Heyyya guys!! After a month since Sonic Movie 3 released, there has been SO many fics out there! I've been trying to read everything (so I'm fairly behind on some of them, I've caught up until 15 January) - BUT! Because we have so much good works that have been out, I'd like to thank authors out there and spread my favorite fics to Tumblr

Welcome to Green Hills, Shadow. - by TalesofAlynthi - Main Tags: Fluff and Angst, Family Bonding, Brotherhood, Platonic Relationships - Summary: This was written before Sonic 3 came out, so it diverges from the movie and Shadow's story is more similar to the game one while keeping the fact he is just a kid,, BUT! It's FANTASTIC. Brilliant. Your heart will be torn so many times. Tom and Shadow's bonding is gold. The family tries to deal with a very traumatised boy who, every time he opens his mouth, just drop another bomb on them. Also brothers are bonding so well. There's 26 chapters out so far, and updating at least once a week (sometimes twice)

But then he discovers that actually Shadow is just an angsty sad lonely boy and it becomes harder to manage

I swear you guys need to read this if you need angst and running away from GUN (who are bastards again) and Shadow being the picture perfect image of the expressions "deer caught in headlights" and being scared af as he wants to exist but just ends up trying to survive in the cold of Green Hills, and Knuckles is the only one who manages to approach him and tries to coax him to join the family because he knows and understands him in such a deeper lever. Chapter 5 is gut-wrenching hurt/comfort sonadow and it's lovely

i will wait for you, whenever you need - by whoopdedoo - Sonadow, Shadow & the Wachowski - Serie - Main Tags: Tooth-Rotting Fluff, Light Angst, sonic loves his family, Stargazing, Feelings Realization, Mutual Pining, Crushes, Cuddling & Snuggling, Apologies, Maddie Is The Best Mother Ever, Tom Is The Best Father Ever, Racing, Sparring, Dancing, Pillow & Blanket Forts, Christmas Fluff, New Year's Fluff - Summary: difficult to summarise because this fic has so much but it's just so soft and fluffy and wholesome, I think one of the most cute fics I've read post-Sonic Movie 3. Sonic and Shadow reunites, catch up, and reconnect in part 1, and part 2 is a multi-chaptered fic of moments between Sonic and Shadow in the Wachowski household as their feelings grow for each other in pure domestic fashion

An Ounce of Peace - by @vilevenom - Shadow & Sonic - 1/1 - Summary: Shadow crashes on Earth and in a tragic twist of fate gets surrounded by GUN soldiers ready to capture him right away. Team Sonic is called in to help, without being told of the situation. It's so fucking sad and tragic as you read Shadow being torn between wanting to exist but not if it means getting captured by GUN again. It's short but I love it a lot (I just really like when team Sonic kicks up GUN because it didn't happen in the movie and I need it)

I've got you, so worry away. - by WolverieWrites - Sonadow, Shadow & the Wachowskis - 2/2 - Main Tags: Cuddling & Snuggling, Hugs, Hurt/Comfort, Wound Tending, Everyone Is Alive, Ozzie is the bestest - Summary: Shadow knocks on Sonic's door in a bad shape and Sonic takes him in and tries to process this new addition to his life (from what I remember there's lots of bonding with all the family in chapter 2 and it's just a great fix-it)
