogue is gonna erase those +400 chapters of development. Because we are not gonna forget about the main plot of the manga.

Anyway Arthur beats himself up over it later and is completely convinced that Merlin must feel heartbroken bc obvi his lackluster response must seem like a rejection Que Arthurs increasingly ridiculous courting attempts as he tries to show his feelings with actions meanwhile Merlin is confusion but decides to enjoy his new privileges If it is some kind of enchantment it's better if he sticks close to Arthur until he figures it out anyway, right?

Once Arthur comes back, Merlin will film EVERYTHING.

Merlin knows he will survive Arthur, no matter what. But sometimes, he's so busy trying to keep the memory, that he forgets to live them.

Arthur is annoyed at first because Merlin keeps holding that rectangular lightning brick in his face and asks him to stop. It takes a long while for him to listen.

But once he realises what Merlin is doing, Arthur keeps a video log. He uses it every night when Merlin is asleep, and sums up their day, confessing his love long before they even get together. Sometimes he hides a camera in their room, so they can live life normally, but Merlin will still keep the memory.

Arthur lives a long healthy life and dies a sudden death at the age of 98 in Merlin's crying arms. His will leave Merlin terrabites of memories.

It's so many that Merlin can't go through all of them before Arthur reincarnates once more :)
