Surely someone has mentioned the substance that can be put on cords to keep pets from chewing on them, like the stuff people use to stop biting their own fingernails...

Luna moth

clinging to the wooden post for days unmoving as if dead ~ in shadow from the sunlight, stays ~ wings stretched out and still, abed.

Is this moth a bit drunk on ~ the nightshade in the sun? ~ Or more so, is it poisoned from the deadly nectar’s fun?

What sort of trip do moths need fear, besides as prey and flames? ~ Do high moths get excited, worried, happy waving antenna games, ~ like humans with their hands that see bright colors without aims.

Suddenly, the post is clear ~ how long has Luna moth vacated ~ to not fly drunk or high enough ~ from car grilles that bugs get plated. ~

Or you just went off and mated. 💚

Sleepy in the middle of the night when a thought occurs that must be written but playtime with the phone is going overlong...

When the sun comes through the window and the clouds then make it dim ~ and the brightness thus wreaks havoc to my eyes with blurred vision... repeat discomfort brings a panic as the sinus starts to run ~ and I try to beat a ticking clock, this dead zone kills my fun as mistakes get made, a tissue is sought, batteries need charging so I must plug it in...

[I must remember to audio record when there's no time to handwrite spur of the moment notions.]

Things go backwards or upside down, I comment to myself for fun and so that I don't frown.

Another monarch butterfly

Playing the piano in solitude with fruit punch in a glass and garlic crunchies in my modern day freezer. Yeah, dreamy. 💚

Forever wishing I was an 18th century vampire drinking blood out of a wine glass and gracefully playing the piano in my New Orleans town house while my daughter screams and my husband bitches about the importance of human life in the love seat across from me.

In honor of vulture awareness day, let me ask you a question.

Do you love vultures?

You should.

Here’s why:

1, They are simultaneously the most majestic, and the most f*cking derpy of birbs. Observe -

2. THEY’RE SO FUCKING BADASS. We all know that they eat dead things. Eww, right? Wrong. They’re capable of digesting fucking rabies, cholera, hundreds of strains of bacteria that would straight up kill your ass given the chance. They deserve ALL of the respect, but they don’t get any, because ‘eww they eat dead things’. 

3. THEY ARE FUCKING AMAZING AT WHAT THEY DO - Some of the highest flying birds ever recorded, with amazing eyesight and smell. Vultures are highly specialised - yes, that means they sometimes have bald heads. So what? People are all over sphinx cats and those semi-hairless dogs.

4. If you think they’re ugly, well, look at these precious babs and tell me you still don’t feel anything:

I have more reasons, but, look, I’ll just get straight to the point: 

THEY’RE GOING EXTINCT, AND MORE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW.

Populations of some vultures have fallen more than 90% in the last 20 years, and that’s scary as fuck. Reasons for this range from livestock carcasses being contaminated with certain drugs, to poachers killing them off because vultures give them away. But whatever the reasons, they’re dying off fast, and we need to act before it’s too late. We need to help protect them and conserve them as much if not more than some of the ‘cuter’ endangered creatures.
