- you notice his hands during introductions mostly because he’s constantly messing with them, taps them nervously on the counter when no one speaks to him and even fiddles with his fingers as he shoots you a tiny smile while dream says “that’s sapnap” – doesn’t reach his hand out, doesn’t put any part of himself out at all. they come back into focus when you’re eyeing the soda/drink table and deciding whether it’s worth it to mix a bunch of juices together and sapnap comes over. he grabs a bottled root beer and when he realizes it’s not a twist-cap, he sets the top against the edge of the kitchen counter and slams the flat of one big palm down until it pops. he does it so casually, then –

“i didn’t think that was gonna work,” he says quietly, throwing you a little look, before his face goes neutral again, twisting the cap in a wave pattern between each of his fingers.

he offers you another bottle, flashes his palms and shakes out his sleeves before repeating the counter-hit tactic (with a little extra fumbling and a “i messed that one up on purpose, just to be clear”) and even if your brain is rolling around your skull screaming “hands!” it makes it a lot easier to make conversation
