gonna try to change, because my life is going down and I canβt sink to the floor.
personal changes!! π€
ππ learn fluent french
ππ learn piano
ππ clean room once a week again (used to be a neat freak)
ππ apply for a basic job (just to get out the house and get money)
ππ finding a better outlet for emotions
ππ create a secret food stash
ππ become engrossed with books again
ππ find better hobbies
ππ learn how to tango/ salsa (or a form of dance in general, I have 2 left feet)
academic changes!! π
ππ study from 12-4 (on weekends)
ππ get a tutor (for math)
ππ complete 3 short response questions for application + apply for program
physical changes!! π΅π§π½ββοΈ
ππ go to gym from 10-12 (weekends)
ππ work out at home
ππ purchase skincare
ππ purchase clothes
ππ purchase books/makeup
if anyone has tips on how to achieve any please let me know!
i go into high school this year and i just want to be the best version of myself π€

I really love this scene.
There are a few in depth topics I'd like to one day cover, but for now, I think opening up the conversation about her PTSD is pretty prevalent.
Also, I'm captivated by the way Manny shows up for Abby in this moment of vulnerability.
It genuinely confuses me when I read reviews or hear comments about Manny not having a personality or the story lacking in character development.
Just at a first glance, you can see their body language depicting a bond rooted in trust and mutual respect.
Manny wakes her perhaps too abruptly, but immediately leans into disarming language and open, non-threatening hands to calm her. He picks up on her defensive posture instantly and he's deliberate with his movements and tone after the fact.
He doesn't infantalize or shame her, which I think is extremely important and also speaks volumes about his character and their unique dynamic. But he understands how to approach her when her strength is peeled back to the cracks beneath.
The way he watches after her as she gets up off her makeshift bed stands out to me too.
Manny might be a womanizing pain in the ass on the outside, but deep down, he genuinely cares for the people in his circle. Abby especially.
Maybe you could order them off Amazon? Or find a pdf of it and download it, then read it!
Just to let you know, if we ever watch horror movies together I will be screaming, jumping, and crying at everything, even if itβs not a jumpscare because Iβm such a goddamn coward
