uhhh update on elio uhhh so elio was either born from 98-2000, (ik I keep changing the years but like I've seen people say neil went on the run at 8 which would mean elio wasn't even conseveied or he went on the run at 10 so really all I'm doing is just adding that neil is most likely 2 years older than elio, so the whole born in 98-99 thing is because that's what the fake birth certificate says that elio josten was in late September of 98 or 99 I haven't figured that out yet however I may elio actually have been born in late December of 2000 so elio is like 5 in tfc and then 6 post trk also elio is quite short for his age and no one really questions it cuz neil is short so.

also uhhh I'm still doing elios character sheet however I can say that elio does have a favourite fox and uhh it is/was seth so wooo guys seth gets a small character arc of accepting a kid dorming with him and than becoming attached to said kid so yay

so caseys story happens like after tkm probably like late 2007 early 2008, he is about 9-11 years old so he was roughly born in 97-98 due to him being born in mid november, uhhh timeline shit but oh well.

casey was an only kid but he did have an older cousin, casey's home life wasn't the best (cuz yk fox and all) uhhh other stuff ummm, right why casey ran intl the foxes and what state was he in to the point it worried probably a few of them, the state our little casey was in was bad, he had bruises,blood stains this is because of something I am withholding cuz I'm a bitch and I don't give away all my secrets.

i wanna agree with you on thea and i understand she went through the raven's cult and i recognize that trauma/experience but she considered, Jean —who was underage when it started— being used sexually and I'm even willing to be she knew he didn't ask for it because she's not stupid and has been in the team long enough, "old tricks." to me that's shitty. And her overall attitude is much too dismissive/demanding for someone that didn't involve herself to help and just get answers to understand a situation she didn't even plan to BE involved with.

She's a fine character, well written for the little importance and screentime given, but she's detestable to me and I cannot respect her beyond "I see you're a survivor and a fine player, for that I respect you."

That and their relationship (hers and Kevins) is the most undeveloped/boring of them so I have a natural bias against them as a couple too but that's obvious now

the nest is a cult. thea was in that cult for five years. thea did not get out earlier, like kevin did. thea was subject to brainwashing and abuse. thea was isolated from essentially anybody who wasn't a raven. thea was 18 when she got there. thea would have known nothing but the nest and become desensitized to the abuse that happened there. she would have looked past and ignored what the master told her to ignore because that is how cults work. that is how brainwashing works.

if you think her attitude is "too demanding" when she wants an explanation for kevin ignoring her for almost two years, read the book again. consider why the only canonical black character in it is "detestable" to you.

guys guys so like silly thought but au idea so we all know barbie as the princess and the pauper right so there's two ways this au can go

obviously we have the most common that everyone thinks this au could go with Erika being Andrew and Anneliese being Aaron, which would most likely have Julian bing Katelyn and then Dominick being Neil and obviously Anneliese's mother being Nicky instead of tilda and madame carp being idk someone (idk if cass would make sense for that) don't ask me about the cats the cats could very much just be the cats in the movie just changed for the au obviously Bertie would obviously be Renee, nick and nack could be uhh raven players ig, now preminger who to have him be idk riko but that wouldn't make any sense so

the second way this au could go is Erika being Neil and Anneliese being Katelyn yes playing into the massive headcanon that she and he look alike, and I was thinking what if I was to elio be in this au and then it hit me Wolfie could be elio like instead of him being a cat he could be elio (still Neil's kid cuz oh well fuck the movie canon) Dominick would obviously be Andrew and Julian would be Aaron, the Queen would be Katlyns mother, I'm gonna have Bertie be Allison or heck maybe even seth

like I can get how the line can get taken out of context but like it was the 2000s from what I remember from cousins I've had tell me it wasn't all that great for lgbtq+ people, plus what Kevin said does make sense from the state of it being a sport team and a college 1 thingy at that as well as the fact that they'd be in the public eye and under scrutiny for things like ik we don't fully know how the exy fans reacted to Neil going for riko but like we can just tell that from what the raven fans did kost likely no one liked him.

and like "it's easier to remain heterosexual" the whole wording of that is like to me he doesn't care what you do with other people about your personal relationships however going I the public eye it would be easy to play off being straight like going with paparazzi today they are invasive with what they do to people in the public eye like imagine the backlash from homophobic people if they find out one of their favourite footballers/soccer players are gay it wouldn't go down well, so Kevin was being very caring on suggesting it he wasn't demanding that neil remain straight Kevin couldn't really care less about Neil's swing situation he wasn't really raised to care relationships anyway If I remember correctly so yeah.

Kevin was being a good teammate and giving a suggestion that he believes/believed (irk if it changed) would help neil in the long run plus he says this like before finding out who neil is (if I recall correctly) so he was saying it while also having hopes that neil would go pro
